The welcome on a busy Saturday evening wasn't great, including not being offered the wifi password. The atmosphere improved during the week, so that by midweek I was fully settled in. Single room was modern, spacious enough (bathroom particularly so) and very clean. Bed not very supportive, but acceptable. Evening meals good (kitchen not open on Tuesday). Not wanting a full breakfast, at a significant cost, I found that there were good cafes on the High Street, one in poarticular open from 7am, which provided a simpler breakfast at a reasonable price.

Single room faced onto main road, with normal early commercial traffic. Acceptable unless very sensitive to noise if too warm to close window. Bedlight not really bright enough to read comfortably. TV reception patchy (Sunday night - Euro Womens Football Final).

Hotel Ideal. Brilliant Staff. Lovely Breakfasts. The bed was comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was good. Maybe a little dated, but let's face it, it's a 3-star hotel that makes you very welcoming. I would definitely recommend it. Graham, the breakfast server was great, and he was willing to help out if you needed anything. After reading some of the negative reviews prior to going, we were a little dubious about the place. But believe me, the negative reviews IMHO are incorrect. We arrived later than expected, on Friday evening,8pm, and thankfully, the restaurant was still open till 9pm, so we managed to get a meal. We decided to have it in the bar where there was live music on, and the atmosphere was brilliant. We'll be back

I have stayed here before. Decent price and the room was spacious, comfortable and quiet (at the back of the hotel not facing the main road), good pub food and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Absolutely central and ideal for exploring Banchory. Shops, other pubs/hotels, restaurants, cafes and one supermarket within a very short walking distance which was most convenient. Maybe not the most modern of showers (combined shower/bath) and the water pressure was low, but it was okay for me. I will be booking again because I am a regular visitor to Banchory.

We stayed at the Burnett Arms a year previously, so knew what to expect. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant/bar provided a good evening meal. Breakfast was substantial and good.

This time there appeared to be a major difficulty with the hotel internet. This resulted in the hotel car park company attempting to charge us a fine for the free parking. Hopefully this is now resolved, but it has taken a time.

Friendly staff and good value for money

CAR PARKING - THERE IS A CONVENIENT CAR PARK AT THE REAR OF THE HOTEL. WE STAYED 2 NIGHTS AND AS INSTRUCTED REGISTERED OUR CAR ON ARRIVAL ON BOTH DAYS. DESPITE THIS I HAVE RECEIVED A FINE OF £100 AND SO FAR I HAVE NOT HEARD ABOUT MY APPEAL. IF YOU WANT TO PARK - AND IT IS CONVENIENT - DONT PARK AT THE REAR OF THE HOTEL. THE HOTEL SAYS IT IS INVESTIGATING BUT I HAVE HEARD NOTHING.

Our room was clean, a good size and very comfortable. It looked like it had been refurbished recently The en-suite wet room was lovely with a nice shower The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful - great customer service. The food was really excellent (a lovely bar supper and a great full Scottish breakfast) and good value for money

The decor in the public areas was a bit jaded, but this was the only thing I would mark the hotel down for. However, this didn't spoil our stay in any way.

Breakfast was tasty and very good value if you want a cooked meal. Our mattress was very comfortable. Location on the high street was good for us as we did not have a car. Our room faced the main road and we had expected to have to put up with some noise from the street but it was remarkably quiet - of people and traffic. En-suite was clean and shower worked well. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The same member of staff gave us good advice about using the bus to get to the airport as well as very pleasant service at breakfast. Quite late at night one of the bar staff made us three hot chocolates despite a busy night at the bar. As we were there for a family gathering - a sister lived locally - we did not eat at the hotel other than breakfast.

The hotel and rooms are rustic and as expected.of a building built in the 1800s tidy and clean The bar staff remembered our drinks after the first one ordered and the bar was well stocked The breakfasts were very substantial and kept us going for most of the day And 100% goes to the front desk reception and also waiter at breakfast and valet who carried my bag up the 3 floors GRAHAM you made our visit very memorable It's not the Ritz but it's homely comfortable and welcoming Highly recommended 👌

The room was spacious, with a very large bathroom, and the bed was big and comfortable. They also allowed me to check in early to get to the wedding I was staying for, which was very much appreciated. Thank you for a brilliant stay!

The shower ran more cold than warm having tried so many different settings both the night before and the next morning, the most I could get was close to warm. The metal holders in the shower were also a wee bit dirty. I would still highly recommend this hotel… these are easy fixes. I would also stay here again.

The location, people very friendly and helpful. It was so very close to our church for our family wedding. 5 minutes to walk. Just perfect for us and on the bus route also, which we used when we left. The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. Very pleased.

There was a problem with the hot water. We reported it and the man incharge said it would be sorted. He was very helpful.
