I have stayed here before (approx 10 years ago) and remembered the location being amazing. The food is still great and they have a lot of British dishes to choose from as a bonus. When I do eat in the restaurant, I always get the Sunday roast (roast beef and yourkshire pudding). Both visits I have rented the apartment and even though I don't spend a lot of time in the room, I like it because it just feels more of being at home than a hotel room. Since I recently retired, I did try to grab one of the regulars to speak with. Just happened the person I spoke with works at the hotel. Steve gave me a lot of good information when it comes to retiring in Thailand. This will still be my only place to stay when back in the Patong area

- The hotel staff was excellent, very friendly and very helpful. - The room was large, very clean, and comfortable. - The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and a very well equipped gym and also has a very nice restaurant and bar. - The location is excellent, easy walking distance to Banzan Market, Jeung Ceylon shopping mall, Bangla Road nightlife, and to the beach.

- Wifi was weak, and the connection at my room frequently lost internet. - This hotel does not have a lift (elevator). - The security mechanism that locks the door to the gym sometimes did not work properly and failed to open the door, even when I entered the correct password.

The hotel was next to Bangla Street, it could not be more central, if you like to be in the middle of the party. But definitely take the Deluxe room and not the Standard room. I booked the cheapest standard room and bed was so uncomfortable, room was so small, not even a wardrobe and window (which could not be opened, was out towards the street, so it was super noisy, I tried to upgrade the room, but they were fully booked, after 4 nights I went again and asked for a room change as I could barely sleep with all that noise, and they gave me and upgrade to the deluxe room, which was downstairs and much more quiet. Bed was more comfortable and there was storage space. Only downside of this room was that there was no internet connection. But I even extended 3 more nights, as I liked the second room, I worked 2 nights from the pool side, ate the thai food there, which was good. And all the stuff were really nice and spoke perfect English. I mainly booked it because of the gym, which was good, with lots of mashines, and gym day pass can be purchased extra as well, if you don't stay in the Hotel.

Noisy, standard room had uncomfortable bed and no storage space. It would be good to have a water dispenser also outside the gym to refill and avoid plastic waste. We got 2 500ml water bottles every day, which we could have instead just refilled. Also maybe do put fixed shampoo and shower gel instead of those mini one plastic bottles.

We use the Yorkshire as a base when visiting Patong. This stay we stayed for 12 nights and we were in the apartment on the top floor. The apartment has everything you need including a small kitchen area with microwave. Aircon in the bedroom and the main area is great for cooling the place down after a day out in the heat. Meal's downstairs in the main bar area are always of excellent standard and value for money. Its a great place to start the day with a full breakfast menu available all day.

Stairs! The only down side to the Yorkshire is the stairs. With no lift being available if you are on one of the upper 2 floors the stairs can be a task but don't let that put you off of staying at this great little spot right in the action of Patong.

The Location is great and front of house staff were as usual all very Good especially my favourite ladies Ghie and Anne all rooms are comfortable unfortunately there is on going building work across the road from hotel which creates some noise especially at breakfast if you are a little bit the worse for wear 😁 😁but overall a very nice and well run Hotel in the heart of the night life x

Noise from building work Opposite Hotel and also there is a new bar behind the hotel which seems to have a heavy rock band playing live every night until 4.00am i shouldthink it could be a problem if your room is on that side and you go to bed early

Staff were amazing, specifically Anne on reception and all reception staff who spoke fluent English and could resolve any query with western level expectations and a smile. Often a rare thing in thailand. She was friendly with all customers as they came and went. Also the pool staff were exceptionally friendly and spoke good english. Made the pool area a very nice place to visit and relax in. TV by pool was great, could view perfectly even at high sun. Massive screen. Was no problem bringing guests back to the room. Room cleaned daily with bedding changed, would clean whatever time I left the room.

First room I was given smelt of damp, had black mold growing on ceiling that had been painted over before. Was clearly not suitable for guest use. Notified staff and they showed me another room for me to approve and swapped me. Front restaurant and bar staff completely fine but certainly not to the level of friendlyness of the others. Bedding was used but fine for purpose. Bed was sloping on 1 side. Fine for me but not top quality.

The hotel was on the busy Bangla road but well soundproofed. The room was quite homely and British in style. We had a fridge and were able to get ice for evening drinks from the bar below. The pool area was very pleasant and shade was available. The pool was an ample size for short swims and had a shallow part and a deep part. Bar and pool bar staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a good selection of British and Thai food available. The beach was a 15 minute walk away in the morning (but took much longer in the afternoon and evening due to heavy traffic).

We wanted to self cater as my husband has a gluten intolerance but our kitchenette didn't include a stovetop. We were on the 3rd floor and there was no lift option. The road is extremely busy in the evening and was tricky to walk along.

Loved the pool and the gym facilities. The food was excellent

I landed the first day and the room I was going to get was not what I expected . I was offered a different room across from the two apartments and it was fine , but I asked if there was anything else as what I was getting was not what was in the description. The lady at the reception asked me to look at the apartment across and the is fitted what I was expecting to get. So I moved again.

Stayed here about 10 years ago for a few weeks. Only a short stay this time but the staff are great. My room was big and comfortable, pool area spotless with a huge TV screen so was able to sit in the pool and watch the Rugby League :) - a first for me. Legendary breakfast and amazing meal of rack of lamb the night before laden with crunch vegetables. Also used the Air conned - gym which seems perfectly equipped, I used a sturdy treadmill for about an hour. Wil definitely return.

A little bit of noise from nearby bars but being in the centre of the Patong nightlife this is to be expected though not intrusive.

Excellent location a few minutes from Bangla Road and about 5 minutes from the beach, handy pool and a gym at very reasonable rates and I paid less for a windowless room. The staff were friendly and happy, which is always a good sign. Good set price breakfasts as well including one for 199 baht with a tea/coffee and orange juice included.

Room layout could be a bit better - no light switch or power socket next to the bed, though the English (as well as Thai) plug was good. If they want to reduce plastic waste they could use soap/shampoo dispensers, but just small things.
