The staff of the hotel was very welcoming and caring, our room was very clean with comfortable beds. Sebnem Hotel is in a very good location, as the most famous places are very close. Breakfast on the roof was variuos, fresh and tasty. Thank you very much Ali, the beautiful reception lady (forgot her name, sorry) and everyone working in the hotel. Best recommendations!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in April 2024. My impressions are entirely positive. Staff: The team was incredibly responsive and helpful. They provided detailed information about the city and its attractions, and even showed everything on the map. We arrived late in the evening, and the staff warmly welcomed us, giving us a tour of the hotel. Our luggage got slightly misplaced during the journey, but the staff took it upon themselves to contact the airport and help locate it. Special thanks to Ali and Alex! Location: The hotel is situated right in the heart of the old city, just a 5-minute walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, surrounded by numerous restaurants and cafes. Breakfast and Terrace: The open terrace on the top floor serves as the breakfast venue, offering a splendid view of the Bosphorus and delicious Turkish breakfast options. Additionally, there is a covered section on the terrace, providing shelter in case of inclement weather or intense sunlight. The staff prepares various dishes with care, introducing something new every day, and baking excellent pastries. Fresh fruits are always available. Room: The room was spacious, more than sufficient for two people. Upon check-in, we were shown two available rooms, and we opted for the one on the second floor. Housekeeping was provided daily.

The hotel is small, but for us, it was more of an advantage than a drawback.

The Hotel is placed at a fantastic location, the main attractions : Hagia Sofia, The Blue Mosque, Tokpai Palace, Bosphorus, Parks, Bazaar's are just around the corner. During the evening / night you can take a walk along the sea & watch the sunset, it's a beautiful area. The Hotel also has a beautiful view from the top. The Hotel staff is extremely polite and helpful, I had the pleasure to meet Miss Rukiye & Mr. Ali Karakuş at the reception, both were accommodating and described the best possibilities to view the attractions. The room was always cleaned properly, the bed was spacious and the pillows were comfortable. The room also had air conditioner in it. If I visit Istanbul again, I wouldn't mind staying in this hotel.

These are not complaints, just a few pointers for others who will find this information helpful : - There are no lifts, so you have to drag your luggage by stairs, depending on which floor you are at (the staff is extremely helpful, you can always ask the staff to help you with it) - The floor is wooden, which means you can easily hear the creaking noises once you walk on it, my room was on the 1st floor, I could easily hear what's going on the ground floor when I was inside my room. - The Closet was placed really close to the bed leaving less room to walk around - The bathroom was not spacious All the points mentioned above weren't really a problem for me personally, but maybe this information would be useful for the other travellers.

The location is phenomenal, only two or three blocks away from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. While restaurants in the area are a little more expensive than other parts of Istanbul (since it's the touristy section), the hotel staff have lots of recommendations for good restaurants. In fact, Jacob and Rukiye made our stay a 10/10 experience. They helped us set up dinner/tours, got us deals on trips, showed us the best restaurants, and even let us borrow an Istanbulkart (public transportation card) since we stayed for so many days. The hotel is only a 8 minute walk away from the tram line, which is helpful if you want to travel to Karakoy or take the ferry to Kadikoy. The hotel breakfast is awesome, the lady who cooks is really nice, and she made us specific orders for breakfast as well! So all in all, next time we come to Istanbul we're going to stay here again. And shoutout Rukiye, Jacob, Ali, and the dude who had the night shift for making our trip the best experience possible!

The hotel is small but very cozy, with an excellent location. Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet are nearby, as well as a bus stop and Bosphorus tour departures. If you are looking for a place to stay in the historical area while still being able to reach other beautiful spots easily, this hotel is perfect for you. I especially want to highlight the exceptional friendliness of the staff – it is simply beyond praise. The team is very welcoming and always ready to help with anything. Yakup and Rukiye were incredibly helpful and made my trip even better. Especially Rukiye – she is like an angel of this hotel. Many thanks to everyone. I will definitely stay here again next time

The only downside was that the Wi-Fi did not work on the terrace, which made it difficult to sit there in the evening and use the internet

In the heart of Sultanahmet, within the medieval city walls and just a few minutes' walk from the city's main landmarks, we spent an unforgettable 7 days at the wonderful Şebnem Hotel. The only problem we had with this hotel was once we got home – trying to find the right words to express how grateful we were for all the attention, hospitality, and comfort we experienced during our stay. So let’s start from the beginning – our very first evening upon arrival. We were warmly welcomed by Ali with a big smile. He opened a city map, circled all the must-see places, and even gave us a transportation card, along with clear instructions on how to use and refill it. We went up to our room, which was spotlessly clean yet cozy and inviting. Then we headed up to the rooftop terrace—and there, we were left speechless. Whether in the evening or in the morning, the view took our breath away. They serve the best possible breakfast there, and without a doubt, the most delicious coffee. Speaking of the rooftop, there's only one dilemma: While seagulls fly in circles above your head and their calls add to the idyllic atmosphere, you find yourself wondering— Is the view more beautiful in the morning or at night? Or at any time of the day, really—since the terrace is open 24 hours and you’re free to help yourself to water, tea, or coffee whenever you like. Ali gave us all kinds of helpful tips—where to exchange money, where to shop—and even took us to a nearby restaurant just minutes away, Vista Roof, which, like the hotel, deserves all the praise in the world. Just as warmly as they welcomed us, they saw us off on our final day—again with wide smiles and the usual question: “Is there anything we can help you with?” Since the hotel is close to all major attractions, we would occasionally return during the day just to rest a bit—and then, feeling refreshed, we would continue exploring. No matter the time of day, the same welcoming smile always awaited us.

We had a fantastic stay at Sebnem Hotel in Istanbul! The location is perfect – right in the heart of the city, close to all the main attractions, yet quiet and peaceful. The views from the hotel are beautiful, and the area has such a charming atmosphere. A special thank you to Yakoob, the receptionist, who truly made our stay even more enjoyable. He was incredibly kind, polite, and helpful throughout our visit. He gave us great advice about places to visit, helped us book a traditional hamam experience, and even arranged our taxi. His warm hospitality really stood out and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The people at the hotel were lovely, and the service was excellent. We would definitely recommend Sebnem Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul, and we’ll gladly return on our next trip

We had such a great stay at this hotel. The location is unbeatable — it’s just a 5-minute walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and the waterfront. There are also countless restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby, which made exploring the city even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible service from Yakup at the front desk. He welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. On the first day, he sat down with us and went over a map of Istanbul, pointing out all the major attractions and helping us plan our route. Thanks to him, we were able to get around easily and make the most of our time. Honestly, he’s one of the best hotel staff I’ve ever met! The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. It cost only €10, which is cheaper than most nearby restaurants, and it was absolutely delicious. We loved starting our day with a hearty Turkish breakfast while enjoying the cozy atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Istanbul — it’s a perfect base for sightseeing, and the service really made us feel at home.

Such a lovely team working here. Great location, amazing breakfasts and a fantastic view from the rooftop terrace. There were a few power cuts while we stayed in Istanbul so we did lose aircon on the second afternoon until late that night, but the team did all they could to help and went out of their way to apologise.

Only thing I’d suggest is some maintenance is needed to replace loose door handles and some fixtures and fittings in the room and bathroom that are missing, like blown lightbulbs needing replacing as it was a bit dark, but the room was good value and these issues did not really affect our stay.
