The Location is spectacular and the hotel is in a very peaceful location. The staff are lovely and helpful too, and there is a bar and a restaurant at the hotel that serves flavoursome home-cooked style food. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Free and ample parking is also available at this hotel, which was appreciated. Its a golf course hotel, so its very much geared to golfers needs, understandably! The Golf Course by the way is stunning!

The bed was uncomfortable and so unfortunately I didn't have a very good night's sleep. I also missed breakfast which was part of the price. I didn't realise it ended at 9.30 am as departure was 10.30 am (noone told us). The first time we stayed here, two years ago, I recall the bed being much more comfortable than it was this time, though we did pay for a superior room on that occasion. I also thought the room (we got the last room) was on the expensive side (well over $400 AUD) for the night in lieu of the overalll quality of accommodation and facilities.

The location was fantastic with a view from our room across the Firth of Forth. Rooms were well appointed with a great shower and large, possibly queen sized bed. The room was warm and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great with a choice of a continental option or a full cooked breakfast. The service from the staff was top notch with Jennifer greeting us at the main reception on arrival and Josh attending to us within the bar and Suzanne getting us a good evening meal before our concert. The morning staff, who unfortunately I didn't get any names, served us a great breakfast and kept us supplied with tea.

The heating was on all night and we opened the windows for some fresh air, but this did not spoil a great night we had at the Lodge.

The view of the coast is amazing. Scottish winter morning light creates amazing hues of colour and luminescence. It’s fresh new and decorated with golf humour. The staff were excellent, really committed to ensuring you had what you needed and wanted, they couldn’t do enough for you. Shower super, lovely warm and soft towels.

The breakfast did not live up to the food reputation of the club (evening food that we had was good). It was OK, eggs replaced/topped up regularly so not over cooked but the sausages were solid and mushrooms a wee bit tough. Room a bit ‘beige’ for me.

Good location for all the golf courses in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The rooms were a good size and the bathroom was clean and modern. Would stop again.

Beds were very soft. Personally I prefer a firm bed. We had an early start so when breakfast opens at 7.30 I do expect everything to be ready. Eggs and water didn't appear until 7.45am. For the first two days we were served breakfast at the table and the food was warm and spot on. Last day it was a buffet and we were down early and some of the food was luke warm.

The Lodge at Craigielaw is located in a beautiful setting. It is spotlessly clean - The Housekeeping Team are very efficient. Staff are most friendly, helpful and welcoming - from Receptionists to Bar & Restaurant Staff and Housekeeping - nothing was too much trouble!. The room was stylish with tweed accents, very clean, airy, comfortable and had everything you needed for a stay. The Restaurant menu was excellent with a good choice and not overpriced - The food was most delicious - Breakfast was more than adequate and served in a pleasant room overlooking the courtyard. I really enjoyed my relaxing break and I very much look forward to returning again soon.

There is nothing not to like about The Lodge at Craigielaw, other than I didn't like leaving! Wished I could have stayed a little longer!! :)

This lovely hotel was set on the gorgeous coast which was a joy to drive up to. Just 30 - 40 minutes from Edinburgh’s park and ride, this was definitely a great place for us. The room was comfortable, well equipped and clean. The price was so incredibly reasonable considering the event happening and a breath of fresh air compared to the jacked up prices around the city. The standout for us though was the lovely staff. They made us feel so welcome as we came up to Edinburgh for the Taylor Swift concert. were not only polite and helpful, but made us feel so comfortable celebrating our joy. From offering us bottled water when we returned back at 1am to playing Taylor at breakfast time to help with our post concert blues, we cannot thank them enough for their hospitality. We can admit we’re not the usual clientele but this did not matter in the slightest. Thank you for contributing to an amazing memory!

Everyone at The Lodge were so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable; it even had its own Nespresso machine. The breakfast buffet was a highlight of the stay and I enjoyed looking out over two beautiful golf courses every morning while eating breakfast. Finally, the location was perfect for me to access all of the fine golf courses in the area, with only a few minutes drive to Gullane and North Berwick. I will definitely stay at The Lodge again.

love the location, our second time here for a family reunion. staff are fantastic, ones that really stood out Tony who was such a great help all weekend, nothing was too much and Josh, great upbeat very accommodating and full of useful information, really a true credit to Craigylaw. Michael, we remember from our previous stay always incredibly helpful, very funny and entertaining.

thought scallops was a poor choice for such a large party sitting down at once, there was 27 of us and the scallops was the only thing I could fault.

The entrance foyer needs a revamp. Very tired looking We didn’t come to play golf, we travelled from Australia to see the golf coast, First impressions were “what have we done” not helped by our initial room so far away with a non working lift. Be careful which room you choose, the garden rooms look at a wall. We negotiated our way to a golf view room at extra fee, the rest was wonderful.

Lovely location with views of coast. Good breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful coastline to explore. Near to lovely villages with good pubs and Cafes.

The double bed was 2 singles pushed together. It was not very comfortable for a couple. All rooms are shower only with no baths in the hotel. These small gripes may not bother some guests.
