Everything. It is a small hotel but it has everything you need. The rooms were clean, comfortable and very quiet. The personnel were very friendly and always ready to help us. Special thanks to Ali who was very supportive during our stay. The terrace for breakfast had beautiful views to the city and the breakfast was very good with some different choices every day. The location was good. It is one street behind the Galata Tower, the street as such was very dirty but it is so close to Galata Tower that it evens out. We feel the price was good for the hotel.

The hotel staff Sevval is very gentle, helpful. Breakfast was tasty and rich of delishes cookies, fruits, vegetables, cheese, omlet, tasty coffee.. The room is big and comfortable. The cleaning is very very good and every day! Every day they bring 2 bottles of water.

It's not about the hotel, but the street is very very dirty, next to hotel is garbage from all area, and in the night the car come to take it off, what make so much noise.

Location near Galata tower so all attractions were max 20. Min transit. Safe and lively area so we didn't have any trouble returning late at night. Professional staff and great service. Nice breakfast with beautiful roof terrace. Plenty of food if you come early or late. Room was clean, and staff replaced towels and cleaned the floor every day. Street was quite at night, no loud traffic. Rooms are soundproof. Really nice room design and quality materials. Also, there is market near hotel that works deep in the night.

Street is dirty at night and in the morning. At the day, streets are filled with vans and trucks from local businesses so its really hard to get to hotel from any side other than from Galata tower directly. I know that this is not in hotel control, but in carelessness of locals. This isn't a problem at all if you access the street directly from the Galata Tower.

We stayed at the hotel for a week during our vacation. The staff was very friendly and helped us a lot with sightseeing and planning our routes. They gave us valuable advice and arranged a very well-organized transfer. The breakfast was varied and served at a very convenient time — perfect for both early risers and those who like to sleep in. It was especially nice to stay near the Galata Tower and still enjoy peace and quiet. You’re right in the heart of everything, yet your room remains quiet and calm. Our room was clean and cozy. If you’re coming to truly explore Istanbul and not just lie in front of the TV, this hotel is definitely a 5 out of 5.

I had a great stay near Galata tower. It was very central and lively area. The hotel and staff was great. Very kind and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast on the roof, it was a nice view. As it was my birthday on one of the days there, they gave me a delicious chocolate cake with some nuts and sweets. It was very thoughtful! I had gotten an upgrade because of some issue in the app, it was a family room, definitely too big for me but it was well kept and cleaning staff kept it clean when I wasn't around. In general it was a great hotel and area to stay and I highly recommend it!

Only thing I didn't like would be the walk up to the are as Galata/Beyoglu area is very up hill with old roads. So public transport doesn't get there easily. But taxis were able to arrive there so it was nice.

The location is perfect, the staff is friendly, breakfast with the view on Old istanbul, rooms are very clean and confortable.

Only the street. It should be cleaner because it is the first impression of a traveler.

This hotel is super convenient, located less than a minute's walk from the Galata Tower, but what's even better is that the street it's on is really quiet and calm. The breakfast here is amazing, with a fantastic spread that caters to everyone's preferences, including freshly made local specialties like borek, gozleme, and menemen. You'll enjoy your meal on the top floor, where the breakfast room offers breathtaking views of the Golden Horn, stretching from Sultanahmet to Fener and encompassing both bridges. Our room was a good size, very clean, and well-maintained. Housekeeping serviced it daily, providing fresh towels and linens. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place!

The windows don't open, but the room is equipped with air conditioning.

La Porta is located right next to the Galata tower, and it's easy to get around Istanbul from there. Karaköy pier, tram stations, metro etc. were just a short walk away. Staff were super friendly and brought us some free snacks with a hand-written note. Breakfast was great too, it's on the top floor with a view, and there's something to eat for everyone. While it's not a luxury hotel and the rooms are quite small, I feel like it's great value for money. Good for people like us who mostly just sleep there and spend their days wandering around Istanbul.

The hotel alley is quite dirty and filled with trash. The room was hot, so we had to sleep with the window open. Some nights, there was a lot of noise coming from garbage trucks and cats fighting. Bathroom had a bad smell at times.

Great location, next to the Galata Tower! The rooms are a bit smaller than expexted but still comfortable. The rooms are being cleaned daily and the staff is so thoughtful, they even left a welcome treat in our room with a personalized message. The breakfast doesn't include a great variety but it is still enough to get you started for the day, considering the price! Thank you for the comfortable stay!

The street is right behind the Galata Tower where most of the shops leave their rubbish late at night for the rubbish truck to pick up. Well it wasn't a problem for us as the hotel is great value for money but maybe it's something you should keep in mind.
