I recently stayed at "The Stay Hotel" in Pattaya for a little over a week, and overall, it was a mixed experience. While the hotel isn’t the newest, it is in good condition. The rooms were very spacious and clean, and I appreciated the well-maintained bathroom, free from any signs of mold. Housekeeping was efficient, with daily cleaning and fresh towels. A nice touch was the provision of water in glass bottles, which felt eco-friendly. The rooftop pool was a highlight—perfect for sunbathing and offering a great view. The gym, though small and a bit dated, had a couple of new cardio machines, which were sufficient for a week-long stay. The location of the hotel is another advantage, with plenty of nearby establishments and easy access to the beach and promenade.

A major downside was the Wi-Fi. The speed was incredibly slow—reminiscent of what you’d expect 20 years ago. To make matters worse, AIS had very poor reception in this part of the city, making it difficult to rely on mobile data as an alternative (especially if you need gmail, google docs, instagram). This was a significant inconvenience, especially for staying connected or working remotely.

Used the Stay for a long time over the years. Large clean room cleaned daily plus a good breakfast. Location is superb if you want to be in the heart of Pattaya. Poole area is ok but lacks atmosphere and shade may be a problem but I enjoyed an afternoon swim once the shade came over. Staff are friendly and efficient and the hotel feels well run.

Gym starting to feel old and has no AC.

Excellent location, I was happy in this hotel and although unremarkable, was modern, fresh, clean and what I would have expected at that price point. You get 2 room key cards.

Not much to dislike. The rather terrible Richard Clayderman-esque music, and that cleaner had forgotten to replenish loo roll one day. The main gripe, and its every bloody hotel, the wifi - it constantly kicks you off and you have to log back in all the time. Horrid system. They all seem to do it. I usually end up hotspotting off an unlimited SIM.

I only stopped here 1 night passing through, clean, comfortable hotel, good price, £54, didn't get the opportunity to use, but the gym was good, best I've seen all holidays, pool area good 👍🏻the location on soi 10 is very good for, halfway down beach rd, & 2nd rd, straight up soi 10 up soi Honey in middle of soi Buakhao. Near to central mall etc, good eating around as well

The staff were ok, I pre asked for early check in, they ummed a bit but came through at 1300. Staff were ok, but could do with some tool box talks in service & smiling 😊

One of the quietest Soi that is relatively close to the nightlife. A well run hotel. Everything runs like it should do, everything works like it should do. No drama about bringing guests back. You were given two cards to the room, so I could leave one in the slot to keep the air con running and the room cool for when return to the room.

Wifi would occasionally drop in the room and was non-existent on the balcony to the room. Very poor on the roof-top pool.

The staff were very helpful and friendly..very clean hotel..room spacious and kept clean.

No air conditioning in the gym

The breakfast selection was good and there is something for everyone. I found the room very clean and comfortable and had a good night sleep every night while staying at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and happy to assist with anything. I will certainly return in the future on my next trip to Pattaya and would recommend this hotel for either singles or families.

There really wasn't anything that I didn't like about the hotel.

The Stay is my always my first choice for hotels in Pattaya. The suites are large. Perfect for a long stay. The suites also have plenty of room to stretch out for a short stay. The hotel across the street is closed, so you can leave you drapes open without thinking if someone can see in. The pool is only 1.5 meters deep. Its perfect for relaxing.

I would like to have a bar pool side

The rooms were ready when we arrived, check-in was very quick & Luggage assistance was provided. Pool looked nice however didn’t get time to use it. The area is very lively with tourists & locals in the beach & the markets. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy just the standard english breakfast menu. The location was nice, close to the beach & night markets, you can get pretty much anything in walking distance.

The lighting in the room was too dull. If you open the balcony there was foul smell coming from the pool in a nearby abandoned building.

Breakfast was spread over a 3 hour period and was excellent. Staff in all areas of the hotel were helpful, polite and professional. The pool area is in need of some maintenance and it was disappointing that following covid the restaurant was only open for breakfast meal although there was an adequate snack / room service menu. Similarly the bar was only open for a short period daily. Staff numbers are down but these small points in no way affected my stay at this fine hotel.

Maintenance of the pool & gym area, (and equipment), requires some attention going forward. Other than these small points hard to find fault with any of the services provided.
