This is an absolutely wonderful B&B in a beautiful area of Scotland right on the river Dee. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The facility is very nice, scenic, relaxing, and well-appointed. Plenty of safe parking. Now to the best part. The hosts, Joyce and Garry, are amazing. Joyce is extremely friendly and helpful, and seeking to please and meet any need or request. Garry was a bit less present but did an amazing job in the kitchen and in preparing delicious jams and preserves. All things considered, this was probably our all time favorite B&B experience anywhere.

What a fantastic guest house , absolutely stunning !! Beautifully decorated . Made to feel really special . Everything was top notch. Gary and Joyce the most wonderful hosts , nothing too much trouble and lots of little extras , ( ie tea and cake on arrival served in beautiful china ) home made flap jacks in bedroom . the grounds and views were stunning . Breakfasts was just simply divine , and served with real class and style .

This is an exceptional country house hotel. Joyce and Garry are wonderful hosts who immediately make you feel very much at home, tending to your every need in a super friendly and efficient way. The breakfast is second to none, the bedrooms and downstairs guest areas are beautiful and very stylish. The views over the river Dee and towards the Cairngorms are stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay.

The breakfast was excellent with fresh locally sourced food. Prepared to order. Beautiful tranquil setting, the guest lounge and dining room and conservatory, terrace and garden overlooking the River Dee. Just lovely. Pretty river walk to the Boat Inn for dinner. Tea and homemade cake a lovely touch on arrival. Room very clean, comfortable and bright with a fabulous bathroom with Arran aromatics toiletries. Very welcoming hosts who are from the local area.

An absolute gem, we travel extensively and this is the best B&B we have stayed in anywhere. Joyce and Garry are exceptional hosts, friendly, knowledgeable, flexible and very welcoming. We had a large comfortable room with a balcony and views over the river Dee & beyond. The breakfasts are well-cooked, beautifully presented, very tasty and there is a great choice - we loved the vegetarian haggis and Garry's award winning marmalade's. Its an ideal location for a huge number of walks, visiting Balmoral or walking into town where there is a good pub( basic but good food) or an Indian restaurant. There are some lovely touches too - chocolates in your room, honestly bar where you can enjoy a drink on the pretty terrace, bathrobes and fresh flowers throughout the main areas. Its more than a B&B Joyce and Garry share their beautiful home which is delightful. We look forward to our next visit.

We really can't think of anything we had a fabulous stay

Location was lovely with a great view from our room. The breakfast selection was delicious with lots to choose from and surprising local delicacies to try The owners were welcoming friendly and full of information about the house a surrounding area Our welcome included tea, coffee and cake. Also had a well stocked honesty bar. The bed was very comfortable and big with great quality bedding The refreshments tray had lots of teas to choose from with hot chocolate and good coffee for the cafetière. Fresh milk too The bathroom was well stocked with luxury toiletries and fluffy towels Overall our stay was very comfortable and exciting with the possibility of seeing a resident red squirrel. We saw deer geese and red kites roaming in the fields from our window seat during breakfast We certainly hope to stay again when next in the area Big thank you to Gary & Joyce for their hospitality

Garry and Joyce demonstrated that they really cared about our happiness and comfort by being excellent, on-hand hosts the entire time. Having tea and cake on arrival was a lovely way to welcome us. We were offered fresh milk for the tea and coffee facilities in our room, and they booked us dinner at a local restaurant, the Boat Inn, which was also excellent. The home is surrounded by beautiful woodland walks and has fab views. The room was great, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast the next morning was wonderful, with freshly made bread and incredible homemade jams and marmalades, as well as a fantastic cooked breakfast. Even when we checked out, Joyce was there to say goodbye and warmly wish us back again in the future. I wanted to stay longer!

Absolutely nothing. I want to come back as a little retreat!

This is a beautiful home in a gorgeous location. Joyce and Gary are the most gracious hosts and you feel like pampered guests in their home - because you are! Elegant yet relaxed. Delicious breakfasts in the dining room and tea and cake every afternoon in the drawing room. Beautiful view of the River Dee right in their back garden. Loved having their fish & plowmans boards for supper one evening. Can't say enough good things. Loved every moment.

The might’ve been the best place we’ve ever stayed in. It was plain superb! Joyce and Gerry are amazing hosts, so thoughtful with absolutely everything. You get tea and cake every afternoon in the guest lounge which also features a working fireplace (it was quite cold while we stayed here) and an honest bar. The garden looked lovely, but it was too cold to use it. The room was great with so many lovely details and little touches (for example the complimentary box of exquisite chocolates). The breakfast was maybe the best we’ve ever had, all sourced locally and incredibly delicious! We hope to return soon!

It was all perfect!

We had a peaceful 2 nights stay at the lovely home of Joyce & Garry, we enjoyed a lot the delicious breakfast they provide us. The beautiful garden with river sound and view were relaxing. We very much appreciated the confortable bedding. Good advice from our hosts to walk to Loch Muick circuit where we met stags closely. Our hosts were very careful, we recommand warmly a stay with them.
