Arrival: The hostel is easy to get to by taxi from the airport. I used the official taxi service from BKK airport at midnight and paid around 150 THB including the highway toll charge. Location: The hostel is directly above a 7-11, which is a great place to get snacks if you arrive hungry. Kitchen: There is a kitchenette and seating area at the hostel with a microwave, a few dishes, a water machine and fridge, and you clean your own dishes. I left before breakfast started so I can't comment on that. Staff: The woman on reception was welcoming and friendly. She explained everything clearly and helped me book my return taxi via the Grab app, which I was using for the first time. Security: I felt very safe and secure here. The receptionist has to buzz you in, so there is security right from the first moment you step inside, and you need a key to enter the hostel from the reception area. You're also given a key for a spacious locker, and a key to enter your dorm room. Bathroom: The bathroom facilities were excellent, just like the photos uploaded by other guests. I requested a towel and pajamas, which I was handed in a lovely canvas bag for me to borrow during my stay. The shower had great pressure and temperature, there were multiple hairdryers and various toiletries such as lotion, cotton buds (Q-tips), shower caps etc, as well as shampoo and shower gel in each of the 2 showers. Dorms: Each bed is spacious inside the cubicle and they each have a curtain, a shelf, a plug socket and a reading light. There were fans on the ceiling of the main area. I slept well in the few hours I stayed at the hostel. Overall, highly recommended!

Traffic taught me a hard lesson - always budget double the time for Grab rides in Bangkok! Thankfully, the front desk at Mariya Hostel went above and beyond to help me avoid being late for my appointment. Their quick thinking and local tips were a game-changer. I also loved their eco-conscious approach—no wasteful energy use here! Aircon is only on when guests are present, which aligns perfectly with sustainable travel. A rare find! Tip for future guests: Plan for extra transit time, and enjoy a stay that’s as kind to the planet as it is to travelers. 10/10!!

Mariya Hostel was clean and well-located, but as a light sleeper, I struggled with noise from fellow backpackers arriving late at night. The sound of zippers and shuffling bags made it hard to rest—something to note if you’re an early sleeper! That said, the staff were friendly, and I loved the hostel’s eco-friendly vibe. Maybe earplugs or a designated ‘quiet hours’ policy could help future guests. Still, a solid choice for the price!

Everything....... The place is very clean, lovely comfortable beds, with clean crisp white sheets & towels. ( changed every 3 days, amazing place) The shower/bathroom facilities very good, everything cleaned regularly. The staff are all amazing, pleasant, and very helpful, who go above and beyond to accommodate bookings, help with anything, from arranging a taxi to printing any docs free. The small touches, hand wash, body lotion, tissues, toilet rolls replenished, plenty in stock. Free coffee, tea, snacks, water. 7 eleven literally at the bottom of the stairs, with mini lotus a few steps away. Texas chicken opposite side of the road. Even a lady at the rear of the building, who'll wash & dry clothes, ( a decent size bagful, 130 thb £2.80. The deluxe room has 4 large private bunks, amazing, had such a wonderful stay! I recently stayed at this hostel and was struck by the thoughtful design and attention to detail throughout. Every corner of the property exudes care—from the impeccably clean spaces to the charming extras like a complimentary pair of pyjamas, a free towel presented in a cute bag, and even an adorable elephant wallet for your keys. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, complete with privacy curtains that create a cozy, personal sleeping area. Practical amenities such as several hair dryers in the shower room, along with shampoo, soap, and flip-flops, ensured that every need was met. The friendly staff, especially the welcoming lady at check-in, made the experience even more pleasant. Its proximity to the airport makes it an ideal choice for a convenient, overnight stay.

However, a significant drawback was the malfunctioning card reader. Arriving late, I was unexpectedly woken at 4:30 AM by staff knocking on my door due to the system failure, with no manual override available. This early disturbance was particularly frustrating since I had a late arrival and needed the extra rest before an early departure. While I believe this was an isolated incident, it’s worth double-checking the door system if you’re planning to leave the room during off-hours. Despite this issue, I would still choose to stay again.

This hostel was the first stay I've had in Bangkok so far where the hospitality exceeded expectations. The moment I entered Mariya Lady Hostel, I was met with warmth, hospitality and an overall safe and peaceful environment for women. In addition to this, a towel, pajamas, and basic bathroom necessities are provided. A basic breakfast, tea and coffee is provided too. They give a tour to ensure you are informed on how to navigate around the hostel. They will gladly provide answers if you have any concerns or questions, they were available throughout the day. The layout of their hostel is intentional and serene. Natural light illuminates parts of the hostel and are also decorated with beautiful art. I would highly recommend this hostel to any female traveler looking for a peaceful, overnight or weekend rest.

Wifi kept disconnecting but would automatically connect again.

Location-15 min by taxi to the airport= excellent location if your flight is at 6 am Interior- it’s very, very modern and clean place with really nice interior; it’s more of a spa hotel rather than a hostel; staying there was a better experience than in most hotels 24/7 reception with super friendly and helpful staff ( one can check in anytime ( which is not obvious at accomodations by booking dot com); they advised to take meter taxi to the airport for 60 bahts instead of Grab taxi for 350 bahts) Although there are 8 beds in the room there were only 2 of us in the room so the sleep was undisturbed. First time I stayed there was after my Bangkok sightseeing to take an internal flight early morning. Staying there was so comfortable that I booked it again 2 weeks later to stay there the night before my departure for Europe.

It is diffucult to find the entrance. I spent good 10 min walking around with the suitcase in its dodgy neighbourhood to find the front door. Would be usefull if they had a photo of the entrance in their website. Everything else as expected ( and as described in booking.com) or even better. It was the first time that I was positively surprised by the quality of the accomodation booked via booking dot com

Hello! I rented a bed for two nights. I arrived in the evening, at 8 pm, and was met by a very nice and cheerful employee. Throughout my stay at the hotel, she always asked if everything was okay, and also helped me with things I was lost in (the key card, for example). So I want to say a special thank you to her! (the lady who worked the night shift). She is the great face of this place! And also, of course, cozy beds, a beautifully decorated bathroom, a pleasant dining room. The only thing is that if you have a suitcase, you will have to sweat to lift it. But there is a store downstairs, so the likelihood that someone will help you is high. They helped me lift it😁

The stay at Mariya hostel was a delight! I was travelling alone and I never felt more cared, comfortable and safe in any other hostel before! The taxi from the airport to the hostel cost 70 Baht, extremely cheap and it is close from it. The beds were super clean and 100% comfortable! The staff is a delight, they helped me a lot to navigate through the city by myself by using the railway. This way of transport is fast and cheap. I cannot wait to come back here again!

The location is good - 7/11 is just at the same building. A bit tricky to find the hostel at first as there is no visible sign. A couple of local restaurants and local night market close by. A lovely amenity basket for guests. The best part is staff - August! She is an asset and amazingly helpful. It is above and beyond service.

When I call prior to making a booking, the lady over the phone was not professional. It was not that helpful to make my booking. I needed to call several times to inquire to make a booking. My boyfriend even asked “why would you book if it is not possible, just book another hotel.” But I insisted to book here for some reasons and I did enjoy in spite of 5 hours stay, loved pretty property and staff August’s service.

I liked everything ! Everything was super nice, super clean, decorated with taste. They thought of every detail. I felt super safe surrounded by amazing women. The staff was AMAZING. Specially, Chili (IDK how to write her name) So kind and super fun. :)

Some of the guests are just nasty. Don't flush after going to the toilet.. go to the bathroom with flip flop and create a massive mud puddle. Respect the other guests and the staff please ! !!!!
