Hi, I want to tell you step by step: 1. Reception and check in time; the chairman of the hostel was so cool and warm. He was such good Kurdish man I have ever seen. And about check in of course you can get it in 24 hours too. 2. Wi-fi; hi recommend you give a turkcell for many reasons, but in the hostel you have free unlimited wi-fi. It's very good, isn't it? 3. Facilities; You give a clean (blanket, towel, paper toilet). You have access to dinnerware and refrigerators in the kitchen too. (Note: Don't remember slippers for yourself too). 4. Location; Can you believe that it's just 10 min on foot till Taksim Sq., Metro, Bus, Taxi and cable tram. 5. How quiet? About the noisy places believe me it's quite good.

Many people are smoking in Istanbul.

Great hospitality. The room is clean, utilities and everything is new. First floor : room with 4 beds, mini kitchen, back area & toilet. Second floor : private room for 2 with shower inside. Then mixed dorms. Third floor : 2 shower rooms & mixed dorms. You get a towel and locker. I like that in the 4 beds there's electric plug near the pillow. Eventhough the staff can't speak English, but Google translate will make everything easier.

The space height of the bunk bed is too low. I can't even sit on the bed.

Taksim History Wooden Hostel is a quiet place and your host Sabih is an excellent person, super friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my days in this hostel

Perhaps the location is not the best because it is down a hill.

The owner was sooo nice, friendly, and respectful! The rooms are always clean, and the kitchen and the toilettes, The small garden was so nice and was able to get to know many other people during my stay♡ The owner allowed me to check in early and also allowed me to leave my stuff in the house after checking out since my flight was so late, which made things much easier for me, The owner was so nice and talkative with everyone, which was really sweet♡ I'm definitely coming back again!

Was very nice cleaning everyday, nice smell of the hostel.

During my stay, the weather was quite hot. Once I mentioned this to the staff, they responded promptly by ordering a new fan to help make the room more comfortable, which I truly appreciated. It's worth noting that while this isn’t specific to the hostel, nighttime in Istanbul often comes with the persistent sounds of birds, which may affect the quality of sleep for light sleepers. Bringing earplugs might be a good idea for those sensitive to noise.

Good value. Close to the Havabus stop for the bus to the airport. The communication with the hostel was easy over whatsapp. I arrived very late because of my flight delay, but the hostel shared the door lock code for me to enter and which room to use. The bed was very comfortable, with white bed sheets that were clean and a pillow that matched. The temperature in the room was a little too warm. The hostel was happy for me to keep my luggage in the room after the checkout time to collect later. I will definitely recommend this place and will use it again if I need to.

Room was too warm.

The guests who come are nice, I meet people from all cultures. I chat and sit. This gave me great pleasure. Since I travel constantly, I will definitely prefer this place every time I come to Istanbul. When you leave the hostel, turn right. If you continue straight, you will see Taksim Square. I usually use the metro for transportation. It stops in front of many touristic areas. You can see street vendors outside in the evenings. You can come across people selling bags and watches for very cheap. If you like shopping, ask the business owner about the socialite bazaar. The socialite market is set up on certain days. And shopping is very cheap for clothing. If you are looking for a tour, booking shows you suitable tours. It is possible to visit Istanbul at affordable prices. Overall I can say very good. I will come again. Goodbye for now

The guy at reception (maybe the owner?) was very kind and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Very close to metro and lots of places to eat.

My room did not have fan or aircon, so a bit uncomfortable to sleep at night, but manageable. A bit of noise from the street, but much quieter than other places in Taksim area.

The hostels location is very near Taksim square and a 5 mintue walk from the Ataturk airport bus stop, it's situated far enough away from the hustle bustle down a quiet dainty street. A very clean, tidy and safe premises, all the utilities work well and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nothing I did not like

I had long flights on two consecutive nights so I only wanted a place to sleep for the gay and this hostel worked out fine for me. The owner was nice and allowed to check in early, the building is easily accessible, wi-fi works well, showering was convenient, there are lockers in the room (but you have to bring your own lock). Not so far from the subway station, nice neighbourhood.

Kitchen could be cleaner.
