The rooms are quite clean and the location is great.The staff was very helpful and friendly.

It seems like the hotel is quite unorganized sometimes.We had water outage twice, which happens, it's ok, but I would appreciate if we had a heads up for managing our needs and time.Also you have to make sure that you put the label on the door in order for your room to be cleaned.We read this on the flyer on the fifth day of our staying.Till then at one room of our reservation nobody came to refill toiletries, empty the bin or change the towels.Lastly, we booked a three bed room but it was a double with a portable bed, which made moving around the room very hard.It's a pity because it is not a bad choice for your staying in Istanbul, in total.

Great location right in the central Galata area close to all main attractions. Spacious room with outdoor terrace.

No breakfast option. Room not cleaned every day. Can’t flush paper waste in toilet. Have to put in a bin. Some communication problems for English speaking guests. Had mix up with private car booking for airport transfer. Came wrong day then failed to turn up on the correct day. Nearly missed flight as had to catch taxi after delays. Hotel was apologetic and paid for taxi but this problem should not happen. Would still give hotel a high rating overall but if you use their transport services make sure you have repeatedly confirmed details.

We absolutely loved the location of this hotel. The room is cosy, well-heated, and comfortable. The hosts were very nice; they tried to accommodate to all our requests, helped us book an airport taxi, and offered luggage storage when we arrived early. Also, the wifi was fast and reliable.

The room was slightly smaller than it seemed in the pictures. The housekeeping was arranging the room every day, but they were not doing full cleaning. The receptionist was not always there, and they took some time to reply to WhatsApp messages. The water pressure was not the best.

Large room, with light coming in from 6 (corner) windows. Stylish and functional furniture. With a little sofa, table and bathroom accessories. Kettle with tea and coffee and bottles of water as a welcome kit. The position is - with no doubts - a strong point of its: it's in an alley that guarantees silence, but at the same time a stone's throw away the Galata Tower and İstiklal Caddesi. Moreover, there's a metro station in 3 minutes walking. The reception was "hidden" in a room and not always manned, but they were available when needed. The cleaning of the room was excellent upon arrival (apparently it was not done periodically during the stay, except on the day before the leaving).

Breakfast is not available. Reception was not available for check-out on Sunday. The bathroom was nice, but a bit little in size. Moreover, there was no hand shower in the shower. In general, little details that do not impact the final judgement.

The location was great, just 3 minutes away from the Galata Tower and the streets are quiet at night (we visited over New Year's Eve). The room was really clean and comfortable, and the staff was really helpful!

Some things in the room could have used a little repairs (like cupboard) but it's really minor, we loved our stay there!

Great location and value for money. When staff were available they were friendly and efficient.

Lift was out of order part of the time I was there. To get in the front door there are several steep steps which are hard to navigate with a heavy suitcase, although this is also part of the character of the building. Definitely not wheelchair accessible. Reception not open 24 hours, which meant there was nobody there at 10am when I wanted to check out and store my bag for the day.

We arrived to Istanbul late in the evening and we didn't actually get to the Galata Door Hotel until midnight, but the staff was still awake and very helpful in checking us in. He even took our bags up in the elevator for us. When we walked in, the room was extremely clean and comfortable, stocked with everything we needed for our 2 night stay: bottles of water, an electric kettle, coffee and teas, slippers, fresh towels, soaps, and lots of windows. The bed was comfy so we fell right to sleep. Waking up to all the natural sunlight was perfect. We opened some windows, made coffee, showered and went downstairs to a yummy little cafe called Süheyla. From there we walked EVERYWHERE, even to the Grand Bazaar. We didn’t need to take public transit or a taxi once. The location is perfect if you want to shop like locals or get the best deals on Turkish towels and the like. Also, there are so many cute cats in the area, so you will definitely get your fill of furry, feline friends! The staff of the hotel were nice and helpful. They took care of our needs and even booked a taxi for us leaving the next day early in the morning (which was really convenient). Just make sure you have at least 400TL in cash. Overall, the hotel is cute and boutiquey, located in the heart of the modern Beyoğlu district in Istanbul. It’s a lively neighborhood with lots to take in. It’s very walkable to great food and the best shopping we experienced in our 2 weeks in Turkey. I highly recommend it!

Because the hotel is located in a lively area, you may be up all night if you're a light sleeper. Sounds bounce around between the buildings, so lots of echoes. We're from New York City, so it wasn't an issue for us, but be aware if you need complete silence to have a good nights sleep. Or bring ear plugs.

Location is excellent, close to Galata tower, pubs, Galata Bridge The staff was excellent, helped us with everything, even organized transfer for us The room was clean and spacious enough. The hotel is positioned in the heart of that area, close to everything 🥰

Some shortages regarding service. Forget to replace warer in the room , towels . But all was sort out

The hotel has a great location, very close to Istikal and Taksim. The neighborhood has an authentic feel and is very lively. There are lot of nice restaurants and coffee shops around. The staff are nice and helpful. Fresh towels are provided daily and the room is made up everyday.

The street is more or less quiet but the hotel is not soundproof, so for light sleepers this means you will hear outside noise easily. Staff sometimes are not available, specially at night. So you might not find help if needed (for example the safe was not opening and we had to wait until the morning to open it). There was an issue with water in the neighborhood that was not resolved until next day, would have been nice to offer a discount or a simple apology :)
