I've stayed at Rena House previously and have always loved it. I wanted to have the best accommodations I could reasonably afford for my last 2 weeks in Chiang Mai and so I chose Rena House. I can always trust the spectacular cleanliness and friendliness of Rena House. The guesthouse owner is exceptionally warm, helpful and kind. She tends to every need without having to ask. Once she noticed that I was hand washing my clothing she provided me with a plastic washbasin and a drying rack. Breakfast fruits were available for all guests every morning and were of excellent quality. The owner is helpful with guiding guests to whatever services, restaurants, shopping, and outings that they may be seeking.

Unfortunately a large guesthouse is being constructed immediately adjacent to Rena House at the moment. It should be completed in another few months.

Our stay was truly amazing, ranking among our favorites in Thailand. To start with, the owner is very kind, we felt welcomed. The spotlessly clean room was a significant plus for me. The modern design and the separation of toilet and shower with a wall were unexpected bonuses, uncommon in Thailand. The room was well-equipped, and the location couldn't be better. Stepping out of the property we found ourselves in the enchanting narrow streets of Chiang Mai's old town, filled with bars and restaurants. Everything was perfect, and we were eager to return, but alas, it was already fully booked.

No such thing

Receptionist was incredibly helpful and kind. The whole place is very clean and tidy. Rooms include a balcony area, a small fridge, a spacious bathroom, a table, and even a clothes drying rack (there is a laundry mat area a minute walk away so it's not easy to do your own laundry if you're on a budget). It's also in a great location close to a lot of restaurants and street markets.

Nothing. Stay was exactly what I wanted.

Spotless clean, fresh simple beds, spacious room, water kettle tea and coffee in room. Very supportive and helpful host and staff. Quiet quarter. Offering of free water, fruit and cookies for guests during day. Would choose it again.

Not much. At the Moment there is a temporary construction site next to the property and made some noise, but was ok.

Every moment at Rena House in Chiangmai was thoroughly enjoyable. The immaculate space is attended to daily, with rooms featuring comfortable beds and air conditioning, making for a cozy stay. Nestled within the old town square, it offers easy access to local sights, with everything just a short walk away. The accommodations come with clean drinking water, a fridge, reliable internet, and any other amenity one might need. However, what truly elevated my experience was the owner's unwavering attentiveness and helpfulness, ensuring a pleasant stay. I wholeheartedly recommend Rena House, consider yourself fortunate if you find availability. It's an exceptional choice for anyone visiting Chiang Mai, blending comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality.

We had a very pleasant stay at Rena house. The owner lady and the housekeeper lady were very respectful, friendly and always ready to help. The guest house was exceptionally clean and tidy. It is centrally located. Restaurants, markets, massage parlours are within 5 minutes walk. Three recommended historical temples are also all within 15 minutes walking distance. Ride between train station and guest house was 15 minutes by taxi. I will return to Rena house any day if I ever make it to Chiang Mai in future.

Rena House is a very well maintained property in a great location within the old city of Chiang Mai. From memory, it only has 7 or 8 guest rooms. I cant fault the room I had. It is spotlessly clean. The host is exceptional, very caring and will assist with any matters raised.

The block of land adjacent to the property is undergoing construction. However it's reality and work is only being carried out between 8am and 5pm. As most guests will be out and about during the day, this should not be an issue.

There were bananas, watermelon and cookies waiting for us every morning. And two bottles of water were supplied into the room with Each cleaning. Innkeeper is a very nice lady who keeps the room spotless. The air-conditioning works good and there is also an oscillating fan. She provides laundry service as well.

The place feels very new and clean. The house is located in a quiet alley in the middle of a backpacker area so you get quiet nights to sleep but can still enjoy some touristy vibe around. Everything is provided in this spacious room to make the stay comfortable but still keep a minimalist and clean feel to the place.

The place is not exactly close to the main attractions. But hard to find something central to everything you want to visit anyway. Very close to the bus stop for Doi Suthep at least.

Loved it. Spotless, spacious, great location yet quiet and lovely staff. Oh and comfy bed. Our new favourite in Chiang Mai. We will be back,
