The location is great! Not only that it has a really good transportation connection with the main attractions but it is also within walking distance. We did an upgrade for the Deluxe room with a Galata tower view, and it was magnificent. The staff was very kind and friendly. They helped us arrange a taxi for the airport. The reception is open 24 hours. There is a cute cafe in the lobby of the hotel. The breakfast is in the nearby restaurant in front of the Galata tower, and the staff was really kind, there are a lot of options on the menu and the view is amazing.

The bathroom sink is in the room, near the bed, not in the toilet, that was a little bit strange, but we got used to it. It is a crowded area, and a popular tourist street, so it can be a little bit noisy during the night, but we didn't mind.

Perfect location to start Istambul experience, very close to metro or tram, 20min walking to Golden Horn. Room was cleaned every day, fresh towels, water, electric kettle,tea, coffee, enough to have quite comfort stay for 2-4 nights in the city. We chose the option with breakfast, breakfast is served in a restaurant 3 minutes from the hotel right next to the Galata tower.

All rooms with street view are very loudly, whole area, including hotel main street is alive till very late night and you have to be very tired or get earplugs to fall asleep, suggests asking for a room facing the backyard.

I had the basic room which was really nice. I had plenty of space, the bed was very comfortable, the shower good. The location of the hotel is amazing, super easy to walk to metro/bus etc + closeby nice neighborhoods. The staff was very friendly and the housekeepers aswel! I would recommend staying here!

In the room you could hear many noises from the other rooms in the hallway. This caused me to be waken in the middle of the night a couple of times because of very loud guests. When I wanted to call the reception in the night I realized that the phone was not plugged in and I was too tired to fix it. This was a bit unhandy, but nonetheless I slept very comfortable in the bed and the noise from the hallway was the only less good thing about my stay!

The room was very clean and spacious with a great view of the Galata Tower. The staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. Everything was located very nearby. The Galata Tower was only a few minutes walk. Istiklal was about 10 minutes walk. Food, clothes, gifts etc. were within walking distance. I would definitely recommend the Duo Galata Hotel.

Our first room got very warm as it was on the top floor and facing the sun for most part of the day. Therefore, the AC didn’t work as effectively. We were moved to a different room on a lower floor and that was so much better. I didn’t like the idea of the wash basin being in the bedroom. Quite quirky. The shower head was loose in both bathrooms so thankfully I had my mini multitool and was able to tighten them.

Location was great. Close to metro and Tram. Loved the night marked - prepare for a lot of walking and wonderful stores. Friendly people. Downstairs was a coffee shop and reception was helpful and looked after our bags after we checked out.

We asked for 1 room but got two, so our family was split up. Although we were only charged for 1 room to make up for the error.

I could not have asked for a more enjoyable experience staying at the Duo Galata. The location was excellent, and as a first-time solo traveller, it was a great home base, nice and central to many things, including transport if you choose to use it. However, myself, I was able to walk everywhere without any issues. Great customer service from all the staff, great coffee, cordial, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. The room was perfect, it was spotless, great shower, bed was fantastic, and upon my return from a day of exploring, the room was immaculate, soaps and towels replenished all the while my belongings where treated with respect and discretion. All of the staff were really unbelievable, from first contact to the end to housekeeping, smiles all the time. I would, however, like to give a special shout to Ahmed, who kept me caffinated throughout the day, a great professional and a lovely person! And another very special shout out to Murat, a real privilege to have met someone who cares about their job as much as he does, full of knowledge, patience, and also kept me caffinated throughout the evening while providing great conversations, making my first solo trip one to remember, he is a great credit to the company. I am already planning my next trip, and the Duo Galata will not only be my choice going forward from now on, but I will be recommending to friends and family who want to experience Istanbul. Excellent location, the hotel is 2 minutes walk to Galata tower and a walking distance to the Istiklal Street and the metro. Our breakfast was at Guney's restaurant, they served delicious breakfast with spectacular view of galata tower. Our room was comfortable and cozy. I appreciate the guy at the front desk, he gave us the room with a view of galata tower. We were very pleased with our stay at Duo Galata Hotel. We will definitely stay again in this hotel in our next trip to Istanbul.

It would be better if they put more english tv channels. Other than that, everything is perfect.

The staff was very friendly, the room was super clean and the location is unbeatable!

I didn’t give it a perfect review because it was very LOUD. My room was facing the street, which meant I could see Galata Tower (which was nice) but that also meant loud noises from the busy street until late at night. I can’t sleep with earplugs, if you can, I guess you’ll have no problem.

The location of this hotel is spectacular. The breakfast at the nearby restaurant is wonderful with really good and plenty of choices. The bed was comfortable. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly.

We didn’t like the fact that the sink was in the room and not in the bathroom and also the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly in our room. But other than that, we highly recommend.

the location of the hotel was awesome. in the heart of historical place and just a few steps away from Galata tower. the entrance seems a bit strange though, but the person sitting as the reception is a very friendly guy with a good English. we stayed there for 5 nights. our room was located in the direction of Galata tower and we could see the tower from the window which made the room so amazing. even though you are in the heart of Istanbul, it is not annoying at all if you close the windows and you can easily sleep without noticing any sound from outside. we reserved our room without Breakfast but the breakfast is served in a wonderful Cafe nearby called Guney which is just around the tower and you can enjoy wonderful breakfast in a beautiful place. I recommend this hotel to all the people loving historical area and love to be in crowded places, you will definitely enjoy it.

if you are expecting a big room or too much facilities in the room, you are selecting the wrong place. the hotel is not providing so many things in the bathroom (only soap, shampoo and showergel) and for sure towels. which was not a big deal for me but maybe it matters for others. the lift is small so make sure you are not going to fill it with too many luggages!!!
