Location of Bonnie Badger was excellent, staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Both dinner and breakfastw ere superb, so well presented and very tasty. We liked the little extras, we had a drink, cookies and pillow sleep spray put outside our door in the evening and then on checking out we were given 2 bottles of water and some cookies to take with us -a lovely touch. The toiletries in the bathroom were wonderful.

Our room was very warm, we had to jam the window open with a cushion - this let a little air in but also flies!

Food was amazing and although the room was small if was very nice.

The service from the staff out in the garden, we were 40mins to get out first drink this was after asking staff members twice. We then had to ask the chef to get someone to serve us. The bottle of champagne came in a cooler filled with water and no towel to dry off the bottle not what I'd expect for a £120 bottle, these are small issues and it did not spoil our night away for my wife's birthday.

The hotel was beautiful with lots of amenities. An arrival and departure refreshment/snack was a lovely added touch. The hotel is clean and cosy. The restaurant is wonderful and the food and service were great. The town is quaint and very quiet at night. We would love to stay again.

The only fault was there were a few bugs on the ceiling in our room, I think this was due to the windows being left open before our arrival, but it didn’t affect our stay at all.

Have stayed before, love the building, rooms and the staff are really welcoming

Not so much a dislike but disappointed with the menu (different to the one currently on the website) We were only 2 in the restaurant on first night and the food was warm not hot. There was an overpowering smoked element on my pork dish which spoiled it for me (I hate anything smoked) The coffee ordered in the bar wasn’t hot, they remade it but said we should ask for it extra hot is we wanted it hot??? We ate from the bar menu the next night which was good

We recently stayed at the Bonnie Badger in Gullane during our golf trip, and it exceeded all our expectations. The staff’s special attention to guests is outstanding. We loved the daily cookie and lemonade delivered to our room every afternoon. They also consistently remembered my spouse’s vegan diet at the continental breakfast, ensuring a delightful start to each day. The friendly bartenders made our evenings enjoyable, and the thoughtful parting gift at checkout was a wonderful touch. Highly recommend this charming hotel for an exceptional stay!

We were made very welcome at The Bonnie Badger by all the staff who were very friendly. The room was beautifully clean - gorgeous bath! We travelled with our dog and she was also made very welcome - a bed and bowl were provided. We were absolutely delighted that Maisie was also welcome in the Stable Restaurant as we had thought we may only be able to eat in the Bar area. The food was exquisite for both of our evening meals - the breakfast was high quality. It was lovely to have the jars with the fresh fruit and the special apple, yoghurt and home-made granola - this all made such a welcome change to the usual breakfast buffet approach of other hotels. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - whilst it was busy, we still felt it was peaceful and private. Thank you to everyone at the Bonnie Badger.

Lovely small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, fabulous decor with a homely feel and the evening meal in the Stables restaurant was fantastic, the trout starter was a work of art on the plate and so delicious. The homemade biscuits and lemonade received at bedtime was a very pleasant touch as well as the water and biscuits on departure. Very comfy bed, wallpaper fab, shower room was small, really liked the information card of area.

THE ATTITUDE, IT IS ALL ABOUT THE LITTLE THINGS. THE ATTENTION TO DETAILS AND THE LITTLE EXTRAS, NIGHT TIME DRINKS AND PILLOW SPRAY, HOMEMADE COOKIES AND WATERS FOR OUTINGS.... THE STAFF ARE AMAZING NOTHING IS A PROBLEM AND THEY GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO MAKE YOUR STAY MEMORABLE AND PLEASANT. FOOD WAS FABULOUS !

ROOMS AREN'T HUGE BUT COMFORTABLE AND WELL THOUGHT THROUGH. THE FIRST ROOM WE WERE ASSIGNED HAD NO VIEW AND WAS TINY, IT DIDN'T REALLY BELONG IN THE CATEGORY WE PAID FOR HOWEVER THEY FOUND US A MORE SUITABLE ROOM IMMEDIATELY WHICH WAS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

Loved all the different areas. Outside BBQ and bar. Restaurant was one of the best I have been to in a hotel and served amazing quality fresh food. The room was also in separate buildings at the back of the hotel which made if feel very private.

The walls were a little thin and we could hear the people staying next to us

India was incredibly helpful and accommodating.She is the best person in the place! Was a bit noisy as staff moving tables late into the night after a quiz Breakfast average and member of staff on duty bit brusque and obviously wanted us out wll before finishing time of breakfast Coffee not worthy of tom kitchen standards in our opinion
