We stayed here four times over ten years. The hotel is old school island, not gltitzy and very natural. The staff are lovely and the location on Bahn Kantiang is second only to smaller islands like Koh Kradan to the South. In that the Pimalai is down the road and there is no such thing as a private beach in TH, it's not likely that much will change here. We have several "go-tos" nearby for lunch and dinner including Drunken Sailor, Same Same on the beach and a couple of new places this season - Black Swan for breakfast and Rock and Roll up the hill. The location is quiet and great for families. We use Lanta Diver who are based in Saladan but have an office at the Pimalai.

Having said that the hotel's not changed much, the linen and towels are getting tired - recognise the COVID era was tough on this region but it's time for a bit of investment. The rooms are spacious with good beds but the bathrooms are ready for an overhaul, especially the showers. Room servicing can be a bit hit and miss - we see past this for the location and staff.

The location is wonderful, just in front of the sea and near to different places to have a meal. The room is very comfortable and there’s a lot of space. There’s a very pleasant restaurant just near the hotel in which there’s live music and shows and good food and drinks. The staff is good and helpful. The beach is full of calm and it’s the best place to relax and disconnect from chaos.

The rooms need restauration, facilities are getting old. Too many mosquitoes in the room when we arrived. Too many ants everywhere, even in the breakfast area, especially on the table on which food is served. The breakfast could be improved with more sweet choices.

Old world rustic charm, good sized room. Lovely staff. It's right on the beach. In that the Pimalai is further along, it's unlikely the area will be developed further, which has not changed in the last decade. It's quiet with a number of good restaurants nearby - Drunken Sailor and Same Same are both excellent, well established family businesses.

There's not much to say here. I like the place, but if you like shiny modern, it may not be for you.

My stay at this hotel was mainly positive. Large, spacious rooms with a sea view in a quiet location meet all the requirements for a good holiday. The hotel has a spa area, swimming pool, restaurant and excellent drinks, which can be purchased during happy hour. The photos do not reflect the high quality.

Stayed at the beachfront suite, on the 2nd floor, and it was the most beautiful view to wake up to every morning! The rooms were very cute and clean (there were occasionally little ants on the nightstand and tables but we weren't bothered by that at all). The staff were friendly and would often engage with us. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety every morning. The beach (Kantiang Beach) itself was not crowded at all. We were allowed to use the resort's kayaks (came with the room) and rented scooters directly from them at a reasonable price. Overall, the location is definitely not central and is quieter, darker in the evenings, and generally more remote, which is what we preferred. It is only a 20-minute scooter ride to the more touristy parts of the island and we didn't mind that at all.

The food was very bad, only had breakfast once. We also had the Gala Christmas dinner which also was poor. Lots of great restaurants nearby so it doesn't matter too much.

the resort is not very big，yet it has nice beach and spacious room with beautiful decoration.I love the hammock on the balcony.they also provide kayaks(I remember it was 1 hour for free everyday).LOCATION：it’s located in the southern part of lanta，which is far from the center but the beach is better.711 is just a few step away，and several restaurants nearby.btw there is a bar on the beach，they have fireshow at night.STAFF：they are all very nice and polite.we had a nice stay there.

the only thing is the choices of breakfast was too few

We really loved this place! The best thing is the space you have. The rooms are huge and ours felt already like a little flat. We also liked the bed, which was super large, too. The bay where the hotel is located is a dream. Another positive thing I would like to mention is the housekeeping. They always managed to find a time slot in a real descreet way and they were super fast. Last but not least, there is a couple of really great restaurants, cafes and spas nearby. I can recommend Sabai Spa for massage and the adjacent seafood restaurant. Also, Drunken Sailor is worth a visit at every thime of the day. Last but not least, try the authentic Indian food and Himalaya.

We stayed here in low season which was great. Maybe it can be very busy during winter and spring. The hotel is next to a very good chill bar. Despite eating and drinking there a couple of times, I would suppose it can be pretty loud until late at night. Fortunalety, our room was far enough from it so that we had a great sleep at nigth.

It’s small and quiet, even as they renovated the checkin area. The staff were friendly and helpful! Awesome breakfast selection and great location, walkable to 7Eleven and k.Himalaya.

Our room had ants, which I’m sure is typical in a tropical area. Staff had no problem spraying and cleaning as asked.

The resort is right on the beautiful beach. Large beautiful rooms and bathrooms. And an amazing terrace overlooking the sea in our room with a hammock. Plenty of restaurants around and a really great bar next door. The resort also has a great bbq on the beach every evening. It’s not cheap but worth every penny! I would have stayed much longer if I could.
