I have been to istanbul before and have stayed in sultan Ahmet side, which is a great location to move around. This was the 1st time we chose Euro Design & to my surprise, the metro station was to the left of the hotel literally at our doorstep. From our location it was better accessible to the Food Street, which was literally 20 sec from the hotel.. The food Street had some famous resturants Eg...Shahzade (for lamb skewers), a pede shop & the whole lane is full of resturants, offering a wide selection of tasty Turkish foods. A couple of minutes walk, and we had the tram station Serkeci. From there one can see the bosforus and a few minutes walk would take us to Eminönü ferry station, which either one can take ferry for the tour of the Bosphorus or go to the Asian side, or roam around or sit and enjoy the hussle and bussle around the ferry port. There are numerous of resturants around the port that one can go to, but we went to the ones that were tested and had good reviews. From Eminönü we walked to the Galata Tower, with a steep uphill climb to the tower base.. which had loads of cafes & not to forget, the best san sabestian chocolate cheese cake (to die for) with refreshing lemonades and my favourite the affagato coffee. From Sirkeci tram station one could go to sultan ahmet (2 stops) with the square having the famous hagia sophia mosque and further 2 stations from there, one could visit the famous Grand Bazar @Byazet station. To be accessible one needs to choose the right location and Euro Design was located at the right spot, which saved us time, effort & to be near all the locations we wanted to visit. I highly recommend it for its location, value for money, hospitable staff and manager as well as Mr Nurettin who was friendly and assisted us with directions. I thank everyone who played their part in making our stay a pleasant and a memorable one. Would definitely give a 5* and would highly recommend.

No 3 pin (U.K.) Plug socket and only one socket at bedside .. need to have more so one can plug chargers in.... Also need muslim shower in the toilet.... One has to carry the 2 pin converter as 2 pin plugs are standard in hotels in Turkey

I had read many (almost all) the reviews on booking.com about Euro Design Hotel and we were a bit apprehensive. Some people complained about noise between rooms, some complained about the rooms not having proper bed linen and lots complained about the breakfast. But I'm here to BUST the myths. Firstly: The staff are exceptional. They genuinely go out of their way to assist you with regard to any and everything. I have to mention Bekir (even managed to order us fresh gözleme to our room and always assisted us in a helpful and friendly manner), Mert, Engin and Yusuf. Always greeted us with smiles (even if we passed by the reception desk 5 times a day) , always paid attention to our children and were never irritated with our many questions. Yusuf always their to lend a helping hand and another gentleman whose name I cannot remember as well. I emailed the hotel a few days before to let them know we were arriving on my husband's birthday and asked if they could do something special. They decked out our room with flowers and balloons, the next morning at breakfast the chef personally came to our table with a beautiful fruit Platter to wish my husband a happy birthday. We really really appreciate the service and attention to detail. I cannot forget to mention Fatima Abla and Saaniya Abla, the 2 ladies who helped keep our room clean during the duration of our stay. They always knocked and waited for a response before entering the room and they always greeted with a pleasant smile and attitude (even the days I requested a a few more minutes before they began cleaning they never got annoyed). Secondly; With regards to the room- we stayed on level 5 in room 505 which is the deluxe family room. We were 2 adults and 3 kids (18 months, 6 and 8 Years old). The room was big enough for all of us and they even brought a cot for my infant. We could not hear noise from the rooms around us.

I wish the pillows and beds were a bit more comfortable. I also wish the shower door closed properly so water didn't leak out the door when showering.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The location is ideal, very close to shops and public transport, making it extremely convenient to get around. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff are welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. You truly feel well looked after from the moment you arrive.

Areas for improvement: The room is spacious and comfortable, but it would be even better with a small desk and a side table. These additions wouldn’t take up much space, yet they would add a lot of practicality and comfort for guests. The breakfast could benefit from a bit more variety to suit different tastes. Additionally, the photos of the breakfast in the listing don’t quite match the reality, which can lead to slight disappointment upon arrival.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent – very central and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, places of interest, as well as the tram stop and ferry port, which makes exploring the city very easy. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious with a good of variety. Service throughout our stay was excellent. A special mention goes to Irfan at the reception – he is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. He gave us great recommendations on places to visit, restaurants to dine at, and the best transport options to get around. Thanks to his assistance, our stay was even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a fantastic hotel in a perfect location, and we would definitely recommend it.

Location is perfect, especially if you need the Marmaray Sirkeci station, which is literally next door. I really enjoyed the quality of the bathroom goods and toiletries. To me, that's a hallmark of a good quality hotel. The front desk staff was also impeccable - very helpful and efficient at key moments (check-in and check-out), not intrusive at any other time.

The breakfast was the only thing I could mention in this area. Don't get me wrong, I love Turkish breakfast and this one matched this standard food-wise. However, there were a few things that made the whole experience less than perfect: - the coffee was absolutely non-drinkable. Ideally, there would've been a Turkish coffee option, but even the coffee machine product was completely disgusting. I really think the hotel should try a different coffee brand/provider; - the lower ground location, without windows, takes away from the joy of being in such a great place like Istanbul. It makes you want to finish your breakfast as soon as possible so you can get out and enjoy the location; - the staff didn't make me feel very welcome.

Amazing location! Can walk to Sofia Mosque and old city within minutes. The breakfast was also great too. All the staff including Engin and Ibad went the extra mile to make our stay amazing.

I had to login into the wife account every few hours to get access.

The hotel location was good and I like the staff. They were kind to us specially Mr Irfan and Murad and office boy Faizal. I would like to thank each one of them and inshallah wpuld. Like to stay again in this hotel for our next stay. Just want to add one thing about breakfast not much variety of food. Thanks Fatma Alyaas

Breakfast

We liked this hotel a lot. It's situated at the quiet end of Ankara road just a 10 minute walk from Hagia Sophie, Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque. The tram, for further exploring, is only 50 metres away. The hotel is fairly new, the beds soft and comfortable. Rooms are cleaned and beds made daily when you stay longer. The staff is friendly and will help you with booking taxi's and tours. Our boating tour they arranged was of good quality. The breakfast varies per day. In the weekend I found a few more, luxurious sweets. Every day you'll find an assortment of cheeses and different yoghurts. For extra money they'll also make you a fresh omelette. The location is fairly quiet at night, if you like to sleep with windows open. We stayed there for 5 nights and can recommend it.

Location is absolutely superb. ~10 min to Topkapi as well as to Grand bazaar. Condition of the hotel is very good. Breakfast - brilliant, service excellent.

Window soundproofing (Our room was on the 5th floor (no.501)). At night it was very loud due to aircon outside (tip to the management - to replace window).

My room is very clean, sofa is also clean and quite new. It is quite specious. Shower is good, and strong. The bed is firm and comfortable but a bit short bed, if you are 175 cm tall, your feet might come out of bed. TV works ok, but not all the channels in the list. Location is SUPER. You can walk around easily. Many restaurants nearby. There is Espresso Lab (cafe) beside hotel enttance. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is quite good (for Turkish standard) for the same hotel class.

I got the room 101; low floor, inner side, so no view. This room is beside the lift, sometimes I could hear noise from life and other hotel guests. In the shower, there might be water in those bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. I could see foam in the bottles. Some bottles, liquid did not come out when I pumped it.
