We love everything about the Nether Abbey! Great location as only a short walk to the beach and centre. Loved all the New Year celebrations and we were made to feel very welcome and very well looked after! Food was excellent and great choice. Rooms very comfortable and spacious and spotless as was the rest of the hotel.

We were met with a friendly welcoming.The bedroom was very comfortable with a lovely view of the sea, it also provided tea and coffee making facilities which is good.We opted to have an evening meal in the hotel and it was delicious so would recommend trying if you are staying here.The breakfast options are excellent something to suit everyone and cooked to perfection.It is within easy walking distance to the centre of town with a walk along the beach with beautiful views of the bass rock.We will definitely return to this hotel when next visiting North Berwick.

There was nothing we didn't like as we found everything to our liking.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Hotel modern and well decorated. Parking at the door was a welcome bonus. The room was clean and very roomy. Our bed was comfortable and clean. Cocktails at the bar were lovely, and the service was very professional. We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel but did have breakfast, which was cooked to a high standard and tasted delicious. Would definitely return for another stay. North Berwick is a lovely town.

The step going into our room, which could probably do with a warning sign for the way out as I fell out the door every time!. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the corridor, which is possibly another guest and not the hotels fault. The heater in the room needs looked at as the 'ticking' sound woke me at 3am and kept me awake.

Delicious breakfast, lovely helpful staff. Excellent customer and cleaning service. Nice, quiet hotel. The rooms on the 1 st floor were comfortable ,clean and spacious. We had an opportunity to "inspect" two rooms, as were firstly allocated the room at the front of the hotel. Thus, as we wanted a room with a sea view , we have asked to have it changed and it was organised within 5 minutes. Thank you Nether Abbey for making our stay so pleasant.

It would be beneficial to have an opportunity for choosing rooms with different views once booking online.

Fantastic from start to finish, we stayed for 3 nights after only booking for 2. Staff so friendly and welcoming, room (Room 1) was spotless with plenty of space and views towards sea. We travelled with our Collie dog who made friends with everybody, he has a new favourite place to stay! Breakfasts all great quality and choice. We had one evening meal on arrival day which was equally as good, a popular restaurant, which speaks for itself, but nice low key atmosphere with attentive staff. A few minutes walk to get to the beach and easy walks into town and harbourside.

Very clean - excellent facilities (especially in bedroom) - Central Location - 5 min walk to sea front and all local amenities- set in a quiet neighbourhood ( no noise ) - reasonably priced restaurant with good menu. Staff very helpful and kind. Adequate car parking.

It’s a small town and although the whole town is fairly quiet the hotel was on a main road - Granted it wasn’t a very busy road and I don’t recall any noise from traffic during my stay. Just a note to be mindful if you have young children with you on your stay.

The staff were fantastic . The hotel was lovely . The room was super .

The food was not good . We had the Sunday Roast ( at 5pm ) , it had obviously been plated up earlier and just reheated . The meat was awful, chewy and covered in some type of sticky sauce certainly not gravy , the cauliflower cheese was congealed and lukewarm , all the other veggies were also poor , but probably nice when fresh …. Breakfast was also disappointing , Luke warm porridge, rubbery egg , over cooked bacon .

The hotel was very nice, location was excellent, just a short walk to the beach, the breakfast was excellent and very filling. We asked for a double bed and it was super comfy. The staff we spoke with were all very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good break.

There was a drip from the washbasin in the room when the tap was turned on, other than that no complaints.

A lovely old hotel. Big old house with high ceilings and elegant rooms but also modernised with home comforts and a tasteful extension. Staff were all really pleasant. The breakfast was very well organised - order the night before- and served very well. Station is less than 5 minutes walk way - ideal for a trip to Edinburgh which is a 30 minute journey.

the hotel was lovely, very comfortable and in a great location. The staff could not have been better from the owner to the table waiting staff. We will definitely try and come back.

We were on the top floor and the stairs were a bit of a strain for my wife who had recently had a knee replacement. WE didn't mention this to the management but I feel if we had they would have accommodated us.
