Excellent stay at Barali for 8 nights ,which I extended from my original 5 night stay. Reception was welcoming and efficient. My villa room was ready on time as promised. The villa was spacious with a huge bathroom. AC, TV, and WiFi worked very well. The room was a bit dated and could use a refresh. Other than a light needed. refresh, the room was perfect. The rooms are just steps from the great pool and the expansive beach. The breakfast area overlooks the pool and the beach. The sunbeds on the beach are plentiful and were always available to use 24 hours a day. ●●● be aware of the red ants and the sandfies around the beach area , especially near the casurina trees. . They can be annoying at times.●●● Breakfast started at 7 , with the ever- cheerful staff doing a great job cooking and serving. Breakfast is buffet style with a decent choice of both Western and Thai dishes offered. The breakfast area again has a great view of the pool and the beach. ■The location of the Barali is superb if you want to be centrally located , equidistant from the northside ( ferry terminal ), and the south side of Koh Chang. There are loads of restaurants, bars , stores , massage shops, and other diversions located in either direction on the main road. The Barali is handicap ♿️ doable, but be aware that the fieldstone used to pave the paths might present issues for severely mobility challenged individuals. Final Take.....Recommended !!!!. I would have no problem booking the Barali again.

We booked 2 rooms for my Mum's birthday and we absolutely loved it! The beach front villa is stunning, super comfortable, and literally right on the beach with your own little terrace and sun loungers. We also had a room further back that was huge and super comfortable. The beds are amazing! The pool is beautiful, also right on the beach and it has a swim-up bar with little seats! I always expect the food at resort restaurants to be average but it was absolutely outstanding! The best thing about this place though was the staff. Everyone was SO friendly, helpful, and kind - they really made the trip extra special. My mums room was decorated when we arrived and they made a special table up for us for her birthday dinner and brought us a cake, it was so sweet!

We were cruising around the island and checking other resorts because we wanted to stay longer than we planned and Barali was just perfect in the terms of location, service and facilities. Sonwe decided to stay here a few more days. It is designed perfectly, the landscape architecture is amazing, you have a filling that you are in the middle of the jungle. Klong prao beach is the most beautiful beach on the island, especially on the sunset. Breakfast was amazing and stuff very kind. They helped us arrange the transportation back to Bangkok.

Pretty much everything! Barali Resort is without question the best resort on this beach. It may be less "grand" than one or two of them, but its aesthetic, its wonderful staff, the excellent buffet breakfast, and the by far best stretch of the beach it commands make it stand out among them all. We would be delighted to return here! P.S. To correct a billing mistake I didn't even catch myself, Barali Resort sent one of their staff, equipped with a credit card machine, to the near-by town we had moved to. We were at the beach at the time, so they again sent this lady to reimburse us when we returned to our new accommodation! Needless to say, we were hugely impressed with their honesty and their service.

This is not Barali's fault at all, but the beach has some small rocks and stones scattered on the seabed. We cut our feet on them and would advise other guests to wear water shoes.

beautiful resort on a stunning cove of beach. amazing sunsets each night with the view of the islands in the distance. the resort is nestled in a lovely cove and every direction you look is just paradice. loved my room, such a comfortable bed and pillows. I seemed to have the best room amongst my friends, we all stayed in deluxe villas but I had a detached villa with a smart TV and larger room, and they had semi detached villas with smaller room and less windows and no smart TV.

the resort spa closed in 2020 and is still waiting to be reopened. wish they would turn this into a gym and have yoga classes or more activities.

The room was spacious, clean and featured an excellent bath and beautiful bathroom. The pool is clean and the sun loungers are plenty and comfortable. But what stood out most was the wonderful staff. We both have celiac disease and require some extra care, especially at breakfast or other buffets like during a special night to celebrate Loy Krathong. We could ask questions about the food and when there was little on offer that we could eat at breakfast they made us delicious fresh food. This made our stay much more relaxing and we are really thankful :-) Other staff are also great, like the cleaning lady who's smile seemed to get bigger each time we saw her.

What can I say about this wonderful place. Absolutely fantastic. The resort is perfectly located and the chalet was very comfortable and quite modern. All expected amenities, great shower, sunken bath and a lovely veranda. Staff give 110 percent. Low season when I went so a bit of maintenance going on but the folk doing that were great too. I would highly recommend this resort for anyone visiting Koh Chang.

Having to leave.

Great location on the beach. We had a beach villa and a pool villa. Big rooms that easily can fit 4 people. Breakfast was good, and the restaurant on the beach was just amazing. Great staff, and even if it was a bit more expensive than restaurant on the main Street, we still ate there some days. It was because of the people who worked in the restaurant, we decided to book at the hotel. We stayed a night at the Centara next door, but Barali was just so much better, and I will stay here if I come back to Koh Chang

Loved everything

The setting, the beach and the staff made for an exceptional vacation spot, especially if you enjoy the water and beach combing. A bit of a walk to the main road of Klong Phrao with restaurants, a few shops, etc but free rides there made it easy. The villa was lovely with the most comfortable bed we’d had in our six weeks away. Oh and the pool was lovely too - warm and clean and well tended.

While the breakfast (overlooking the ocean) was fantastic the dinners weren’t of the same calibre - maybe we just chose the wrong dishes to try. Also the hot water wasn’t very hot on the three cloudier days we experienced. But hardly something to complain about!
