Henna Hotel Istanbul is an absolute gem in the heart of the city! The location is simply perfect—just a short walk from iconic attractions like Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Blue Mosque. Plus, the Sultanahmet tram station is only a few minutes away, making it incredibly convenient to explore the rest of Istanbul. The hotel is situated on a lively street filled with charming shops, restaurants, and just steps away from a delightful little bazaar, adding to the authentic Istanbul experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, but what truly sets Henna Hotel apart is its exceptional staff. From the moment you arrive until the time you leave, they greet you with genuine smiles and go above and beyond to make your stay special. We were especially touched by their thoughtfulness—they surprised my wife with a birthday cake and checked in with us daily to offer helpful tips on activities and transportation. Great location in the heart of the old town with elevator access and modern room with comfortable beds and bathroom. Very clean. The walk in shower was spacious with consistent temperature. We loved the large shared roof deck with a view of the Blue Mosque. We got some lovely nighttime photos of the lit up mosque without the crowds. Excellent and plentiful buffet breakfast from 8-11. We loved the extended hours since we were only in town for a 15 hour layover so we were able to sightsee early in the morning before the crowds and then return for a leisurely breakfast. We were able to see (and take exterior photos) of the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, plus visit the Spice Bazaar (sizable but not overwhelming and very clean bazaar with beautiful architecture and lovely spice and sweets stalls with far less crowds and less aggressive stall holders than the Grand Bazaar) and thoroughly visit the Basilica Cisterns within 2.5 hours, all by walking. So, the hotel’s central location was key! Helpful hosts arranged a private airport to hotel transfer for 60 Euros. We landed at midnight at the Istanbul International Airport (without any checked luggage) and arrived at the hotel at 2:20 AM (it took a total of 2H20M to get to town from the airport - and we had a VERY smooth process without any crowds, traffic, or delays!). Found the “Greeter” easily with the hotel’s directions. The “Greeter” coordinates private transfers for many hotels and will call your name and walk you to your vehicle when it has arrived. We waited for about 20-30 minutes before our ride arrived and were conducted to our vehicle (which we’d never have found on our own!). The hotel also called a taxi to take us back to the airport for 37Euros. They negotiated the price for us to make sure we got a fair deal, very helpful since we know from past experience in Istanbul when we were ripped off by a taxi driver.

The room was small, there was little space to walk between the furniture and the bathroom. Not a surprise in the old town. Just be careful so to avoid bumping into the furniture. We stayed in the Pera Palace in a prior visit to Istanbul. While that hotel was luxurious and had large rooms and exquisite ambiance, we liked the location of the Henna better and it feels more authentic to us.

It’s 11/10! Amazing hotel, cozy clean rooms, super tasty breakfast included with a lot of cheese , vegetables and some turkish traditional meals on top of standard european meal. Tasty coffee and possibility to enjoy rainbow coffee)) Amazing 360 view on the city from the roof. Sunsets and sunrises👌Very close to sea, quay, both most popular mosques, a tram with direct transport links to the heart of the city on the same part and piers, Karakoy, Istiklal on another. Especially I’d like to admit very professional, supportive and kind hotel manager and all stuff. From all my soul highly recommend the hotel! Also important : I had single trip and it was absolutely safe for the young lady in that part of the city, in general as in all public places I’ve visited :) Looking forward for my next time to stay in Henna❤️

Out stay at this hotel was a delightful experience, largely due to the exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who consistently go above and beyond. The management is highly professional and pays attention to every detail. Breakfast offers a rich and varied selection, featuring fresh and delicious fruits and vegetables. One of the standout features is the rooftop, with stunning view of the sea and the blue mosque. The room was a bit tight for two people but very clean and comfy. The hotel is located in the charming old town which is perfect for sightseeing and walks. However, be prepared for persistent restaurant invitations from nearly every establishment, which can be a bit overwhelming at times. Despite this, once you navigate through the bustling streets, you can truly relax in this peaceful oasis. A big thank you to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable and above all for the beautiful surprise!

This hotel is superb! The rooms are clean, comfortable, great shower, fantastic location but quiet. The breakfast is brilliant and most mornings I enjoyed it on the roof terrace which has amazing views over the mosques in one direction and the bosphorus/Sea of Marmara on the other side. Ali, the General Manager, greets everyone in the morning, asks about your plans and can give you great suggestions. I was touched by them noticing it was my birthday and he brought me a cake during breakfast which I was really touched by. It is like staying with family - highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The best thing about this property is their location, their staff and the hotel itself. Everyone is very friendly over there and they go out of their way to make your trip a memorable one. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone and would book it again myself too. You are located in the heart of everything which a traveler wants to explore. Great food options nearby too. The hotel rooms are amazing and all the amenities a person wants. The rooftop is just beautiful with all the views. Thank you to everyone there during our stay.

We (group of friends) stayed at Henna hotel this week for 4 nights and we were extremely happy with the accommodation and services provided. The hotel staff specially Sema and Ali were exceptional, and made sure our stay was extremely pleasant, they took care of all our needs, were very helpful and cooperativel in guiding us to make the most of our stay in Istanbul. They were there every day and checked in with us daily to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They made our stay very memorable. The breakfast every day was excellent and very delicious, with lots of varieties including desserts. The breakfast, specially desserts that we had were one of the best, during our stay in Istanbul. We would highly recommend this hotel. It is also very well located (about 7 minutes walk) from all the main attractions like Sultan Ahmet Square (Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern) etc.

During our stay the weather was too cold in the morning so we could not have breakfast at the rooftop but this doesn't take away from the excellent services that were otherwise provided.

Location: Great location to access all the main sites such as Blue Mosque, Basillica Cistern and Hammam's (def visit one!) all within 15 minute walk. Hotel sits on a road of resturants and shops which is convienient. Staff: Very friendly team, the manager in particular who always made an effort to find out our plans for the day and make suggestions. A friendly reception team also Facilities: Small room but perfect for what we needed (twin). Breakfast was a decent standard, continental style. Great views of the city on the roof top.

It was our first time in Istanbul. The hotel is perfectly located - near to all the most important sites for tourists. It was near to a wide range of restaurants some very affordable some quite special; all very good. The breakfast in the hotel each day was fresh and plentiful. Our room was large and airy - warm during the chilly weather we had in April. There were plenty of toiletaries and water which were replaced every day and the room was always cleaned beautifully The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful - the manager was exceptional - he greeted everyone at breakfast spending time finding what they were hoping for in their visit and making helpful practical suggestions to ensure they had best time. We arranged our transfers to and from the hotel through the Henna and were met on time and transported in a comfortable clean vehicle driven by an experienced careful and polite driver. Thank you

A lovely little property with fabulous staff. Everyone was helpful and cheerful. The General Manager made sure to catch up with everyone each day at breakfast and ask after your previous day and your plans for the day ahead and offer any advice. Bottled water was replaced in the room daily and there were a range of teas and coffee in the room and Turkish tea available all day in the lobby. The room itself was comfortable and clean with a lovely walk-in shower Location was great. 5 minutes walk and you were at the entrance for Topkapi Place and Hagia Sophia. Another 5 min and you were at the Blue Mosque or the Sultanahmet tram stop. Breakfast was plentiful with a large selection of Turkish style items as well as bread, croissants, fruit, eggs, yogurt. Plenty of restaurants and mini markets along the road.
