The staff were amazing. Helpful, kind, always going out of their way to make sure you were comfortable and well taken care of. The property is safe and secure. They surprised us with an upgrade. They surprised us with little treats in our room. They were amazing— for breakfast, Hakan was especially welcoming and kind. Always put a smile on our faces. Of course the location is super. You are near the Galata tower but on a quieter side street. There are mini shops, restaurants, and bars on the very active street nearby. It is only a short walk away from the old town. The hills may be challenging for some.

The property itself was spotless and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches like turn-down service and little treats that made our stay feel special. Breakfast each morning was outstanding, and the hospitality we received was among the best we've ever experienced. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless. The Ecole St. Pierre Hotel is an exceptional hotel with first-class service. I have stayed at many luxury hotels around the world and can rank the St. Pierre among my favorite stays. After a warm welcome at reception, I was shown my room and told that I had been upgraded to their Terrace Suite with a big balcony and a stunning view of Galata Tower. I was especially shocked at this unexpected treat as I had booked my room with a discount on Booking. Thanks to the team, I have great memories of enjoying the beautiful view of the tower during the day with an iced coffee and later in the evening with some baklava. The room itself was stylish, comfortable, and beautiful. I noticed that the cleaning staff were top-notch in their attention to details and also provided many complimentary water refills, which I appreciated on this hot weekend. I was concerned that the location of the hotel so close to Galata Tower might prove overly crowded, but it instead offered a calm oasis while also being in a central location. Enjoying the delicious turkish breakfast in the courtyard was another highlight. The food was delicious and the waitstaff very kind, especially Göksu. The tiramisu provided as a welcome gift in the room also deserves a mention as it was super tasty. The staff was super competent and friendly all around. It was almost hard to leave the hotel to explore Istanbul. I hope to return soon!

As I am a light sleeper, I was prepared for some noise from the street which was occasional and easily solved with earplugs / AirPods. I also recommended to the hotel staff that some additional room-darkening would be beneficial since light comes in the top of the curtains from the lit courtyard. This was also easily solveable with an eyemask, but would be even better with some additional curtain or shutters.

This is such a rare gem in Istanbul. The place is small yet comfortable and perfect for our stay. We have been in a few hotels in Istanbul and none can compare to this hotel. The location of the hotel is right next to Galata Tower which is perfect to beat the crowds to access great views and photo shots early morning/ late evening. The staffs and their services were excellent to the next level. They were friendly, extremely attentive to details and put their best effort to make your stay comfortable. Their hospitality deserves a huge compliment and appreciation and that was the best part of staying at Ecole St. Pierre hotel.

Nothing we did not like about this property. It is a perfect hidden gem hotel in Istanbul. Just a note that the hotel is on a slope up to Galata Tower so if you plan to walk, you will have a small climb to reach the hotel. The walk is although very pleasant with small local shops/ boutiques that you can stop by along the way.

Our stay at Ecole St Pierre was exceptional. Not only is the hotel beautiful, historic and perfectly-located, but, more importantly, the team is lovely and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is memorable. The breakfast was good for a short stay though it would benefit from a bit more variety—especially for vegetarians and when it comes to pastries (both continental and Turkish). The Italian restaurant within the hotel is good, but slightly overpriced even with a guest discount.

Lovely property with amazing stuff. Hassan and his team in the restaurant/kitchen did everything possible to make our stay memorable. The team at the front desk/reception was extremely helpful and ensured to celebrate my birthday with a number of surprises. Thank you!

We have stayed in Istanbul before but never in this area - what a find! The hotel is boutique it’s beautiful with a fantastic restaurant, food & service absolutely faultless. The hotel is in a great location, The reception staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for them - they go above and beyond in order to assist you. We had lovely treats left in our room each day. we would stay here again, thank you! When we left I promised the staff that I would try to spread the word about this 17 room, historical boutique hotel in one of the prime locations in the city. In many years of travel I have learned that how the hotel staff treat guests, even drop in’s requiring assistance, is the best reflection on the entire hotel. I thank the entire staff for assisting us in a time of need and their concern, kindness and generosity is why I strongly recommend this hotel to others and gave it an exceptional rating. This boutique hotel is a true hidden gem—an absolute must-stay when visiting Istanbul! It ranks above even the most well-known five-star hotels I’ve experienced in all my years of traveling the world. The included Turkish breakfast was outstanding—so flavorful and abundant we wished we had more room just to keep enjoying it! Hakan is a phenomenal host: warm, attentive, and always one step ahead, often offering Turkish tea or coffee at the end of each meal. My mom and I felt incredibly safe and genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The front desk team was exceptionally welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with coffee, a beautifully crafted cocktail waiting in our room, a commemorative book, and handwritten notes from the staff—such a thoughtful, personal welcome. To top it off, we were upgraded from a room to a suite! The location couldn’t be better—just a two-minute walk from Galata Tower, in a safe, vibrant neighborhood. I had reached out in advance for recommendations, and they responded quickly with thoughtful, curated suggestions. As we continue our journey around Turkey, we honestly miss the concierge and front desk team at Ecole St. Pierre. There’s something truly special about coming back to a place where the people remember your name, your preferences, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. It was better than any luxury chain—elegant, warm, and unforgettable.

To be honest everything, location, walking to all main spots fast, large rooms with modern bathrooms and easy going informative staff. My wife and mother in law were most pleased. Happy wife = happy life. Its rare to find a hotel where it just works and gives you a base that blends into your stay without noticing it. Very comfortable, stylish and great staff. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you.

Only one thing. This is personal taste... Cold mineral water.... our mini fridge was making things warm. However one night we were given a bucket of ice and two mineral bottles on the house... good hotel even in the details. Top response to the issue the front desk should be commended.

Beautiful hotel! Everything is perfect. Perfect location, in the middle of the city but in the same time on a more quiet street. We walked to all the major highlights of the city. Perfect breakfast, a combination of a turkish breakfast with homemade granola and fresh fruit. Perfect, clean and wellmaintained room. But the most perfect about Ecole St Pierre is the staff of the hotel: extremely friendly, a lot of personal attention, they took care of everything and more. They made us feel more than welcome!
