I have utilized the Miami International Airport (MIA) hotel before, because I wanted to leverage the hotel's location to the airport, particularly when arriving late to Miami and having an early morning flight. I will admit based on previous visits; I wasn't impressed with the hotel rooms vs. the price that I paid (because the rooms and amenities were dated). However, with this recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the rooms have been renovated with better beds, modern TVs, and better decor. Even though most people visiting an airport hotel don't visit for a long time, you do want to feel comfortable, and I will say that I felt very comfortable with my room and this visit. I may definitely choose to rebook knowing that the rooms have been renovated.

I had no complaints with the room or hotel. I was just a little frustrated that I booked ahead of time and paid 200+ dollars more than several people who booked the day of.

We needed a room in the airport as we had a 9 hour layover. The Miami International Hotel was perfect. We were able to walk from our gate to the hotel in minutes and get to our gate in the morning with no issues.

As other reviewers have commented, the hallways are not very pretty. A little paint and some cheery pictures on the wall would make it less institutional looking. It would also be nice if there was some sort of food options open later in the evening. Our plane was late and we had to get a taxi off site to get dinner.

Price vs. Value: The convenience of the location sometimes comes with a higher price tag, and some guests feel the cost isn't fully justified by the quality of the facilities. 4. Limited Dining Options at Odd Hours: Although the hotel has dining options, some guests find that food options are limited, especially late at night.

The room was clean and comfortable, as you would expect. The location was excellent for people like us using Terminal E.

Only close by the hotel are there signs indicating the presence of a hotel ! Could some signage be placed elsewhere in the Terminals to show the way to the hotel? Some of the staff we asked directions of did not know the hotel existed or if they knew of a hotel, did not know its name. With the coffee machine in the room there was no milk, so all you could use the machine for was black coffee.

Our departing flight was delayed by 1 day, and we were lucky to book a room at the Miami International Airport Hotel. Our room was very clean, with black-out curtains, sound-proof windows and a comfortable bed. This hotel is so convenient! Just leave your arrival gate and it’s a short walk to the hotel, located inside the airport building. We arrived late, and were happy to find a restaurant open so that we could eat something after a day of travel, subsisting on little packets of airline pretzels and cookies. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel costs a lot for what it is, but nothing beats being at the airport! It took me 30 minutes to check in and get to my gate. The bed was comfortable and my room was cozy and quiet. Best of all—they let me check out late so I wasn’t twiddling my thumbs at the gate. Be aware that it’s basic. No refrigerator, low water pressure, and old fixtures. But honestly, hotels in airports are the best idea and that canceled out the lack of luxury.

You simply can't beat the location if you need to be close to the airport - you are literally in the airport! Contrary to some of the online photos and comments, the rooms were completely remodeled and modern. While it may be a bit more expensive than some of the other area hotels, consider the savings in time and money on taxi's, uber, etc. Perfect for a long layover.

The bar and restaurant closed way too early (10pm) for an international airport hotel with flights all night long.

Extremely handy to be in the Airport Terminal for easy access to my connecting flights, especially since my flight arrived late due to several delays.

The TV control in the room was not working and despite two (2) calls to the front desk the promised assistance never arrived. On my previous stay (August 21) my flight to Miami was delayed multiple times. My husband in Jamaica decided to alert them of my late arrival but had to make five (5) international calls before anyone in reception picked up the phone.

Very nice staff. Comfortable bed. Excellent for overnight when your flight is early the next morning. Stayed here many times. Always very good. Gets the job done. If one arrives before 8pm a very good dinner can be had upstairs at the restaurant. Pretty view of runways to watch planes take off and land and watch the sunset too. Very convenient.

It’s so convenient when one is in transit.

The restaurant - it’s completely changed ! Sadly, the Mia restaurant is no longer what at once was. No cloth covered tables, no waiters ready to serve, no glass of water poured as you sit down, no exciting menu with too many good things from which to choose. In stead : plastic tables, bistro style and only 2 harried waiting staff. Poor choice of food… How disappointing
