Staff was awesome, and I'm not exaggerating. Wasa is a gem of a person and a great host. I wasn't expecting much from this place after some huge disappointments at other Thai hotels that were 4× more expensive than Orchid. Obviously it's not a luxury resort, but for a clean basic place to stay it is a 10 for us. 100% would stay here next time I come to Patong.

There is no elevator. That's not an issue with me, but might be a problem for some people. The street is packed with so many people walking around at night that taxi can not get to the hotel, you may have to walk down the street to a pickup point if you want a cab at night. But that was not a problem for us, we loved the energy of the area, so I don't really consider that a negative.

I was 3 nights in this Orchid Residence. My Experience was awesome. The lady in the reception was so much energetic and helpful. Don’t feel hesitate to stay here. The location is near Bangla road. You will get everything near you, like restaurant, bar, weed shop, motor bike rental shop, and many more. I will definitely choose again for their hospitality. The bed was comfortable, the room and washroom was also spacious.

The wifi speed was not better.

Balcony is small, better to say there is no balcony at all (size is less that a human foot). The parking lot is inaccessible. Hotel description advertises free car parking, but this is a big overestimation. There is a parking lot, but: 1) it is located separately in a different property, 2) it is suitable for motorbikes only, not for cars, 3) the Soi in which it is located is one-way and very narrow, attempt to go there in a car was a mistake, I just lost about an hour there. All in all, better to park the car somewhere outside, on the main street.

Good value, very helpful staff

Noisy at night. Mostly tuk tuks with very loud speakers passing by. They are simply “stupid” loud and they run all night. I don’t know how the authorities allow it. Pity because the hotel and staff were first rate.

I love Orchid Residence, and I am a repeat customer there. That said, I am a digital nomad, and my back in the morning is at the mercy of the mattress I sleep on. I do my morning stretches, but if this place would get some really firm mattresses, it would be perfect! If you don't mind soft mattresses, then it already is, cheers!

Harder mattresses would make this place perfect!

- Great staff, very friendly and helpful. - Great room, big, clean, and comfortable. - Very good food and draft beer. - Great location, easy walking to beach, Bangla Road, and Jeung Ceylon Mall.

- Many stairs to climb, but is good exercise. - Sometimes an unpleasant odor in the bathroom, I think it comes up through the bathroom drains. Maybe that can not be fixed.

Wonderful little German-run hotel on Soi Sansabai, close to the action but not right on top of it. Staff are legend, always helpful. Food is great, if a little heavy on the German fare, which for me is fine, but lots of Thai options as well.

Only gripe is that my bed was kind of lumpy, and my back is very sensitive to that. Aside from that one thing, couldn't be happier, and definitely will stay there again when I return.

Everything is beautiful and good, the food, the cleanliness, the good manners of the staff and all those in charge of this hotel. I thank them very much. This is not the first time I have booked in this hotel. I consider it my favorite hotel.❤️

Staff, food, location all excellent. Busy street and a lot going on which is what I like. Good place to chill and people watch. Great breakfast, served by happy friendly staff. Got on really well with one of the cleaning ladies who helped me out with the safe in the room.

The TV reception was a bit average.

Location is great, very close to most important sites in Patong. Staff are very friendly all the time. There is a great restaurant in ground floor. The room and bathroom are very clean and spacious. I will stay again for sure
