The staff are all super helpful and kind. The guy at the reception is very knowledgeable about the best ways to plan my day and my travel to famous sights. The lady at reception is very sweet and checked if I was comfortable during my stay and if I would need any assistance booking a ride to the airport. Mehmet from the restaurant generously gave me his extra Istanbulkart to get me started on my sightseeing. He also makes excellent Turkish Coffee. The staff definitely made my stay an amazing one! The restaurant view also sealed the deal for me, I will return to this hotel if I find myself back in Istanbul in the future. I had a beautiful and relaxing view while having a breakfast and Mehmet’s excellent coffee everyday!

The toilet had an unpleasant smell, and leak but the cleanjng lady made sure to clean this properly everyday. The street in front of the hotel can get loud from 9-12 because of the bars but with the windows closed it was bearable. This is not the fault of the hotel anyway.

The rooms are spacious, cozy and clean. Friendly staff, always solved all our requests and answered our questions. The staff speaks excellent Russian. There is a wonderful restaurant on the top floor. All hotel guests get a 15% discount on the entire restaurant receipt. The restaurant has two terraces (indoor and outdoor). Both terraces have excellent views of the Bosphorus, the Blue Mosque and St. Sophia Cathedral. In general, I liked the hotel, I recommend it!

In Sultanahmet district. Great location to walk to major attractions and near Bosphorus, boat trip from Cankurtaran Cad. Old hotel and would benefit from a face lift but good value for money. We had suite so plenty of room. Clean and comfortable. The roof top restaurant was good, with views of Bosphorus. And handy to eat there after a day of sightseeing. All the staff were fantastic, kind, helpful, friendly and efficient.

Our “suite” was large and it had a decent bathroom but the furniture was old.

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Sofia in Istanbul! The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. While the facilities were decent, what truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredible staff. Everyone was warm and welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their hospitality added a special touch to our trip. If you're looking for a place with a prime location and exceptional service, Villa Sofia is the perfect choice!

Bathroom facilities

My 4th time in Istanbul, and last 3, Im staying in this hotel. Staff is super helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is 100% perfect. Public transport, main tourist attractions are just a few steps away. Breakfast is delicious and has plenty of choice - different types of eggs, cheeses, sausages, olives, vegetables and fruit, and more stuff. Lovely restaurant on the rooftop. If you like to eat out, on the same street you will find many other places. Rooms are slightly dated, but the price reflects this, and you have everything you need in the room. It's a wonderful value for the price. We have been as a group of friends, so I have booked multiple rooms this time.

The hotel exceeded my expectations, location is brilliant, 4 min walking to ayasophya mosque and top capi museum, live neighborhood with lots of cafes and restaurants, room was nice, heated, staff are helpful and friendly, terrace view is amazing with double view at phosphorus and ayasopya mosque, Owner is helpful, helped me planning my visits during my trip , I would definitely stay here again when visiting istanbul.

Nice breakfast. Spacious rooms. Great shower. Friendly and fantastic staff. Hotel cat is an attention seeker. Nice views from terrace. Located close to Hagia Sophia. They allowed us to leave our bags after checkout.

The local authorities need to improve the traffic management situation on the road outside. Large busses come and drop tourists off at the end of the street which results in long delays and backlog of traffic. The incessant use of car horns was annoying.

The staff made it a priority to please their guests and worked hard to provide a great stay. The bathroom was recently remodeled and beautiful. The view from their dining room was of an ancient bath house and enchanting.The Villa is very close to the waterfront, which is also a lovely walk. Would recommend the Whirling Dervish restaurant, close to the hippodrome, for an affordable meal and a complimentary show, which was a treat. Also, en route to the waterfront, we passed an Asian restaurant packed with Asians, so we really wished for another evening so that we could try out this obviously great restaurant.

The hotel is located in an area with lots of quaint restaurants. Unfortunately,they are quite pricey, which is not our vibe, so we had to walk around a while to find one in our price range. Fortunately, the walk is beautiful.

I arrived very early at that time, around 8 am, tired and cold and not yet fully recovered from the illness. This friendly reception staff (Mr. Javazi) helped me to carry my suitcase in and even knew my name. More surprising he offered early check in. It may be a trivial thing but for me it is an extraordinary thing. I can't thank him enough for this kindness. (Thank you for offered me extra breakfast, Mr. Javazi). I was able to rest for a few hours before picking up my husband at the airport. The late check out also very helpful as our flight was in the middle of the night. That was my second time staying at Villa Sofia with my husband. I got a bigger room than the last time I stayed. Breakfast is always good as usual. My husband really likes it. This place made him fall in love with Turkish tea. He even promised to come again and stay here this summer.
