We loved our room over looking rooftops and the Bosphorus. The views from our balcony and bedroom were beautiful. Location is fantastic. We loved the streets surrounding the hotel - really bohemian and eclectic. 5 minutes walk to Istaklal street if you prefer mainstream shopping. Turkish breakfast on the top floor was perfect. Staff were very warm, friendly and accommodating. Loved the ambiance of the hotel and the Aperol spritz’s were the best. Still had the bubbles - so many barmen get it wrong. But theirs were exactly how they should be. - bubbly and refreshing after a long day of sightseeing. Last times visiting istanbul we stayed at The Four Seasons and Kempinski. As beautiful as those hotels are - they lack the charm, the warmth and authenticity of Georges Hotel Galata.

We had a wonderful experience thanks to Georges Hotel Galata and its team. The staff was incredibly attentive and communicative, offering support with everything we needed. We were very pleased with the room's decor and cleanliness. Dining at the rooftop restaurant was a highlight, as the view of Istanbul is one of the best in the city. The food was delicious and the service was prompt. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay and highly recommend this place for its excellent service, great ambiance, and stunning views.

The Georges Hotel Galata is the one of the best hotels we have stayed in! The hotel itself is decorated elegantly with a warm feel to it. The staff are excellent and really went above and beyond. The rooms are beautiful but the main mention is the bed, it feels like sleeping on a cloud. There is a rooftop bar/restaurant which we mainly had to ourselves upon visiting, its a must see, the view is amazing and Turkish breakfast in the morning was just perfect.

The hotel has an outstanding view, maybe the best view in Istanbul We loved the rooftop restaurant very much. We had our breakfast and dinner there with Bosphorus view. For breakfast they have both French and Turkish items For dinner they have French menu which is so delicious . The rooms were clean and comfortable.The staff was helpful and kind. We stayed at this hotel couple of years ago and we would love to stay again soon

We had a wonderful week at Georges and couldn’t be happier with our choice of hotel. Everything was perfection: ideal location in a quiet, characterful street close to the iconic Galata Tower; the historic hotel building itself was beautifully renovated and very elegant, the room decor so stylish and the bed unbelievably comfortable (our room was very spacious and we loved sitting on our large balcony looking out over the rooftops); the beautiful rooftop bar with a panoramic view of the Bosphorus and excellent cocktails; the magnificent resident hotel cat Lollipop. And above all our stay was so good because the staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful and in particular gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations. It was our first visit to Istanbul and we absolutely fell in love with the city and can’t wait to return. And we would not hesitate to stay at Georges again. Next time for sure we would be tempted to book the panoramic suite on the upper floor with an incredible view over the Bosphorus which we were very surprisingly upgraded to for one night on the evening we arrived. Thank you Team Georges for a wonderful week, we miss you!

Extremely well trained, helpful, very professional and polite staff. Nicely designed interior. Best rooftop terrace for sunset drinks.

Staircase could need more light (falling hazard). Only very dim reading light and bathroom light in the room. Be aware that the bathroom is only separated by a glass wall with shutters and there are gaps. Might be an issue for not so close friends or people who want bathroom privacy. Prices for breakfast are in the upper range but acceptable regarding the professionalism of the staff.

This hotel is beyond perfect. It is the most ideal boutique hotel in the most perfect location. The rooms are large and spacious with beautiful detailing and have beautiful views of Sultanahmet especially from the rooftop restaurant and bar. Huge shout specifically to Caner and the team who provided an excellent concierge service for Hamam and restaurant recommendations. Book this hotel NOW!

Could not fault a thing. It was perfect.

Yasin and Lollypop (the cat) welcomed us like family. We really enjoyed the warm atmosphere at the hotel. The location was perfect and the views from the rooftop were great! The room felt bigger because of the high ceiling. The local bathroom amenities, Atelier Rebul, were so nice that we ended up looking for the store to buy more goodies to bring home!

The shower did not have a door so when you shower, the floor gets flooded.

Hotel Georges Galata was the perfect home base for our time in Istanbul. The location couldn’t be better — just steps from the Galata Tower and a few minute walk to the tram, which made it easy to get to the historic sites in Sultanahmet. We loved the nearby local restaurants, and the fact that we could often spot the Galata Tower from around the city made it easy to find our way back. The hotel's rooftop restaurant was a real highlight — peaceful, with an amazing view of the Bosphorus. It was the perfect spot to unwind with a nightcap after a day of exploring. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. We didn’t book a room with a balcony or Bosphorus view and kind of wish we had — our room was still comfortable, and the bed was great. The windows blocked out all outside noise, which was a nice surprise in such a lively area. The bathroom layout could have been a bit better, but everything was clean and stocked with lovely Atelier Rebul toiletries. Also, a small but memorable detail — the hotel smelled amazing! And of course, there’s Lollipop — the hotel’s beautiful resident cat. Sweet with guests but an absolute diva compared to the other local cats. Lollipop knows he/she is elite and living the good life at Hotel Georges.

One thing I missed was having breakfast included. At every other hotel we stayed at in Turkey, a traditional Turkish breakfast was part of the stay — and always a highlight. Hotel Georges does offer breakfast on its beautiful rooftop, but it’s at an additional cost, which felt like a missed opportunity given the setting. Also worth mentioning: the in-room coffee pods were not complimentary and were part of the mini bar charges — a small detail, but a bit unexpected. Also it was not possible to read in the room due to the lighting, the stairwells were dark as well.

Lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Had great room with balcony overlooking the Bosporous. Very comfy bed . A rooftop restaurant has amazing views and good European food . Very friendly and helpful staff.
