Great location. Staff were really friendly and helpful and spoke English as our turkish isnt great! They couldn't have done more for us. They arranged a transfer for us back to the airport and it arrived on time without issue. Amazing views from the restaurant with great food. The hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated. We didn't use the facilities but we were shown them and they looked good. The pool is narrow but ideal if you want to do a few lengths.

The hotel is located in a lively area which may not suit some guests. The double glazing in the rooms is great, however, so you can't hear much when the balcony door is closed. The location and liveliness of the area is part of the reason we chose this hotel so don't let it put you off!

Everything. The location was near all the places I used to frequent when I lived there yet feels tucked away from the hub of activity right out the front door. Be sure to get the breakfasts, they are divine though I could never eat as much as I would like. The staff were warm, generous, and consistently helpful. I loved that there was coffee/tea and a fridge in each room but also that the rooms and the hotel in general is stylish, uniquely focused on the cultural history of the region, and soothing after long days of work/walking. There is also a full gym! Such a plus. Best place to stay in Istanbul, and I have stayed in MANY!!

The hotel is centrally located – perfect for exploring. It's a little oasis in this busy city. Everything is clean & equipped with tasteful interior. Our highlight was the breakfast & the bar on the rooftop. I would come back immediately!

Everything was great. If I had to name something, a few tiny points for improvement could be: - the pillows were a bit too firm for my personal taste - the pool is very tiny, so, I doubt many people are actually using it - the food & drinks on the rooftop are quite pricey - the rooms could be a little bit brighter Anyway, these are tiny minus points that were definitely outweighed by the positive aspects of this beautiful hotel. :)

Clean rooms. Well equipped with good design

The window was directed on the wall though I asked the receptionist to give us a different one. Absence of natural daylight is very unpleasant. We needed to go to the bus station and personnel did not manage to get us a taxi. As a result we needed to find a taxi ourselves and overpaid three times as the local drivers refused to use a taximeter and we already had no time to bargain with them and heavy luggage to use the metro.

The hotel’s location was perfect, offering a dynamic ambiance and close proximity to the city center, making it an ideal base for exploring. The nightlife in the area was vibrant and enjoyable. Breakfast on the top floor was a pleasant experience with an excellent ambiance and stunning views, though the croissants were not fresh, and overall, it felt overpriced for the quality offered. While the cost may not justify the breakfast, the unique setting and atmosphere make it worth trying at least once.

I enjoyed almost everything about the hotel, except for the lack of natural daylight in the room. The lighting remained the same throughout the day and night, which made it quite unsettling if you planned to spend time in the room during the day. This was the only drawback to an otherwise pleasant stay.

It is a beautiful building, fitted out really well. The rooftop bar and restaurant are great - from the rooftop restaurant you get almost 360 views. Our room faced the art wall which meant it lacked natural light but to be honest this was good as it was nice and quiet when we came back at night (the area is lively)! We visited as a couple and the location was great for going out at night to eat, drink and shop.

There was nothing that detracted from our stay - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The pool wasn't quite as expected (small and on the interior) although it makes sense given that Galata is a densely built-up area! It would be perfectly fine for doing lengths though. It would've been nice to offer local, cheaper beer in the upstairs bar and restaurant rather than imported European beers - we loved Efes!

The position is perfect, both to reach the old center and to go out at night. The hotel style is very cool (not like luxury but very well furnished) and the staff is always available and nice. Bed is comfortable and you have all the necessary to shower if you need. The gym has a lot of equipment even though small in size. We did not try breakfast but the bar and restaurant have amazing views on the city. Thank you so much for letting me buy the Istanbul guide that was in the room, I liked it so much!

Nothing for us. The only thing I can point out is the noise from outside and inside (doors opening and closing) specially during the weekend. We were coming back in the room also quite late so for us it was no bother at all, you also have earplugs to use. If you are sensitive or want to sleep early I suggest you can request a room facing the inside.

The highlight of my stay at Ruz Hotels would definitely be the staff. They go out of their way to assist you, not only to make you feel welcomed but to ensure your experiences are smooth. They are always offering to help with anything, which was a godsend given that I am a solo traveler. They were being friendly without crossing any boundaries, and made me feel safe! Shout out to Ali, Omer, Ugurcan, and Onur for just being absolute gems. The rooftop bar and restaurant, which is also where the breakfast takes place, is absolutely gorgeous, has a nice view, and offers quality food, though lack of variety (Turkish breakfast, pancakes, or a healthy option of granola bowl/smoothie/oats). Outside of the breakfast, their 5th floor little terrace offers FIRE cocktails and snacks. This is not to mention ridiculously amazing restaurants all around like Aheste and Mabou, I was so spoilt for choice! The hotel location is UNREAL, it's almost too good if you don't like the sound of music banging and people socializing, so I wouldn't imagine this being a place for families. The gym is amazing and the pool, well, they surely used their space wisely. The room itself serves its purpose. With the limited space they have, they are trying their best. A coffee machine, a hair dryer, bathrobes, and a little fridge are all a girl asks for anyway. The little library place also dubbs as the lobby. I worked remotely there all the time and got offered coffee or tea every single day. The hotel room cleanliness is ALRIGHT, however some amenities were not replaced daily (I stayed a whole 8-night so I'd know). Some days they'd forget the floor towel, etc but the mistakes were so minor i didn't waste time complaining. The upside is that they clean your room quickly and at basically anytime, morning or afternoon. I did not feel there was any cutoff time, like some branded 5-star. In short, this hotel has become and will easily become my second home in Istanbul!

To be completely honest, without a blackout curtain, and also the A/C having super bright LED display, a difficult sleeper like myself found it difficult to adjust, as I normally sleep in pitch black environment. I had to find a way to put a towel over the A/C and some nights I wore a sleeping mask but it's NOT ideal for my skincare routine. I already mentioned the location being in the center of all the action so it's a given that at night it gets loud. Ear plugs. Ear plugs. Ear plugs. Other than these small things, I genuinely have no complaints!

The hotel is located in the middle of the most vibrant part of the city, but hides in a small alley. Clean and tasteful, a room has everything you might need. Helpful, humble staff.  There is no better location than this. You are at the beginning of the Istiklal street -  main pedestrian "party" street. The Galata tower is within a 5 minute of walking. The metro entrance is accessible within a walk of one minute. I would recommend utilizing the metro, funicular, and tram as they are faster and more convenient than taxi in most cases. The rooftop terrace restaurant has a good selection of fine food and drinks. Breakfast is not a buffet, but is served with an ample plate of healthy snacks and egg dish by your choice. It was a special moment for us, with a nice view from a rooftop and a good service. We wanted to prolong it. My wife and I are frequent travellers, and we have been to Istanbul several times. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

This was the second time I stayed at Ruz and it's definitely one of the nicest hotels we've stayed! From the super nice design, cleanliness and comfort (beds were amazing) to a very nice location, cool rooftop bar with really nice drinks and a nice restaurant. The staff was the cherry on top! Everyone at the hotel is super sweet and helpful. This time I returned to Istanbul to pick up my wedding dress and the manager Emrah remembered me from my last stay and gave us a super nice room upgrade along with some bubbles. We could not recommend the Ruz more! Thank you for having us, we'll def be back!!
