I rarely write reviews, but here it just asks for it. There is something to compare with, since over the past year I have been to 3 hotels in Istanbul of the same type. So, essentially (January 2024): 1. Breakfast is excellent, a mini (very mini) buffet, but quite varied, changing periodically. Other hotels simply had a “Turkish breakfast” (egg, bread, a couple of slices of cucumber, tomato, a couple of olives, a piece of cheese and a piece of sausage). Breakfast - 10/10. 2. Very friendly staff at the reception, speaking excellent English (in previous hotels this was difficult), and always in their place (which is important, in previous hotels they were often absent for a long time). I asked for water twice, each time they gave me a liter bottle for free. I asked if they happened to have an HDMI cable to connect the computer to the TV, they said no, half an hour later they called the room and said that the cable would be there the next day. It was the coolest thing possible. Attitude towards guests 10/10. 3. Rooms were cleaned every day, soaps, shampoos and towels were renewed every day. On previous trips, rooms were cleaned once every few days, and on another trip you had to ask at all because no one was cleaning. Room service is also 10/10. 4. We had a room with a sea view, the view was excellent, this room was worth the money. And the view of the sea and the Blue Mosque from the roof terrace both during the day and in the evening was simply amazing, although it was cold to sit there for a long time, but we had great fun. This is an excellent hotel, I recommend it to everyone and I will definitely go there next time. Have a nice rest!

The room was clean and cosy. The staff is kind and helpful. I stayed only 1day, I was passing through. I like it. The location is convenient.

A pleasant small hotel with a familiar atmosphere. The hosts are extremely kind, I haven't met such nice people in a long time. The roof terrace offers the best start to the day, with a wonderful view of the Bosphorus, seagulls and the breeze during breakfast. The hosts were happy to give us recommendations for city tours, public transport, restaurants and even helped with small technical problems (fixed our broken sunglasses).

The hotel staff was super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast at the rooftop was a great experience, the view was amazing and the food was very good. We stayed in October when the weather was just perfect but I can imagine in summer the AC we had in our room will come in handy.

We weren't super excited about the location of the hotel, as there is no nightlife (bars and such) and the restaurants around are mostly tourist traps. It's great if you're forty+ and just want to be comfortable and see the main Istanbul sights, which are just around the corner. For young people, I'd recommend staying at the Asian side of Istanbul.

The location is great. All main attractions are in walking distance. From our room on the fourth floor we had a stunning view of the Bosphorus and from the rooftop we enjoyed a fabulous view of the city. Despite the central location of the hotel, at the same time it is located in a quiet, safe place. Everything was implacable clean. Our room was cleaned every day and all essentials were refilled daily. The owners and hostess Nazi were very friendly, polite, helpful and attentive. All our needs were met. The breakfast was perfect with wide choice of fresh and testy dishes.

The day manager was very helpful throughout my stay and spoke very good English. The room was larger than I expected and the VIEW is every bit as amazing as it was in the pictures. I think this place is one of the best values in Istanbul. Only a short walk of a few blocks to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

The exact location is a little elusive. If taking a taxi, I would recommend a drop-off at the nearby Rumist Cafe, where you can get directions to take the short walk to the hotel. Otherwise, no regrets!

We have spent 4 nights in Mytra Hotel and have to really recommend this accommodation. The hotel is in a great area, in the walking distance to Sultanahmed Square and many sightseeings (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Tokapi palace and many more), surrounded by many restaurants. We felt really safe. The staff was really helpful, they gave us many good tips and ideas on how to spend our limited time in Istanbul to its fullest.

I spent around 3 hours to choose the right hotel for our stay. Choosing Mytra hotel I was relying on recent feedbacks from other guests. And generally made a right choice. Hotel is situated on the calm street without any bars, night restaurants etc., so you will enjoy your peaceful stay. The view from terrace is perfect. Probably one of the best you can find in the area. Stuff is very friendly and handsome. Service on the high level. Hotel room is cozy and clean. Furniture in bedroom and bathroom is new and modern. Plus for cleaning our room every day. No bad smell from cats (would like to mention it, because in other hotels people complained about it). High recommendation in general, I will definitely come here again.

I would offer to fix safe in cupboard, then it will be more secured from the point of guest. Also will be good to have some international channels on TV (just as an idea, don't know if it is possible).

It’s a wonderful little hotel situated in a very safe zone, surrounded by shops and restaurants and within walking distance of the most popular attractions in Sultanahmet. Also it’s just a short 8 minute walk to the T1 TRAM which can get you across the Golden Horn. The breakfast was very good and diverse enough and came with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus and the Asian side of Istanbul. The staff were very attentive and helpful and the room, although on the smaller side, was very clean and the bed was supremely comfortable. We also had AC and no problems with the hot water or any sewage smell, but we stayed on the 4th floor. We traveled by car and had a parking spot right in front of the hotel in direct sight of their security camera, so that was another plus.

It’s hard to find fault with this wonderful hotel. No complaints from me.

The staff are wonderful, cheerful and always helpful. 😊 The location marvelous. Enjoyed my Breakfast each morning. The Terrace I also went and sat there for 15 minutes in the morning, as the weather permitted.......and the cat were lovely to see outside! 🐾🐾🙂🐈🐈

The side table in my bedroom , beside the bed, was to difficult to open, another plug in the room wound be beneficial too...
