This hotel truly deserves 5 stars. The customer service is absolutely outstanding – every request, question, or wish is fulfilled instantly, always with a smile and genuine kindness. The staff are friendly, polite, warm, and attentive, going above and beyond to make guests feel cared for. The hotel itself is charming, full of character, and perfectly located. Breakfast is simply divine. The room was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and quite spacious, with an exceptionally cozy bed. There’s also a great bar on-site and a lovely garden to relax in. The city bus stops right outside the door, and there’s a shop nearby. The area is wonderful for walks and exploring. A truly delightful place – I can’t recommend it highly enough!

I have absolutely no complaints.

We've had an amazing stay at Old Aberlady Inn! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm and friendly service. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The ambiance of the hotel is simply stunning—beautifully decorated, cozy, and relaxing. It’s the perfect place to unwind. On top of that, the value for the experience is unbeatable. You get top-notch service and a fantastic atmosphere at a very reasonable price. We can’t wait to come back!

Nothing really, it was all fantastic.

The staff were excellent and friendly and the service well organised and efficient. The breakfast was good and met all our needs. We ate in the Hotel twice once with guests and the food was excellent and very good value for the price.

The only draw back was the parking on the street outside the Hotel which whilst never posing a problem in getting a spot was a bit concerning due to the narrowness of the street and the number of cars, trucks and buses passing. It was possible to park a bit further away at a wider part of the road but this could be busy.

We stayed here for one night on our way back from Bonar Bridge. It was a last minute decision to have a stop over on our way back to Derbyshire. So glad we did it's a great place. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff and we were shown to our room and offered help with our bags. The room was clean and very comfortable with everything you need and more. We hadn't booked for dinner and although they were fully booked they fitted us in and the food was gorgeous with excellent service bearing in mind how busy they were. Breakfast was also gorgeous with quality bacon sausage etc and a wide choice of continental, cereals, fruit, and everything you expect from a good buffet breakfast BUT all served freshly to order to your table and it was absolutely fantastic. Overall a lovely little hotel with lovely rooms, lovely staff, lovely food and a lovely atmosphere. The only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't stay longer👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰

Aberlady is a beautiful coastal place with amazing views & walks. We were there only for a few days but loved the scenery we saw on our drives & walks. The Inn is a beautiful building, renovated with all that you need to make your stay comfortable We had a family room with en-suite - super clean, comfy beds, pristine sheets. We had lovely food for breakfast, all the usual options of cooked breakfasts. Served quickly & efficiently. Again everything was clean & comfortable. The best thing about Aberlady Inn is the staff. They are all so warm & friendly and they took such great care to make our stay feel perfect. Highly recommend!

For golfing, a perfect location. An older building but very comfortable. Coffee, tea, water and cookies in the room was a nice feature. Parking on the street was easy but things were very narrow with the traffic. The noise from the traffic was much less at night. The personnel was very helpful and friendly. Excellent food in their restaurant where I was on four evenings. A very generous breakfast taken to order.

My room was on the street in front of the hotel, so there was traffic noise which fortunately much less at night. It took me a while to figure out how to get the shower to work, but I figured it out. I should have just asked the staff.

We liked the homely feel of the pub & the location was good for the Scottish Open golf. We got the local bus which was regular & convenient. The food was good quality too

Our twin room was on the small side but was adequate for 2 nights. We would have liked a larger room & especially if staying longer than a weekend.

Warm welcome, excellent hospitality. Food at breakfast and dinner were excellent. The Inn is an excellent base for golfers exploring East Lothian. A few minutes from Kilspindie and Gullane, and about 15 minutes from North Berwick. The train to Edinburgh is nearby (five minutes drive with good parking) at Longniddry (only 19 minutes to the City). On top of all this, an excellent value.

Not a negative, since it's well disclosed, but the parking is street parking. We had no difficulty finding a spot on the safe high street. Most times within 100 feet of the front door of the Inn.

the location was great so close to the sea.food very tasty and seemed freshly prepared and a good choice.the inclusive breakfast was generous and again good quality.very dog friendly-homely atmosphere.

just small things we would have appreciated a bigger bed -it's always harder to sleep in a double when your used to a king size!.the room was quite draughty and hard to warm up but the staff immediately supplied a heater when we mentioned it and it was December.

From start to finish the staff could not do enough to help us, they were extremely welcoming and accommodating to our needs. The inn itself is lovely, and the food was superb. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was great too, all in all we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again. The location is great too in a picturesque little village. 5 stars! Thank you so much to the team for all your hard work.
