Chareena is on a quiet end of Pattaya Beach, not too far to stroll down the beach to Walking Street. There are plenty of places to eat and drink along the beach, on walking street and on the many little lanes around that area. The beach is beautiful, soft white sand, a very warm clear sea and great snorkelling! The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows though the bathroom was basic, basic but functioning! The terrace is a nice place to sit and play cards or have a cold beer. The breakfast was great - plenty of choice each morning and the staff who run the breakfast room are lovely. Great eggs everyday - thank you team! If you want your room cleaned you have to ask at reception, ditto if you want toilet paper. They do leave a bottle of water per guest each day. The hotel runs a free pick up and drop off service on arrival and departure to the pier.

I believe they rent out their sun beds on the beach to non-residents which meant sometimes you had no-where to sit in comfort. Maybe a few more sun beds and umbrellas available on the beach for guests?

I was shown my hut which was cute but not very luxurious looking, but I got so comfy in this hut, with such a comfy bed and lovely warm shower. The resort is located on the beach you arrive on - Pattaya Beach, so it's easy just to walk to walking street down the beach. But the resort was located away from all the noisy resorts. Everything is quite accessible on this island, you can either walk or get a tuktuk for 50 baht. The resort picked me up and even took me to my next accommodations stop. When you arrive at the location, you will see lots of staff huts - I think - which will make you wonder where you are - so I do think they need to make that look bit more appealing and welcoming.

We loved the location just right off the beach. The breakfast buffet at their beach side restaurant was absolutely great with a different mix of items each day. And a really great variety of delicious dishes. All in all we really enjoyed the property. The only thing we experienced was a lack of attention to the bungalow we stayed in. We ran out of toilet paper and didn't get our room serviced but were only there for 3 days so it wasn't a big deal. They also had a nice beach bar and beach massage area and Tanya gave us a couple massages that were awesome. Tanya was so wonderful and just a delight to get to know. We hope to see her again in the future.

Loved the location and the staff were all very kind. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The air-conditioner in the garden room worked very well. They offered pickup and drop off to the pier and provided clean beach towels every day.

They forgot to pick us up on the first day, leaving us waiting for 45 mins and didn’t apologise. They didn’t offer vegetarian hot options at breakfast, but they made something when we asked. They didn’t clean the rooms unless requested, which meant the rubbish bin full of used toilet paper wasn’t emptied for 3 days and stank. Next time I would definitely make sure we asked for this to happen. The air-conditioner in the beachfront room didn’t work very well and we just put up with it, we should have asked them to fix it, very hot overnight. They don’t let you fill up the small water bottles provided, which meant we needed to buy more water bottles, which is not environmental. These were all small issues as it’s a great place, but I’d have liked to know before we went.

The pool and the beach are great. Rooms are really nice with one wall all window which makes it feel open and fresh. Staff SO NICE! There’s massage by the pool. Can’t say enough- it’s a fabulous place.

The hotel is located on the quieter side of Koh Lipe, making it a great spot away from all the hustle and bustle, which we really appreciated. Not far from the hotel’s sun loungers, you can swim with various interesting fish, including clownfish, which was a delightful treat. Additionally, the hotel offers: a good breakfast, friendly staff, a convenient location, and free transfer from the ferry.

The hotel staff could improve their English, but it’s not a big issue. The bathrooms aren’t the cleanest, but they’re manageable.

A great location right on the beach, away from the main street and all the noise and crowds but still 10mins walk to the "center ". Room was cleaned every day, and water was provided. They also picked us up from the ferry harbor free of charge. Staff was nice but some of them didn't understand English that well.

It's a "muslim" hotel, so no alcohol sold there, but a bar to buy a cold beer is just next door. No hot water in the shower, that was the only thing we didn't like..

They were very compassionate and pushed my booking back a day at the last moment due to ferry cancellations. I think I would rate them a 6/10 without it at the cost. Lovely comfy bedroom Nice balcony to relax on, shame that it's too hot to sit outside without a fan! The bathroom was better than expected, if you're used to backpacking that is

You can't ignore the cockroaches and ants. Most days you will find some in the bathroom. Luckily they kept themselves siloed in there. Their English is quite poor, we struggled to communicate at times. They provide you a WhatsApp to contact them with, which would be amazing, except they ask you to come to reception each time. We are the guests, stop being lazy please and come to us or don't bother with a WhatsApp line. If you plan on spending a lot of time on Walking Street then this location is hard work in the heat marching up and down the beach. The road quality around the bungalow is DANGEROUS. I do not recommend the tuk tuk taxis. We were terrified. Laundry service was slow and expensive. There is no alcohol served at this resort.

The rooms were very clean and the staff were very welcoming. They will ask and help you book your ferry ticket based on your return date.

We stayed at Chareena beach bungalows for 4 days and enjoyed it a lot. The bungalows are a little old but have everything you need, plus the hotel offers additional services such as daytrips/tours, laundry, jetty transfers, etc. The location is amazing right at the best beach of the island but far enough from the main street to have a good night sleep. Also, the on site restaurant had great food like pad thai and papaya salad!
