Everything about this hotel is top class. From the reception staff to the well appointed and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended and we will be returning here for sure. Thanks to all of the staff for making our stay special.

Be careful when booking as some rooms have no outside view or natural daylight because the window overlooks a service staircase. This only shows when you click on the i icon for more information about the room prior to booking. It simply says, "no view." I believe that these are the standard twin/double and studios. The superior/deluxe rooms and their larger rooms with balconies are obviously fine and show pictures of the windows. Don't let this put you off, this hotel is excellent and if you have found it and they have vacancies, Book It !!

This is a great local hotel in a fantastic location. It was our first time in Istanbul, and we felt like everything we wanted to see was either in walking distance or easily accessible by transit. The hotel itself is comfortable and well-appointed, but what really sets it apart is the staff. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Both the day and the night front desk staff was so helpful and genuinely warm, offering great intel about the neighborhood. They arranged a very affordable laundry service for me, which was so appreciated. There was also a water outage in the neighborhood when we were there (not the hotel's fault at all, it was a city shut-off), and they were so apologetic about it that they arranged a free airport transfer for us. Completely unnecessary, but an example of true hospitality. Keep it up! We'll be back.

The location and staff were nice. :) The room (in general) was good. I also liked the minibar (incl. non-alcoholic beverages) and its prices. Nice place for 2-4 days staying.

I booked the room with two beds (for me and my friend), but our room was "upgraded" for a bigger one however there were a double bed and a sofa. Honestly, I was too tired to discuss it, so I took the sofa and it was a terrible decision in terms of sleep quality. It shouldn't be used at all as a place for sleep.

I am a regular guest there for a reason. It is the perfect combination of luxury and modesty; welcoming and comfortable without being overwrought or stuffy. The rooms are generous and private, and quiet despite the boisterous neighbourhood. The position between three absolutely brilliant restaurants - one immediately downstairs - is an added bonus, and if you enjoy an hour’s walk (which I do), you can walk virtually anywhere in the city from this location. Really a gem of a place.

The staff really is top notch. I can’t remember when I’ve received such stellar customer service from a hotel. The location was great as well. Seemed to be right in the middle of all the action, and a quick walk to Galata tower. The hotel is modest (no grand lobby), but the room I received was spacious and well appointed. The charging station was also convenient, as I was able to wirelessly charge my phone and watch. I highly recommend, and will stay here again when I return to Istanbul.

Minor things I noticed was the lighting in bathroom was a bit dim, when trying to shave. Mattress was also on the firm side. But, the overall experience is still 10/10.

Friendly and superb location. You can get breakfast from Varun opposite. The room I chose was classic, without balcony and brilliant for being quiet. Pick that if you are a light sleeper, as Istiklal street is naturally humming with noise. They replace water everyday and it's easy to walk to Tophane tram down the line and Funicular. Boutique place that's great for smart travellers.

More regular snacks at reception as these ran out quickly.

All of the front desk staff that I interacted with during my 5-night stay were extremely helpful and accommodating. From suggestions for tours to showing me pictures from their personal phones of what the cable car entrance would look like, to printing off the ferry schedule for me and giving me details on costs between using a credit card vs the Istanbul Red Transit card. In addition to the guest relations of the staff, I also really enjoyed the robes that were in the rooms for use after a shower. They were so soft, I bought one when I was out in town shopping.

Istanbul is mostly built on a hill, so it is unavoidable that this one is too. The hills and narrow streets make it difficult to get tour pickup at the actual hotel entrance. It's not a big deal, but it's good to know in advance. Not all hotels serve breakfast or have a restaurant on location, and this is one of them, but there are so many restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel supplies guests with a list of good restaurants.

This was one of the best stays I had. 1) Location. It was very well located 10 meters on a little street branching out of Istiklal. Despite this there is almost no noise in the DUPLEX in which I stayed. It may be different in other rooms but in the DUPLEX it was very quiet. I am a light sleeper and would rate it 10/10. 2) Staff. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Not to mention good English skills. 3) Reaction time. There was a small problem, the hose of the shower leaked, however it was fixed like 2h after I told the front desk. 4) Wifi device. They give you a wifi device(for free) which creates a hotspot so you do not have to use mobile data which in Turkey is a real problem if you come from the EU. For example, a friend of mine who was ignorant about this paid 300 eur by using roaming, meanwhile myself paid nothing, I used this device the whole time. I do not know if this is something standard that all the hotels do however I found it extremely useful. 5) Ease of access. The hotel is situated close to the end of Istiklal Blvd, next to the funicullary which takes you down to the Galata Bridge. From there you could walk over the bridge or take a tram and you arrive in Sultanahmet, the area with most of the objectives(mosques, palaces) 6) My accomodation was very nice, plenty of space, both in the upstairs room and in the downstairs room. (i stayed in the duplex)

It would have been better if there would have been a bathroom in the room upstairs. I did not notice this when I booked(I would have booked anyway). If you happen to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom you will not want to stay in the room upstairs. It's funny because there is space for a bathroom upstairs, there is actually a space, like a wardrobe or something in which a toilet would have been nice. And there is running water because they have a kitchen sink upstairs but no toilet. Anyway, it is not a major thing and I would still rate this a 10/10.

The location is great, right next to Istiklal, with metro Sishane station meters away, you can also walk down to Galata bridge and there is a Tram 1 that will take you to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. I really liked how smooth the check in process was and how friendly the staff was throughout my stay. They emphasise that they care about your comfort and you can really feel it in every detail (portable wifi is available on demand, every possible room amenity is available as well). The room itself was spacious and clean, with comfortable bed. Despite the hotel being tucked away on a side street from busy Istiklal, I didn't really hear any noise from the street, so slept very well. The only little downside is that the hotel does not provide breakfast, but I walked out every morning and tried different cafes around the area, so was no real big deal for me. All in all, I will definitely stay at the hotel again for my future trips of Istanbul.

Stayed at the story hotel for a week and loved every minute . The staff are so helpful they can’t do enough for you . The advice they gave us for our days out exploring was amazing . We could not have done so successfully without their advice and help. We were given a travel card on arrival to use on the tram, ferry , buses etc. our room was cleaned daily unless otherwise specified and it was immaculate so thank you to the cleaning team always so friendly . A special thanks goes to Ufuk,Furkan,James and especially Mustafa (MK) and Ihsan. All of whom made our stay a breeze . We hope to see you in the UK sometime .
