POV: British Family of 4 with 2 kids aged 6&9 Wow what a find! The perfect hideaway for a couple of nights - away from the busy streets of Phi Phi and only a 10 minute (free) longtail transfer away. Location: It’s hard to believe we were only 10 minutes long tail from the pier. It felt wonderfully isolated. You can walk to the town (approx. 20 min) or the next beach (15min) but as we were only there for 2 nights we stayed in the hotel area Hotel Room: We booked a family suite but were upgraded to two identical villas on one floor which were enormous and beautiful with large terraces and hammocks overlooking the sea. It felt like a jungle paradise as we walked up the hill to get to them. The rooms were beautiful, 4 poster beds with mosquito nets, large towels, spacious storage, fridge, free water and even pyjamas. The bathrooms were also spacious with a separate shower and bath. Hotel Facilities: The hotel consists of a restaurant area on the beach and separate villas / rooms spread across the jungle-style landscape with views over the Andaman sea. From our room it was about 5 minute walk to the beach. They provide umbrellas if you’re caught in a downpour. Note: like the other reviews, I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with mobility issues. The rooms are accessed via steep steps and to get to the resort you need to be able to get in and out of longboats onto the beach. Food: The restaurant food was great. I had the best pad Thai here and a number of other dishes. Considering they have a captive market it’s all reasonable priced too. Breakfast wasn’t as good as the rest of the restaurant meals. Swimming was lovely. Clear waters and nice rocky areas for snorkelling. The kids had enough space in the Sandy areas to swim safely and lived jumping the waves. The sand is the finest and softest we’ve seen in all of Thailand.

We originally booked only 1 night stay however once we arrived we didn’t want to leave so extended our stay to 3 nights- we could of easily stayed of a week. The staff met us at the pier as you have to get to this resort by boat as it is on its own private beach- so wear shorts or swimwear with cover ups as you get off the boat into the water but this is what makes the place so quiet and scenic. We were welcomed with cold towels and infused water by the staff who were extremely accommodating and gave us a free upgrade without asking to the most stunning tree hut villa. It is completely out of the way of the busy phi phi islands which was well needed for us to relax after busy week’s traveling- we cannot comment on the location in relation to how the walk is from the town or other beaches as we never once left the resort during our stay as they have a gorgeous beach to relax on, plenty of high quality meals with a large variety at reasonable prices and if you want something to do during the day you can hire snorkels or kayak or relax in your room which are all uniquely furnished, well kept and clean. We could not recommend this resort enough to couples, families or anyone who enjoys relaxing with beautiful views of phi phi islands whilst still staying out of the way. All the staff are happy and warm it is a pleasure to conversate with them and found them extremely tentative to all our needs as our air on cut out due to the power cut which is no fault of their own- they quickly got someone in to fix it and were reassured if it could not be resolved we could move rooms. We were overall made to feel really special and looked after and already planning our trip back here.

Nothing it was perfect just be aware to bring plenty of mosquitoe repellent and after care- and there as plenty of moneys and kittens which were harmless

The minute we arrived by the boat we were served cold tea and a towel to wipe out faces (like in the movie 😭). Employees escorted us to the room and took our suitcases for us. We stayed in RimLay2 bungalow. What a gorgeous little space. The view from the balcony/terrace is breathtaking. The resort itself is a little paradise. Nice food in the restaurant, the girl who fries eggs and pancakes in the morning is great, you must try her coconut pancakes, they are addictive. Ladies at the massage hut are very good. There are quite few cats in the resort, we made a friend with one and stole a breakfast sausage for a baby cat we named Peepee (off course). Guys, look after him (or her). The resort is like 15-20min by walk from the town. But we didn't want to party in the main party place anyway. If you are traveling around Thailand, you can enjoy similar party streets in Krabi, Phuket and so on.

Litter, plastic, random rubbish bags, paint cans are seen outside the huts and around the resort. If those items were removed and cleaned there is no better place to be. It would only take a few hrs for someone to walk around and collect the rubbish from time to time.

Very nice stay 😎 The private beach is great and the swimming area is nice and secured. We really enjoyed the view from the room. And the bathtub window provided a view on the bay. The room was spacious and I liked the wooden materials that reflect a more traditional Thai style. It is a pleasure to have plenty of cats going around the resort. They are so friendly 😊 The resort is a few minutes away from the main town with the boat. Very convenient. The personnel is really kind and helpful. I have not had too much problems to find vegan food. I definitely recommend this resort🙂

Private bungalows; everyday cleaning and water; private beach (we’ve found it much better than Long Beach); clean water in the mornings so you can snorkeling and watch many spices of fish; market is nearby (10 min of quote dangerous route- there are 2 and both are similar by difficulty); there many animals in the wild (not sure if it is an advantage or disadvantage) and also cats (I like them); variety of food for breakfast is excellent (hot & cold dishes, fruits, cereal, plant based milk and a few juices, coffee and tea bags, croissants & local desserts, omelette and pancakes)

Cleaning staff doesn’t speak English at all, better ask at the reception; most of the dishes from the menu (if you have lunch or breakfast there) are really spicy (ask before order); starting from 10am the water at the beach becomes dirty from the diesel they use for long tail boats; the cockroaches sometimes appear in the bungalow

Location was great. Bungalows really lovely with sea view and big balconies. Very spacious rooms and loved the more authentic Thai decor. Staff very helpful. Loved the boat to and from Phi Phi main town.

Resort is difficult to reach by foot. So you need to use the boat too and from town. We tried the walking route and got lost in the jungle and eaten alive by mosquitoes. Nothing to do with hotel but if you take a tourist trip to Monkey Beach beware of the monkeys. Without provocation they scratched me and ended up with £1k worth of medical costs for rabies prevention. Better to stay in deep water or in the boat!

This is one of our favourite resorts. The 'tree' houses are fabulous. The hammocks on the balcony are awesome. The high ceilings in the rooms, along with the mosquito nets add a romantic feel. We had a grand villa and it was huge. Large rooms, super comfortable beds and big balconys meant there was enough space for us all. The private beach is great and the restaurant right on the beach creates a relaxing to eating atmosphere. The food is good and excellent value for money. The BBQ at night is great. Breakfast is ok. The resort offers complementary transfers to and from the ferry terminal on arrival and departure. The bathrooms were big and well appointed. The rooms offer shoes for indoor and outdoor as well as torches. WIFI is good and consistent. The front desk are super helpful at booking ferries and tours. Our kids loved the resort as well. Easy walk over to long beach and 15 minute easy walk in to the main town.

So much different u are basically in a jungle with a privare deluxe beach. We have woke up to some noise on our tarrace a there was a group of monkeys just having fun 😂. So brilliant!!! staff was kind and helpfull like always in phi phi and arrange nice private tours as well as transffers on the other islands. Every single evening they were doing BBQ and food and drinks were delicious. They have a “fatboys” for sitting at the beach and it was really comfy. Color of water and scenery … best what i experience in whole thailand.

This place is unbeliavable. just the private beach that they have makes the hotel. Room was also beautiful, deep in the nature. staff was cool and you can even take boats and ferrys with them (prices in line with buying to the harbor) Location is probably the key part and depends on what you like. It can be the best or the worst depending what you are looking for. From the hotel to the center is a 20-25 minutes walkin, with several parts of the walk completely in the dark and there are no other options to go from the hotel to the center at night, given that longtails end their service at 9pm. Nothing crazy, but it's a trade-off with the private beach and the closeby to long beach (one of the coolest beaches of phi-phi)

Again, location can be the best or the worst depending on what you want. If you are looking for parties and restaurants, this is not your hotel. If you are looking for beaches and quiet-5star resort in the nature, then this is the best place you can find

Great service, stayed in the grand deluxe with Aircon room (M8). Great views, from room 1-2mins STEEP walk up from reception but don't worry staff handle all luggage from the moment they take it off the boat at arrival and effortlessly took our 20kg bags to the room and back from the room when we checked out. This room also had a shortcut to long beach right behind the room (3-5MIN walk). Long beach amazing place to relax can also can bargain with longtail boats from here to do tours in phi phi ley or bamboo island etc, a small shop, food kitchen and other hotels with their facilities also on this beach. Room was amazing WiFi not so..but we had esim cards with Airola - very cheap, perfect 5g signal all over Thailand, even in the remote similan islands I had perfect signal!! Also Many friendly cats around the properties/hotel (MANY on the whole island) and one who would hang out everyday with us in the front balcony/hammock area :)

Not a dislike but FYI.. Walking to town is possible 20-35mins (depending how quick you can walk in the heat..) but maybe to save time and energy make use of services from hotel, with drop offs to town via longtail boat from reception was 100 or 200baht per person. Bargaining later at night with other longtail boats after hotel services have stopped, from town back to viking they may charge around 300-400 at best for 2people.
