It is located right on the Taksim square. With easy access to M2 and bus stop. Spacious rooms, just a bit tired.

1. Very difficult for taxi to park and unload luggage. 2. At the restaurant/bar service was terrible. Waiters had no idea what they were doing. Paid no attention to guests. It seems like everyone was in training and was not sure of their roles. I ate there twice and only one of four dishes I will eat again. 3. There were some positive and negative reviews about breakfast on booking, and now I understand why. In general all main breakfast items were present, but there were nothing special to look forward to eat again the next day. I guess it can be described as basic. From 5 star hotel you expect more. Also staff was aimlessly walking around, creating a feeling that you are on a busy street.

1. Breakfast very limited variety. For 7 mornings, I ate the same food during breakfast which was sunny side up, toasts and coffee as it lacks variety like Asian food.

It was one of the best decision I made to book the luxury king size bed sea view room for my mother. I booked this while mother arrived in Istanbul Airport and I was in Canada far from her. Phone call conversation with hotel costumer services was the best quality ever. I felt the care, trust and respect that was the moment I knew my mom is going to have the most peaceful and lovely experience. I am happy I. An confidently say it absolutely was. Customer Service responded to my phone call very quick and answered all my questions patiently and politely. They welcomed my mother with so much warmth and respect. They also supported my mother even in midnight to arrange phone charging converter for her cell phone to be connected with us. My mother loved this hotel. The quality and cleanliness was stunning. One of the most peaceful time that could happened for our Mom. Breakfast was awesome. The location was amazing near Taksim square and night life. Next time my sisters and I will join my mother again at Sofitel Hotel. This time for bigger room reservation which is suitable for 4 people for sure. Thank you Sofitel Hotel Staff team for giving the best peaceful and joyful time to my mother. We will see you soon again!

It was near to Taksim square . The basic staff like room service cleaning staff was very good .

The reception staff was worst worst ever seen . Very arrogant and spoiled the trip Not helpful at alll.

Amazing location. Nice rooms. Good food and staff very friendly and professional.

There is a club or loud music on the top floor most evenings so if you need an early nights sleep this is not good. I chose a lower floor to offset this and that does make a difference.

We were in Istanbul for the first time over a long weekend to celebrate a special birthday. We were here for five nights. I had previously made mention of this during the booking process and on arrival and check-in, the hotel made us their guests of the day with upgrade to a suite. This was totally unexpected. The room had a small alcove area with far reaching views over the Bosporus. All staff were friendly and polite and all happy to help. I cannot commend on breakfast and although included, we never made it. This was not a spa break, so we never used the spa facilities either as typically spent our time exploring the city.

Noise. Although we felt Istanbul was quieter than other cities, there was a lot of music thudding until around midnight/01.00am from either the nightclub above the hotel or other local venues. We were on the 9th floor and the club was on the 12th. I know of two complaints of other guests. Maybe ask for a room on a lower level? The bar area seemed rather sterile in the evenings, but I guess typical of a more corporate hotel. So we went to the 12th on our first night which was amazing. So we can't really complain of the noise!

During my recent stay at Sofitel, I was extremely impressed with the overall experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and provided excellent service. I must give a special shoutout to Emre Tapan from front desk. an exceptional employee who went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. His attentive and friendly demeanor truly enhanced my experience. I highly recommend this hotel, and Emre's exceptional service made a lasting impression on me

Temperature of the lobby and rooms extremely cold , in contrast with the heat outside in July. Temp of A/C needs to be changed centrally, could not be modified directly in our room. Staff however did their best to increase/change temperature. We opted for keeping A/C completely off. Swimming pool is closed at 18h which is a bit early for Istambul time.

The noise from the club at night

We have been surprised by the good quality and great customer service. Especially Mrs.Setareh always kept her eyes on us and made sure all our requests are met. Our little toddler loves Avocados and she made sure that everyday a little plate was at our breakfast table ☺️. Rooms are very clean and we wish we knew that they even had US outlets. We will for sure be back and recommend to anyone planning to travel to Istanbul.

The only little negative was a weird smell at some occasions (plumbing) but nothing serious to complain about.
