Lovely spacious room with a very comfortable bed and very good shower. Breakfast freshly prepared each morning starting with fruit salad, cereal and then a cooked Scottish breakfast with plenty to choose from. Great Wi-Fi signal throughout. Bailey the dog was always there with a warm welcome anytime we entered the property. Heather is a wonderful and friendly host.

Lovely, warm welcome for our very short notice booking. Room was immaculate, everything you'd need, plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit and yoghurt, cereal, croissant and cooked to order fry up too, with as much tea, coffee and orange juice as one could drink!

Heather was a fantastic host and very sociable, as was Bailey (pooch) - both very welcoming. Heather was also very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and suggested many places to visit during our short stay :) Good variety of local shops close by (literally next door!), and places to eat.

The beds were really comfortable. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated. The facilities are first class and the host is superb. It has everything you need and more. The breakfast was excellent. You are well looked after and nothing is too much trouble

The location is perfect for any of the golf courses there; we only played Muirfield but we'd definitely come back to play the others. The rooms were easily big enough for a few nights stay and were warm and comfortable and the showers were good. The breakfast in the morning was great and there were plenty of options. When we arrived we had a warm welcome and after we got back after a meal and some beers, Heather was happy to sit down and listen to us talk a load of nonsense for a few hours.

I can't think of anything that could have been better!

Everything was great! The host Heather was very welcoming and accommodating. We were arriving late (by 4 hours, whoops) and she still was very welcoming. The room was great- lovely interior, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was stunning. Breakfast was delicious- good quality food and coffee. The area is lovely (Gullane is home of the Scottish Open)

I'm being pedantic here... Our room was the closest to the kitchen area and after around 7.45am-8am we could head the other guests having breakfast. It wasn't loud, but we could hear some of the conversations. With the 10 am check-out time this wasn't a big problem. I am quite sensitive to cold damp air and Gullane is a coastal town. Our room was quite warm and at first I was reasonably comfortable but I could feel the draft during the night. On arrival, Heather did ask me if it was warm enough and I just didn't know at the time, so I guess there would be options had I asked earlier.

We had such a great time at Maple Cottage in Gullane! Heather was an incredibly lovely and welcoming host, who we had great chats with over tea and biscuits. The room was a great size and the bed was MASSIVE and super comfortable. Great shower too. The B&B is also in an amazing location. You can get to all the key walks, beach and pubs very quickly. You can also park in the drive if there's space which was brilliant.

The hostess Heather very friendly and entertaining and answered all our annoying questions with great Scottish humor. Private en suite and a FABULOUS well behaved dog.

The location was perfect for the golf courses, the beautiful coastline and visiting beautiful place such as North Berwick. We only stayed for three nights but could have done with staying longer. Heather was the perfect host, very welcoming and extremely friendly. Her local knowledge was fantastic and she would help to sort out anything we needed.
