Location is amazing. Close to all the attractions and has everything around: restaurants, rooftops, supermarket and the best just 1 minute away from tram station. The room has everything including coffee and boiler, mini fridge with everything, safety box etc. The terrace is also very cute and gives a relaxing time with view towards Blue Mosque. The staff is friendly and helpful. The reception is 24 hours open. Has AC and it is not loud.

The toilet door is glass made and kinda see-through. Not all staff speak good English and any price for pick up or excursion are as expensive as everywhere else. Without AC and opened window is kinda noisy from the street plus prayer calling 🫣 The pillows are way too hard..not good compared with mattress that was actually comfortable

Hotel Hypnos was located in the centre of the main attractions in Istanbul and in a walking distance to the metro station. It was enough to just walk out from the hotel to feel the atmosphere of the city. However, it was very quiet at night. Staff in Hypnos were very friendly and hospitable. We had to leave early to catch the plane and we were hoping to get just coffee before our departure. Instead we were served a very tasty Turkish breakfast. Amazing.

It is more of a suggestion than something we disliked but we wished there were more plants on the balcony.

For the money, this was quite luxurious. It’s not a five star hotel but it certainly had a touch of class about it, care and attention to detail made this pretty special. The cooked breakfast - slightly different each day (cold meat, cheese, omelette, bread even chips(!) was superb (and plentiful!). You don’t usually get such a good and varied breakfast in a hotel - I was very impressed. The other great thing about this was the location - ten minute walk from the mosques and palace and the restaurant district

No negatives. Being picky, the A/C was a little noisier than some but really not that noticeable.

Beautifully decorated artsy room and hotel in general with very comfortable beds, a fabulous shower and a tasty freshly made breakfast with good coffee. The small balcony overlooks the street, but other rooms are on a quiet side street. There is plenty of room to store clothes and there were even a number of hangers in the wardrobe. There's a very comfortable armchair, great towels and toiletries are supplied. There are small tables with lights next to the bed. Location is excellent within a short walk from the major sites, excellent bars and restaurants and just steps from the T1 tram line. Staff are wonderful, eager to help and very friendly and most speak good English.

Lighting was on the dim side for my old eyes.

I don't know why there are some bad comments. It's a nice little hotel, safe clean and quiet. All the staff are kind, friendly, helpful and welcoming to the guests. The woman who prepares breakfast every day with love, thanks to her.. From Gulhane Tram Station directly to the room. Those responsible for cleaning the rooms, I apologize to them because we exhausted them with cleaning every day , thanks for them. Thanks HYPNOS HOTEL.

Many great features - the wonderful artwork, the best liftride with a moving show of different kinds of art as the lift ascended or descended. The best balcony view (especially the Blue Mosque.) And a little chair inside sited to see Blue Mosque through small round window. Excellent breakfast tray. Just delightful, thank you. Powerful shower, very comfortable beds

Need for more thorough maintenance - loose door knob, I'll-fitting door, lift problem, ( this is important - safety needs high priority), no hot water one morning

Many thanks for the super pleasant service! All the staff welcomed us well and helped whenever needed. We even got a bigger and Ottoman-style room, which added more comfort. The room had everything you need. The location of the hotel is extremely good and all major attractions are right next to it, there is a tram stop 100m away. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was freshly prepared and varied and delicious. We will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel is in the heart of the old town, but located in a relatively quiet area, so you’re close to all main attractions but still able to get a good rest. The breakfast was by far the biggest surprise for me. It was so nice and with a lot of variety. I genuinely looked forward to it in the morning. Staff was nice and attentive, rooms were spacious with everything you need.

I have to say the staff at this hotel were amazing. Jerry the receptionist was exceptional and without him our stay would have been so different. On our arrival I left my phone in the airport taxi. Jerry immediately sprung into action and managed to locate it somehow within minutes, an amazing feat considering there are thousands of these taxis in Istanbul. Within 20 minutes the driver returned with my phone. In addition, Jerry and all the staff were so helpful with information, bookings and help in general. Friendly at all times, pleasant, professional they could not have been any better.We loved the hotel, our room and the breakfasts but above all the amazing staff, especially Jerry made our holiday so special. Thank you Hotel Hypnos and Jerry who I have to say is the most efficient, friendly, professional hotel staff I have ever come across in all my travels. Claire and Tony, Scotland

+ perfect location (We highly recommend this place if you want to explore Istanbul in 2-3 days) + tasty breakfast (We were on a family vacation and booked 4 rooms. Still, the staff was very quick and managed to prepare amazing breakfast for all of us every morning) + comfortable rooms + friendly staff

- lack of communication between the valets (The valets left our cars unlocked several times despite the instructions that we provided) - poor English skills of the valets - The cards for the rooms were not working properly and had to be replaced several times
