Ok but disappointed as we did not get our sea view and beach bungalow. Had to have a different room that had no views because of toilets not working Shame could have been a lot better

Privacy and chilled vibes of the property are fantastic. Main pool area and beach lovely. Breakfast really nice and always a tuc tuc waiting at the top of the hotel to take you to the main strip.

We paid for a duplex pool villa. It was gorgeous but I wasnt impressed with the view and asked the see the best room & upgrade as they offer sea view pool villas. Went to the villa, it was smaller and there was no sea view. I think if your going to sell a sea view room it needs to be a sea view not little gaps in the trees. Also the sunbeds in the room where very uncomfortable, no cushions which I think should be provided as staying in a luxury villa.

Lovely room - nice bathroom, very comfy bed. Great pool area - right on the beautiful beach. Pool table / gym facilities were good. We were provided with a free one-way airport transfer, which was handy.

We arrived before check-in, dropped our bags and were told to come back at 2pm (check-in time) which we expected. We came back at 2pm and were told it would be 15 minutes but we had to chase and it ended up being 35 minutes. This was a bit disappointing as if we'd been told it would be a bit longer, we'd simply have gone and sat in a bar / restaurant. The bar / restaurant plays music all day when personally, I don't think such a beautiful setting needs noise all day long and I think lessens the "boutique" side of things.

I appreciated the warm welcome when I arrived in the Resort which is well located, in front of Chaweng beach and not far from the city centre. The restaurant Olivio was really good, quiet and with a very beautiful and relaxing view on the beach. The bedroom is very spacious and the bed is big. Concerning the staff, i would like to thank especially Pan who is working at the reception. She has been the most friendly and helping person with me in this Resort. She gave me really good recommandations for restaurants, places to go in Koh Samui, dishes to try, and so on. Plus, when i was leaving the Resort, she offered me a wonderful long navy blue skirt with elefants :-D Its a really nice memory of my stay at Baan Haad Ngam Resort and I recommend you to ask her for any recommandation if you stay there !

It was quite noisy, especially when your bedroom is on the ground floor, you hear everyone passing and talking during the night and some of them were talking very loud so I couldn't sleep well most of the time.

The rooms were spacious and well designed. I liked the individual little pools.

There is almost no beach area so it was not possible to lie in the beach and there sometimes were not enough lounge chairs by the pool in the mornings. Comforters were too heavy for this muggy climate.

We went to Koh Samui for our honeymoon. I went to 3 different hotels in Koh Samui and Baan Had Ngam really sticks out. Especially the staff. Katie, Phon and the guards thank you very much. The staff was extremely friendly. We were welcomed with ice cold small towels. This was very helpful because i could not stand the heat haha! My wife wears a headscarf so we wanted a pool with extra privacy. The room we had booked at first was private but not enough. They called us to move us to a more private room, which was very kind of them. We REALLY appreciated that. The rooms and the pool was very clean. I’m a hygiene freak so I have a hard time in hotels and resorts etc. I was happy with how everything was cleaned daily. The extra’s (shower cap, toothbrush, cotton swabs etc) in the bathroom were replaced every day. Also, my wife is scared of insects, we told the staff that. They checked for insects in our room every day. Oh and not to forget, the sea is a one minute walk and VERY CLEAN! You can also Kayak, the first hour is free. Very calm and also you can walk for meters and the water still is at knee level. The other sea’s in Koh Samui we went to are not as clean. Long story short, out of the three hotels, Baan Had Ngam was the best one.

The chicken and meat at the restaurant was not halal so we could only eat fish or vegan. Which is ok btw because there are halal restaurants nearby.

wry poor TV coverage. I think that for the money this resort should have an array of International satellite channels including movies and sport. This is the only knock on the Resort

Very quiet and relaxing place

It's a little distant from the main area of chaweng i rented a motorcycle and solved that part, its easy to get everywhere. The hotel has only one restaurant, and doesn't have a good service near the pool area. , .

Absolutely amazing experience staying here as a solo female on 2 separate ocassions, I liked it so much the first time that I came back at the end of my travels. Clean and comfy accommodation, great location, lovely Western breakfast, very accommodating staff, extremely spacious rooms with free WiFi that works and Smart TVs. Only thing that could have been slightly improved is the shower, but aside from this it was absolutely a 5 star stay! I booked a room with an airport transfer included and I am very happy with the service, the hotel has its own minibus which has air conditioning and they picked me up and dropped me off at the airport on time. Gym facility was brilliant, it was air conditioned and has a decent number of machines to get a good workout in. Room service food was very tasty and I got 4 free bottles of Singha water in my room which was very much appreciated in the heat. The staff even dropped me to my next accommodation up the road for free which was so nice of them.

Very minor but the shower could have done with a little refresh and there were works happening at the hotel in the daytime during my stay so it was a little noisy at times but definitely not a big deal.

We stayed here for 4 weeks Nov into Dec 2022. The hotel was/is going through some renovations currently in preparation for the busy festive period. The new poolside bar was completed just before we left, which is a big improvement to the pool area and Olivio restaurant. Some rooms are also undergoing a complete refit, hence the number of free upgrades. We really enjoyed our stay at Baan Haad Ngam and in our experience all the staff made it special. There are some little niggles in the villa's but nothing to complain about. Insect bites are a problem in the area and it doesn't help with so much standing water in the grounds. We are not big eaters so didn't try breakfast but on the occasions that we did dine at Olivio we found the quality of the food to be excellent. Yes it is pricier than other local restaurants but it is convenient during a downpour. The free shuttle bus was convenient into town but you have to make your own way back. 200 baht for two each way for a songthaw (taxi). We were provided with airport pickup and drop off free which really does make life easier. Thank you, BHN.

The pool area looks lovely, but the tan coloured floor tiles are extremely slippery compared to the grey tiles when wet. Caution when walking around the pool. The loungers on the opposite side of the pool to the bar suffer from more annoying insects than elsewhere due to the foliage. As do the seats outside the villa's. Plenty of insect repellent required. The shower needs some attention in room 409 also the shower door allows water to pool outside the shower room.
