It’s a pretty nice property. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I would stay here again.

The receptionist at the front desk was very unfriendly. I would say she is mismatched in her position. Daniello the desk manager is terrific and manages the desk with apblom.  Otherwise, the rest of the staff were really fine .

Unfortunately the Calea Victoriei is used during the night to show off the muscle cars during the night. So there is a lot of noise of roaring motors of overpowered cars. No chance to sleep with open windows, not during the week nor during weekends...

Great location especially on the weekend as the major road to the front becomes pedestrianised. Close to the old town but not in it so avoided the seedier aspects. Cafe tables and a piano on the road made for a lovely vibe. . The shower was good. The rooms were spacious. The hotel has character. Fun gold mirrored lifts with opulent carpets. Breakfast was good and the staff were kind. Aircon was great and very necessary in August. Beds were super comfortable. I would stay here again.

Shower not bath in apartment 414 where the shower had orange staining in the corners. I could hear traffic from the road. 409 had warm rather than hot water. The waiter at dinner objected to us carrying small water bottles. I pointed out that we had come straight in from walking and it was 38 degrees. We had planned to order more water and did so and it was fine but it felt petty and I suppose that we aren't used to being told off publicly these days!

There were cockroaches in our room which is number 110.Although we complained about it to reception, they have not done anything for that.

The hotel is elegant, the staff was polite and friendly, and the food was plenty and tasty. We would like to emphasize that the staff was particularly helpful.

Being situated on a main traffic road, we would have expected the windows to be well isolating. But this was not the case: the windows were not even double, let alone well isolating. As a consequence, the room was noisy day and night. Another point of annoyance was the fact that we were provided with only ONE card for both of us. The card is not only opening the door, it is also setting the elevator in motion and maintaining the function of the electricity in the room. If one of us wanted to get out and the other preferred to stay inside, we could not do so without either one of us taking the stairs--- a sport not appreciated at our age---or the other one staying inside without electricity… and using the bathroom in the dark.

The location of the Capitol Hotel is great, in the old town and handy to all the attractions in that area Breakfast was more than adequate and held in an old-fashioned room that was most interesting John was on reception when we arrived after a long-haul flight and he could see we needed our room sooner rather than later, this was organized even though it wasn't check in time. He was most helpful throughout our stay, and we were most appreciative of this. There is also a cafe attached to the hotel where you can have a meal or just have a drink in

The hotel is really good! We had the luck to have a room in the 5th floor and the view was stunning. The room was very spacious and confortable. The hotel itself was decorated really good for he Cbristmas season. The food was fine. The hotel is pet friendly and it is great that you could bring your dog to the restaurant if it is in it own crate.

It is sometimes hard to find a parking spot if you are with a car. The ventilation in the restaurant needs a check since our clothes had a food smell after the breakfast.

Excellent central location. Nicely decorated. Good selection at breakfast. Some staff very helpful.

Room far too hot even with radiator turned off off, making it unpleasant for sleeping the first night. Had to keep balcony door open so were disturbed by noise from nightclub down road and smell of people smoking outside. We did ask for it to be turned off and this was done. Reception lady was charmless and surly which wasn’t a great welcome.
