Very nice family run resort. I had called in advance from Chiang Mai because I was concerned about my late arrival, and the need for a Ferry to get to the island. I was set up with a family friend Taxi driver who met me at the airport in Krabi, and it was smooth sailing from there! Now keep in mind, this is not a corporation run resort with people in uniform and glossy brochures about "membership". It's a group of bungalows around an inground pool and on the edge of the beach. Beautiful vistas every morning! and town is a kilometer away. I also took advantage of Scuba Diving while I was here, and you are back with plenty of time for dinner. In the mornings they have a light breakfast, coffee tea, toast, and for a very small amount you can upgrade to eggs and ham. Like I said, town is very near, so that's enough to start you before your day. I also rented a scooter 1/2 kilometer up our road and got around very cheaply that way.

The air conditioner blows directly on you at night. perhaps there is a way to divert the air? I got the family bungalow which was spacious. Some things on the property are a bit run-down looking, and bulbs need changing, small stuff like that, which doesn't bother me, but might bother other people looking for the glossy-brochure feel of resorts they've stayed at in the past.

We were looking for beachfront and this is that but the tide goes way out so for a lot of the day there is no water. We had just come from long beach which is hard to beat. This was my only disappointment with this resort. Having said that, it was really fun walking the area when the tide was out. Beautiful shells, snails, crab armies and starfish. This is a family run resort and of anywhere we have stayed in Thailand they were the most attentive to the needs of their guests. They were amazing at dealing with the change we requested when we arrived. They greeted us with juice and made it possible for us to check in early. They work all day long making the resort tidy. They offer a small but nice continental breakfast in the morning for free and donte en advertise this. We received room cleaning and fresh towels daily even when we had the towels away with us for a day trip. The6 were quick and happy to respond to requests for a kettle, laundry service, early check in, plates and late check out. They seemed truly happy to have us as guests. Thank you.

As I said above Regarding the beach front

This was absolutely our favourite place of all the places we stayed in Thailand. The location is stunning, with chalets arranged around a beautiful pool that overlooks a white sandy beach. From our chalet we could look out across the pool to the gorgeous backdrop. The staff/owners were so friendly, kind and helpful, going out of their way to make our stay really enjoyable, and to help us with organising outings, laundry and transport. Our chalet was comfortable and air-conditioned, with a big fridge, kettle etc, a large bathroom, and a patio at the front. There's a restaurant onsite which serves delicious meals, and they were happy to adapt menus to my vegetarian diet. The location is perfect for exploring the island and beyond, within easy walking distance of Saladan town and pier for the ferry and for trips to nearby islands (although it's worth getting a shared truck or tuk-tuk if you arrive by ferry with luggage). But just relaxing with a bottle of Chang beer in the evening and watching the stunning sunset over the sea is also highly recommended! I've only been home for 24 hours and already I'm missing the Salatan Beach Resort - thank you for a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Salatan Resort. Our bungalow was clean and spacious with a big bed and a nice patio. It looked right out at the pool and beach. We enjoyed several meals at their restaurant. The food was always good and the beer was cold. The owners were very kind and helpful during our stay. It is about a half mile easy walk to town but there were always tuk tuks for a ride. This resort is not fancy but it is comfortable and welcoming. We would definitely recommend it for your stay and we will be back again.

They served all guests christmas dinner and when they learned our son had birthday they organized a surprise party! We were touched. Additionally, we enjoyed the swimming pool with sea view. The hotel is right next to the beach which feels private, as it's empty most of the time. If you're looking for peace and a place that feels like home - Salatan Resort is definitely a place for you.

The coziest most relaxing resort run by the kindest family. They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Yes, the rooms could use a bit of upgrading but the overall experience was so relaxing that did not bother me one bit. Pool area is excellent and I was especially a fan of the hammocks overlooking the beach. There are tons of local restaurants and bars in the area run by the kindest Thai families. If you want a super fancy luxury hotel, don't stay here. But if you're looking for a tranquil oasis on an authentic Thai island, this is it!

It was a pleasure to be there. It was a nice location in the north of Koh Lanta, it was a very quiete and peaceful place. If you want to party and have a lots of opportunities for water sport etc the north is not the best place in Koh Lanta, but if you want to have a relaxing time it’s the best spot. You have a nice view at the sea, very friendly, polite and helpful people and nice bungalows. You can go to the night market in the next street or go to some restaurants and pubs in the same street with very friendly people. I would love to come back.

This is an absolutely beautiful place, serene and restful - but only ten minutes walk to the centre of Saladan for the evening market and street food. The rooms are comfortable and kept immaculately clean, with a gorgeous view from the pool and gardens across the bay to a small island, which you can walk to at low tide. The owners are fantastic and do everything that they can to look after their guests. Unfortunately I became ill during my stay and I could not have asked for better care from them. They made me feel like family. I was so sad to leave here and will certainly be back to this little haven of perfect relaxation

Everything was fabulous

Excellent location right on the white sandy beach. The resort is run by such a nice family, who really care about their guests. Feels like home. I can not stress enough how friendly and welcoming they are.

The breakfast is really basic, so if you are looking for more than a toast and coffee/tea, just walk along the beach, 10min to the north.
