Lovely lodge style accommodation, very comfortable beds, and very nice buffet breakfast with so many options. Nice location overlooking the lake and close to town.

One of the restaurant staff advised that I would be charged for borrowing cutlery for the night. This was maybe assuming as they don't want any outside food in the hotel. We eat very early at night and the restaurant wasn't open in the hotel early so needed to get outside food. I only ended up using one fork and the lady advised there wasn't a charge. I just thought this was a bit strange. But other than that interaction the hotel is perfect.

The room was very clean and had all necessary facilities. The staff are very friendly and breakfast was great. We enjoyed sitting in the communal area playing their chess and the joining firepit hour for a hot drink and pastry! The packed lunch was a great service which we took on our Glacier tour. The restaurant over the road does Argentinian pies and is amazing. It is a steady 15min stroll to the busier area of the centre. All in all El Calafate was our favourite area of Argentina and we wish we spent more time here! We would stay at this hotel again. There is also a crepe cafe tucked away called Viva La Pepa which we highly recommend! Their garden is a fab sun trap.

We booked the tour through our hotel which we found expensive, the glaciar was our favourite part of our trip around Argentina but the information given while driving wasn’t anything we did not already know and when you arrive there you go round the walkways alone - we recommend getting a bus there and walking the walkways yourself. If you want to cruise to the Glacier do this on the North side! Lots of ice falling here!

Staff was great. Many options in the included breakfast, and the hours were generous. Easy walk to local restaurants, a large market and shops. Nice promenade along lake in front of hotel. Excellent restaurant for dinner. Box lunches “to go” also available. Good temperature control using radiator & opening window as needed (in mid-March).

Room was quite small, but comfortable enough. Twin beds also small, but comfortable. Bicycles available for guests at no charge, but were not in good working order.

Wonderful hotel with the absolutely most gracious and kind staff. One of our favorite stays in all of Argentina. Staff helped us with day trip arrangements, restaurant recommendations and also with a minor health issue/doctor consult. Provides an excellent breakfast. And the on-site restaurant is also quite tasty, if you feel like lunching or dining in situ. We liked the hotel so much that we stayed there THREE times as we traveled in and out of Patagonia. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Breakfast was excellent, amazing choice of food. Location was close to town and within walking distance. The restaurant was very good, much better than what you would normally expect from a hotel restaurant. When we arrived we did pay for a larger room with a view.

Air conditioning would have been nice. But I do not think it is typical to have air conditioning in the more remote areas in Argentina.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The transport they arranged was superb with knowledgeable taxi drivers who gave us so many interesting facts and stories. Beautiful room with an amazing view. Location was just right, a couple of blocks from the start of the main strip so not too noisy. Breakfast was delicious

I think they are in the process of upgrading the rooms which are frankly a bit dated. Like the carpet needs to be changed as well as the bathroom fixtures. Still the room was perfectly clean. Spotless!

Dated room. Breakfast was just acceptable. Room was too hot. Had to open the window to cool room which meant hearing road noise. A bit out of town.

The location is great! Room with the lake view and a little inside balcony is also lovely!

The prior communication from the staff that they had an overbooking and thus wanted us to move to the standard room was quite disappointing but in the end it was fine and we stayed in the room that we booked.

The first room we were given was on the ground floor and the floor was heated, which made the room super warm. We tried to cool it off by opening windows but it did not work. Asked for another room and the staff found one! Much better! Thank you!
