It was a great stay. Rooms are pretty clean and they are at 80 m away from the beach. Staff was super polite. The head chief arranged for us to be transferred freely from Saladan Pier when we arrived. Place is a bit noisy due to small children with family. Walls are kinda thin and you can hear your neighbiurs. Restaurant has decent prices and good food too. Rooms are not cleaned daily even if you hang up the make up room sign. Beds are pretty stiff and you may experience a sore back. Beware of mass mosquitos...they will eat you alive. Island is pretty boring otherwise, most for dull swedish tourists.

The location is fantastic with the beach being right on your doorstep and stunning sunsets every night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable enough though could have done with an extra pillow. Rooms were of a good quality for the price and honestly we didn’t want to leave.

The only downside to this place is the food really. We didn’t have a single good meal here. We tried local dishes like Pad Thai which were disappointing and even sandwiches at lunch which were very bad. Plenty of good places to eat nearby though. They also really need to invest in some nice sun loungers. The plastic chairs out the front are super uncomfortable. Shower pressure was low but understandable for the location.

We loved our stay here! The room was quite basic but comfortable and clean - the cleaning staff were super quick and left water and toilet roll outside on the days we didn’t want cleaning done. So handy as there is also a minimart, pharmacy, massage place and another small shop on site. There is also a restaurant which did a fire show and BBQ on Saturday night. The restaurant did loads of drinks and food as well which we enjoyed. The staff were super helpful, we had laundry done here which was efficient and they also dropped us off at the port when we were leaving. Couldn’t recommend the stay here enough, we stayed for 6 nights and would’ve happily stayed longer the location was great, lots of other places to eat nearby and the beach at the front was very quiet and there were sunbeds available.

Only mild complaint was that you could hear the neighbours quite clearly in our room as there was a sort of connecting door but this was only on the final night of our stay so didn’t bother us much.

Khlongdao sunset villa is a exceptional accommodation and I highly recommend it to any travellers. The staff are all friendly and the owner provides a bike rental at a great price. Rented a bike for the day and went down along the south of the island calling to all the beaches along the way and none compared to the beach right on this villas doorstep. We even had a mishap with a card getting swallowed at a atm near the property at a 7/11 and the owner rang the bank and let us use his phone to try and talk to them and get the card back. We also did laundry here and it came back smelling lovely and folded. BBQ and fire show on the beach every second night is a great bonus with happy hours all you could ask for. The sunsets here are also stunning 10/10 property wish we stayed longer than three nights

Nothing small problem with water pressure but didn’t bother us

The room was large and clean, albeit a bit bare. It was more functional than beautiful However, it had a large table I used as desk for my laptop which was unusual and great. The staff were even more friendly than usual. Motorbike rental services were excellent -- new bikes. The resort is on the beach and short beach walks away from numerous excellent alternate eating opportunities.

The laundry service was quick but failed to remove a stain I had pointed out. I was later able to remove myself with Vanish purchased from the nearby 7-Eleven.

Great little resort right on the beach. Rooms were good size and bed was comfortable. On site restaurant had good food and cheap prices and was right on the beach. BBQ dinners and entertainment most nights. Lovely hosts and staff.

I’m not sure why fly wire isn’t used on windows in Thailand as there were mosquitos in the room at night so just be mindful about keeping your door shut. Typical smell of drains occasionally wafted up through the bathroom - but that happens everywhere.

Excellent location and staff very friendly, always ready with a smile, happy to get me a coconut or refresh my room, nothing too much trouble. Tik organised a couple of tours for me and the massage centre, pharmacy and mini mart were within a 10m walk of the hotel so very convenient. The So Good restaurant had a good menu and I ate there most nights as well. It's right on the beach and sunsets with a cocktail are amazing. Also good for a long beach walk and a short walk to the main street for 7/11, cafes and the gym. There was a fire show 3 nights of the week which is mesmerising. I'd definitely stay again and hire a car next time for a few days. Great for a solo female and there was an internal lock on the door.

These are just niggles and I'd stay here again. To note: Unfortunately most guests smoked cigs or weed and it infiltrated into my room. Walls are ok but not as soundproof as needed, still heard people arguing and shagging. The bathroom bins need a good scrub out and while cocktails are cheap, suggest doing a mixollogy course as they were often too strong and not easy to drink.

Ek and his team of staff are the most charming, helpful, and friendly group of people you will meet in Ko Lanta. The staff here were so friendly and inviting every time we interacted. Ek also arranged my ferry service to the next destination on my trip. The room was great, clean, and had ice cold air conditioning. Your walk to the beach is less than one minute, regardless of what room you choose. The beach is very clean and quiet. Ideal for families and those seeking a relaxing day at the beach. Note that there is not much shade to be had on this beach. But it's sunsets are amazing. The restaurant is located directly on the beach and has a good cocktail hour and fire shows on the beach. It's very nice. Everything you need is located incredibly close. The closest ATM is at the top of the street. About a 3 minute walk away. There is also a travel and tourism service at the main desk where you can book day tours and excursions. There is also a pharmacy and a mini mart on either sides of the hotel which is a bonus. There is also a family friendly and very reasonably priced massage studio. Overall I would 11/10 stars if I could. I have nothing but great things to say about my stay and Ek and his team!

Great location, right on the beach and not far from shops like 7/11, convenient but still quite. there's a massage shop next door which gives great message, and a pharmacy and mini supermarket. The villa has a restaurant facing the beach, which had bbq, live music or fire show in the evenings during our stay. The staff were all wonderful, very attentive, helpful and open-hearted. It was the first time my parents travelled abroad and stayed on a beach. They felt very comfortable here. Although some comments mentioned basic furnishing, I actually quite like its classic wooden furniture and find them useful and home-y.

It was not a big problem, but the water was mostly cold in our shower. We didn't ask the staff to fix it in the end, because it was pretty hot weather and cold shower was bearable. I'm sure they would fix it right away had we asked.

The owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a very nice time there! The food (BBQ) was very delicious and nice as a setup. The beds were very comfortable.

AC could have been a bit more effective - it was working but often only usable on hi-speed. The fridge was old and unfortunately half frozen. If you stay longer like us (2,5 weeks) with a toddler, this can be a problem.
