Very well located; the staff were very friendly and helpful - they were happy to help with booking trips and offered us free coffees; beautiful hotel. We stayed in the two bedroom suite on the top floor with a big balcony over the street. Very large with comfortable beds and a stunning balcony.

Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The mosque next door does a rather loud call for prayer at 4.30am. Either a charming authentic experience or a painful way to wake up depending on your inclination. ;-)

This hotel was such a great find. The kindest staff, affordable rates, right on the main street of Galata Tower. I came for work and was able to work in their lovely downstairs sitting room.

My only complaint was that they left the windows open in the sitting room to air out the smoke, so that when you come down to have coffee in the morning the sitting room is freezing. Also, my room was on the main street so if I wanted to leave my window open it would be so loud until early in the morning. That said, the windows are super thick, so if you close the windows it is calm and quiet.

The stay was great! The location is fantastic, close to the Galata tower and near Istiklal street, lots of food options nearby. There’s a cafe downstairs which has the best San Sebastián cheesecake (better than the more “famous” ones nearby. Being an old building, rooms with a street view are a little noisier at night, but nothing too crazy and no disturbed sleep. But really what made this place exceptional was the staff. Murat was always very helpful and Ismail went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Ismail’s recommendations were excellent, his advice and help on how to get around was invaluable. There was no request that was too much and the kindness and generosity was unparalleled.

The location of the hotel is great, Galata Tower is only 5 min away, Hagia Sofia is 45 min. The area is full of cafes, small souvenir shops, and restaurants with delicious local food. The staff was really nice and helpful, thanks to Ismael and other managers. The hotel is small and cozy, and the cafe on the first floor is really nice. We had water, fruit and tea inside the room, which was nice.

Our Delux room did not satisfy any of our needs and requests - no sound isolation, tiny bathroom, no fresh air because noises and cigarette smoke were coming from the garden area and we could not open the window, no view at all. The price we paid for this room did not match the comfort level we received, that is why I would recommend this hotel only in case you choose a bigger room with a view or balcony, or pay a very reasonable price.

The staff was exceptional (Murat and Ismail), and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Super helpful and friendly. There’s a cafe attached to it, which was very handy (there’s also a resident cat, so cute!) Very close to the Galata tower (that also means steep streets and inclines, but so is a big part of the city). Note that it’s located in a Main Street, with lots of cafes, restaurants, shops and souvenirs shops, so very busy, but felt safe because of all the movement.

Everything was great, but there was no elevator as it’s a historical property. We were on the top floor (4th), and that wasn’t really an issue for us, but I’d say ask for a room in lower floors if it’s a big deal to you.

Great location, close to the Galata tower and the vibrant tourism area there (views from some rooms, including our balacony). Easy tram ride (or ~30min walk) to the historic centre. Very easy to see all of the city. Rooms are clean and beautiful and very comfortable, though they look a bit bigger in the pictures. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They really went out of their way to let us rest and shower in a spare room AFTER we checked out because we had a really late flight. This was above and beyond and massively appreciated. While they don't have a restaurant, they have a lovely cafe (open to the public) that has both a private quiet section and a vibrant street side section that makes you feel like you're safe but in the heart of the city.

The rooms are a little smaller than they look in the pictures. Just beware that the hotel's recommended tour guide, while really excellent, was very expensive and the advertisement a bit misleading. We expected (as it had been in other Turkish cities we visited) that the tickets to attractions would be included in the tour guide's very high price, but they were not - we wouldn't taken the tour guide (because of our budget) had we known this. We felt the way the tour was described misleadingly as we had asked the best way to get low cost fast pass tickets, and we were recommended a tour guide to solve this yet ended up paying double what we would have done alone. The tour guide really only would have been worth it had the tickets of the venues been included.

The people/staff, especially Murat made us feel like family., the proximity to all the sites, the views and the comfort of the rooms. The coffee shop below was a bonus.

It is quite loud. There was a screaming child next to our room that literally screamed from 10pm until 3am every night - sounded like it was being murdered. There is street noise, but that is expected in this part of town. The harmonica player that played every night from midnight until 2am, we could have done without as the same car alarm that went off for 3 minute 4-5 times every night. Be warned there is no elevator. Finally - a small thing in our beautiful room. The sink faucet needs to be replaced. It’s unusable. It sprays water all over the bathroom, your clothes, the mirrors - just fix this.

The World House Boutique is a shining examplar of what a boutique hotel should be. The rooms and overall decor are full of character—the kind that sets boutique hotels apart from the more generic chain options we all know. The staff were excellent throughout our stay, going out of their way to arrange taxis, make reservations, and recommend great spots for a quick bite. More than that, they took the time to connect with guests and build genuine rapport—a rare and much-appreciated quality. The hotel’s coffee shop was a lovely bonus. As guests, we enjoyed a discount as well as several complimentary drinks. Sitting out front with a coffee, simply watching the world go by, made for a relaxing and memorable part of our stay. The location is ideal. The iconic Galata Tower is just a short stroll away and was even visible from the balcony of our room. Within walking distance, you’ll find a wealth of restaurants, bars, and shops. The T1 tram, which provides easy access to major attractions like the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace, is also close by. Overall, the hotel added so much to the experience of being on vacation. As someone who frequently stays in chain hotels for business, this friendly, welcoming, and characterful place—complete with a charming café and an outstanding team—was a truly refreshing change.

Galata tower and the surrounding area are by design at the top of a hill. As a result a lot of places you walk to will involve a descent or a climb. This did not bother me, and it is not the hotels fault. Just something that you should take into account if less physically able. Also booking make you fill out something you didn't like in the review, and I struggled to think of anything to put beyond this.

Amazing stay! Great service! Super welcoming staff! My two teenage kids and I plus my brother's family with two younger kids are really enjoyed staying at this place. Our rooms were just like they are on the pictures. Tastefully decorated, spacious, and clean. Comfortable beds, quality linens and light blocking curtains allowed us to sleep well. Free bottled water was a wonderful refreshment, much needed after returning from a walk on hot days. Very well air conditioning in every room cannot be underestimated as well! Lots of clean towels and well functioning shower were important to have. Sound insulation was great in every room. We never heard any noise coming from next rooms or hallway. Wi-Fi worked good all time. And the most important element of our positive experience at World House Hotel was it's wonderful staff. Always available, always ready to help. Do not hesitate asking Murad for his advice and recommendation on directions, dining options, taxi service. I am personally very grateful for having guidance from Murad, and hope to have a chance to visit this place again.

I liked everything. Just want to make a note for a very sound sensitive people as I am myself. I often sleep (in almost every hotel) with my air pods with sound protection function on. I realty don't think it will affect the stay for 99% of people, but for that1% it might. There is some noise coming from the street in the room with the balcony door that you might hear at the night time. However, my brother who stayed at the room with windows didn't hear any noise. All windows are double glazed.

My family and I had a wonderful short stay, made even better by the care and attention offered by the hotel assistant manager Murat. We felt taken care of before arriving, with helpful messages offering assistance. My room set up requests were followed and we were allowed early check in and late check in out which does translate to good value for money. The location is great for people watching, with lots of shops and restaurants on the doorstep, including a popular in house cafe. The hotel is on a hill but there are lots of taxi’s outside for anyone that might have mobility concerns. We are really happy with our choice and would definitely recommend to our friends and family. The hotel service was outstanding.

The uphill walk can be a little bit difficult but there are easy workaround so no big deal. It was worth the uphill walks.
