This little hotel had a great location- it was walkable to all the main sites in this area. The staff was very helpful, especially the lady who prepares the breakfast! There was always something extra and different prepared each morning and she was very friendly. This is a small hotel so you get more personal service. I also like that it was out of the main hustle bustle of the big roads... so it was very quiet (except for the seagulls ha ha ha).

It would have been nice if there were screens on the window so we could open them without worrying about mosquitoes. Also, they could replace some towels because I had a few over four days that were in very rough condition with holes.

I especially liked the cleanliness of the place, of the bedsheet and towels. Furniture and decoration are traditional (not modern) and cute. Toiletries and hair dryer available in the bathroom too, like in a 4-star hotel. No bad smells inside the room (I am very sensitive about smells). Room was spacious as well as the bathroom (booked the standard double room instead of single, although it was single occupancy). Breakfast on the rooftop (with nice views to the sea) had quite a nice variety of freshly cooked food for a small hotel like this, and the food was of good quality (I had no digestive issues after eating here). The staff was friendly, always ready to help with any request. A filtered water dispensing machine was available in the lobby and we could replenish our bottles down there every day. They attended our request to set a special decoration for one of our companions, because it was her birthday (see attached picture). Location - on a quiet, retired street - is awesome, within walking distance to most important attractions in the Old City area. Also, plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Just 5 minutes away from the train station (Line U3) and 10 minutes from the streetcar's stop.

The A/C unit was working, but it was not cooling the room (same for two rooms). For those having a very sensitive sleep, keep in mind that by 4:30AM, there will be some singing in the speakers coming from the mosques (however, that will happen in mainly any area of the city); other than that, the hotel is located on a quite quiet street. Another thing that may be improved is the fact that the water coming from the shower had a slightly unpleasant smell. I am not sure whether this was due to the hotel water tank or it already comes that way from the city.

For the price point, I’d say the room is reasonably big with an in-room shower and toilet. The daily breakfast was awesome with good spread, and great view as the venue is at the hotel’s rooftop. The lady who prepared and served the breakfast is very friendly and helpful. Location wise, the hotel is about 5 min walk from T6 Cankurtaran Train Station and 10 min from T1 Sultanahmet Tram Station. Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque is within 5-10 mins from the hotel. Be mindful though, just like the rest of Istanbul, the area is very hilly with cobblestone roads. Packed light and wear appropriate shoes, and prepare to work your glutes and legs. 😜 Highly recommended.

Nothing about the hotel. Like i mentioned earlier, Istanbul is very hilly so the walk (if you decide not to take taxi) will be quite an exercise for some. And the stairs in the hotel are narrow and steep, which is quite common for the hotels here in Istanbul. So always hold the handrail for safety.

We absolutely loved our stay at Esans hotel! The cozy and cute decor made it feel so welcoming, and the rooms were incredibly comfy. The staff were absolutely adorable and always ready to help with a smile.The breakfast was delightful, homemade, fresh, and gave us a real sense of home. The location is also interesting, within walking distance of the main tourist attractions.

The only downside is that the nearby food spots and grocery shops are quite limited and on the expensive side. It’s just something to keep in mind,

The hotel is in Sultanahmet, which is a nice area close to important monuments like the Basilica Cistern, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. Despite its closeness to various attractions, the hotel is situated in a quiet side street, close to public transport too. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. Nice options for breakfast, some of which are cooked on the spot on the rooftop. The price was also very convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly hope to come back!

The room was a perfect size for a family and there were great commodities like a nice powerful shower, comfortable beds and an immaculate living space. The location couldn't have been better as we were only a short walk from some of the major tourist attractions such as the Blue Mosque or the Hagia Sophia. The staff were very helpful and friendly, all contributing to a great stay. Moreover, the delicious breakfast buffet was a delightful addition to our experience.

The location was just perfect. The center of Istambul is extremely busy and has a lot of tight streets, but Esans hotel is located in the nicest street in the area which makes a very nice beginning for the day once you walk out the hotel. The room had a nice smell and towels were very tidy and clean. Breakfast exceeded our expectations, lots of veggies, eggs, jams, cookies and everyday a different cake! Also the reception was very kind, we were attended by Bayram, he made us feel very comfortable and was very thoughtful! Very nice experience overall, we would defenitively stay again if we come back to Istambul.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the hotel with my Mom, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The staff was not only friendly but went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The reception service was prompt and efficient. Breakfast was good. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, and the housekeeping staff did an outstanding job. The location is perfect, there are a lot of restaurants too. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic hotel experience. Kudos to the entire team for their dedication to customer satisfaction.

The hotel is fantastic. Location is excellent choice. We liked the stuff, the room was great. The breakfast we enjoyed every day. The last day we have to depart earlier, and we asked the stuff, and the lady was ready for us about 7:30 instead of 8:00. If you have questions, the crew is always at your help. I will choose it again, if we get a room at the one of the top room(s). Hopefully less noise (more info at the other comment). The view from the top mranwhile breakfast is ok.

The only one thing we dont like, that the noise cancelling is not really exist in the hotel, we heard the upeer neighbour, the neighbur next to us, and the upper near neighbour. So if you are a bit sensitive about it, prepare yourself. That is the only one thing i can say.

The location was really convenient for the main tourist sites and for a huge variety of restaurants and yet on a nice quiet street - just perfect. The staff were lovely and willingly carried our suitcases up and down the 3 flights of stairs. The breakfast was simple but freshly prepared and the breakfast terrace had great views out to the Bosphorus. All in all an exceptional stay and really good value for money!

The walls were a bit thin but we just put some music on and then it was fine. The replacement of water and tea etc was a bit hit and miss but the staff were very helpful once we pointed it out.
