The rooms are very nice and freshly decorated with comfortable beds. The location is perfect for first time visitors, just a 3 minute walk from the galata tower and in a quiet street. The service is on overall very good, with friendly and helpful staff. Also great to have access to a pool and saunas after some sightseeing!

Their transport service is overpriced. Airport transfer trough booking.com (big car for 6-8 people) or yellow taxis cost about 25-35 euros while the hotel charges 75. We also asked for a car to take us for a 25 minute drive in the city. They wanted to charge 40 euro, so we took a regular taxi instead which ended up costing 12 euro.

They were many great aspects: - The room and bed especially were good and comfortable. - The Spa was really great, with great personnel. - Everyone is extremely kind at the hotel and ready to help and support you if needed. - The view from the breakfast / restaurant is absolutely stunning.

A few points could be improved as well: - The breakfast was not great I must say with some products (bread) that weren’t that fresh. - Although the spa was really nice, the pool was quite cold - Although the location is quite nice, as you are in the middle of many important points, (Taksim, Galata Tower, Ortakoy, etc. All within 10 mn walk) you still have to walk all of this as there are no food options at your doorstep as the street you are on is full of light stores.

We stayed here briefly the night before leaving, so I can't comment on the pool etc, but the hotel was fantastic, the staf were very helpful, helped with bags, recommendations etc. Room was clean and comfy, strong aircon which was needed. The location was also great, just a short walk up to Galata Tower and all the nearby cafes etc, and short walk down towards the waterfront for getting ferries across to Sultanahmet. Breakfast was also good - we found that across hotels in Istanbul they serve a buffet-style which mixes Turkish breakfast with random western foods (like chocolate cake!) but all-round tasty and the views from the rooftop restaurant are spectacular. I also liked that late at night there's always someone at the front desk, which feels safe if you're coming back late.

Hotel is on a hill which could be an issue if you have lots of bags, we got a taxi so wasn't an issue. One of the lights in our bathroom was broken but it didn't affect anything.

Rooms were so comfortable and clean, very nice amenities. The staff were all wonderful and helpful. Great location - close to Galata Tower, easy walk to other neighborhoods and public transit. Would stay here again.

For some reason there are giant red banners hanging on the side of the hotel. This covered half of our window. In addition to blocking the view, it also blocked the light. However, this was really an issue our last night- there was a storm and the wind caused the banner to beat against our window all night. It was like trying to sleep inside of a beating drum. Highly recommend you request a room without a banner covering the window.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Hotels, Galata in Istanbul, Turkey! This hotel not only has a perfect location and great facilities — being close to all the historic sites and entertainment — but also an absolutely outstanding team of people who made our stay truly unforgettable. My wife who's an artist was super excited and used that opportunity to draw the city and sea view. Emin showed incredible care and kindness when my wife wasn’t feeling well — brewing her a soothing tea and making sure she felt comfortable. Eren was always in touch with us, helping to manage every single request we had — literally 24/7! He told me I can contact him any time we needed, which was super nice and kind. Emre helped us move our luggage in the middle of the night without a single complaint, brought us extra tea whenever we needed it, and even arranged a great discount for our airport transfer upon checkout. The most energetic and ready to help guy - truly impressive. Hatice, the lovely housekeeping lady, who was patient, kind, and attentive — especially when assisting my pregnant wife. Sumeyye Beyza, always provided perfect service and prepared our beverages with such attention and care. She made every breakfast and evening feel cozy and welcoming. Sinanguided us through all the spa options, explained everything clearly, and helped us organize an amazing spa experience. Ugur assisted us on several occasions — helping with luggage, sharing advice on nearby restaurants, and always offering a friendly word when we passed by the lobby. We were genuinely impressed by the incredible atmosphere the staff created — always positive, friendly, and full of genuine care. It felt like every person we met was sincerely happy to help us

We did experience a minor issue during our stay — in the middle of the night, an unexpected drain smell appeared in our room, which made it difficult for us to sleep properly. However, Eren and Emre reacted immediately and arranged a room switch for us within seconds. Absolutely AWESOME !

At first, I was unsure, the hotel entrance goes through a wholesale lighting market, which felt odd and gave a business hotel vibe. But once inside, the beautiful room, stunning Bosphorus views, and warm atmosphere changed everything. Stepping out, I was amazed to find Galata Tower just steps away, surrounded by endless cafes, restaurants and shops. The location is unbeatable! The pool area is cosy and luxurious, with a sauna, steam room, and hammam. Breakfast on the top floor comes with unforgettable views. Staff were friendly and helpful. A truly magical stay that far exceeded my expectations.

The entrance through a wholesale market can be misleading and doesn’t reflect the hotel’s charm. Breakfast could offer more variety, and a rooftop cafe or evening lounge would elevate the experience

Our stay at *The Hotels Galata* was absolutely perfect! The hotel stands out due to its **central location**, making it the ideal base to explore the most beautiful parts of the city. Everything is easily accessible, yet the hotel offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The **exceptional cleanliness** of the entire property is particularly worth mentioning. The rooms and common areas were always spotless, which made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. Another highlight is the **friendly and helpful staff**, who were always smiling and ready to assist with any request or question. We’d especially like to thank **Hotel Manager Emrah Bey** for his warm hospitality. A big thank you also goes to the **head chef on the terrace on the 11th floor**! The breakfast and the view were simply stunning – there’s no better way to start the day. We felt completely at home and are certain about one thing: **We will definitely come back!** Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

We loved the staff and the location. It is close to Galata Tower and Istiklal which is great if it’s your first time. It’s also easy to get to Hagia Sophia and other places by tram. The room was small but everything worked great, it was clean and the view was great. Arihan (I hope I’m spelling it right) was especially helpful.

I didn’t like how even though breakfast was advertised as included, there are still some items which they charge you for. Their coffee was really bad, but if you want Turkish coffee they’ll charge you. Also there was not much variety with their breakfast.

We have just returned to Scotland following a six day stay at THE HOTEL Galata. All the staff treated us like family, they were so friendly and anxious to help. The value for money was excellent especially as Turkey has become an extremely expensive place. Both the manager and the guest relations lady offered a service that in our many years of travel, we have never previously experienced. The fact that this hotel also offers included breakfast is a massive bonus and the view over the river from the roof top restaurant is wonderful making an excellent start to the day. The spa and swimming pool are a huge bonus for a hotel at their prices and we both enjoyed massages from the resident masseurs. We thoroughly recommend this Hotel to any traveller

We are struggling to find fault with THE HOTEL Galata but if they were to add kitchen facilities and provide evening meals that would be a further bonus.

What I really appreciated about The Hotels Galata was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. They were always ready to help with anything I needed. I'm especially grateful to Gökhan, who went out of his way to assist me—he even guided me to the mall and showed me where the Galata Tower is, which is just a short walk from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to any first-time visitor or solo traveler. It's a safe place to stay, and the people there make you feel truly welcome.

At first the aircon was centrally controlled but they fixed that for me and I was able to control the aircon in my room.
