Excellent beach side resort. My 3rd stay. I got a good price from Booking and think I got good value. I had one of the rooms in the 2 buildings at the back, which I prefer. They are light and open and you are next to the large deep pool, great for swimming and rarely busy. The bungalows always look a bit cramped to me. The place is immaculate. The gardens are full of variety and well tended. Maintenance of the rooms is always good and everything works. The furniture is old hardwood that lasts and should not be replaced with any modern junk. Breakfast is the same each day, but there are so many different choices that doesn't matter. My only complaint is no shade for the plentiful sun loungers next to the back pool.

DR Lanta is on a beautiful quiet beach with some amazing bars and restaurants all within walking distance, some only next door. The food here is beautiful and a must try. The staff are super friendly and did everything we asked. After 2 days they knew our drinks order and just got them for us. Yes this property is a little dated but for what you pay, you can’t complain. It’s clean, tidy and that’s all you need when you are on such a beautiful island.

The beds are a little firm and my pillow was hard but I’m sure they would have changed it if I asked.

The resort was right on the beach and had two swimming pools, bar, restaurant and massage (I think). We had a twin room in one of the block and although the furniture was a bit dated, it was a large room with kettle, tea and coffee and the bathroom was fine. There was a terrace overlooking the second pool with 2 chairs, side table and washing stand. Breakfast was fine with a choice of western plus egg station and Thai. We ate there two evenings and it was good and reasonable. 7/11 was a short walk away as well as other restaurants and the main Road. We extended our stay to 7 days and although booking.com did not have any vacancies the hotel did. We moved to a bungalow type accommodation which was really nice.

They have two pools and there is a real lack of parasols and shade especially around the deeper pool. There are a fair amount of sun beds but not enough comfy covers for them. There was a group of people who pegged towels continuously on the sunbeds which were in the shade whether they were using them or not! The management should ensure this does not happen.

We had a bungalow for our 4 person family. Place was very clean and kids really enjoyed the pool. The sea was close and we had really good time there for 4 nights. You should book it. Staff was really helpfull.

The hotel was fully booked on hi season and the breakfast was crowded. Only thing wasn’t working was the special coffee machine that didn’t have capacity for that use. After 10-15 minutes of standing in line, I gave up the idea of having a cappuccino. This is only minus for this lovely place.

Stunning location and the staff were excellent.

The resort is family friendly (which is great if you have children) but it needs to advertise that as we would have preferred to stay somewhere that was more adult only. The breakfasts were great but due to the number of people at the buffet, staff were needed to regulate the numbers and amount of food taken and then wasted. Bathroom facilities need an update.

The location on the beach is perfect, on the busier end of the beach with many restaurants,services nearby. Very easy to have a late night out and then a short walk back.

Our room was at the far end of the hotel from the beach. Not a big deal, its not that far, but we have already booked an upgraded room at DRLanta for next year.

Location was great, directly on the beach. Size of the room was good and we had plenty towels provided (hand, shower and pool). Friendly staff was all around. Both swimming pools were great and the scooter rent was well arranged. Pier pick up for free is also provided!

We bought the NYE package but price quality was not worth it. Entertainment was really bad and it cut a bit the vibe of NYE. Could have chosen abundance of other options along the beach.

The location is amazing.. on the beach front. The beach was quiet and the water was warm. The room was very clean and the staff were outstanding. They were friendly and helpful. A new smart tv was installed while we were there. The breakfast is nice- eggs, toast, pancakes, Thai food and delicious fruit.

Really friendly staff. Lovely, quiet setting, with the pool looking over a very uncrowded beach. Beautiful place to watch sunsets. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant cooked amazing Thai food in the evening. No bar or loud music, which suits us as we come for the peace.

No complaints, everything was as expected.

The lovely front desk girl booked our four island tour for the wrong day. Most saddening as it was my only time to tour as we won’t be back. This was our holiday of our life and I didn’t get to go snorkeling. She knew we only had one change and made a mistake. So unfortunately, and maddening. The resort was lovely
