We loved the history and character of the hotel and the location was handy for most things. A real treat.

There are a few upgrades needed now - some stuff looked tired but not a deal breaker. Small changes would make a big difference. It was lovely to have the pool and spa area available. I had a treatment and the staff were great. A real added bonus. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly.

Beautiful setting - gorgeous scenery and even some highland cows in the grounds! It’s very grand and old school - lots of dark wood and stained glass. Fabulous! The breakfast was delicious. The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond, booking taxis for us and replacing a broken iron in our room immediately with a brand new one.

Some of the bits in the room were a bit broken - the bathroom door handle was wonky and we couldn’t work out how to turn the fan off in the bathroom but these are very minor issues!

The property has real character....a Victorian baronial style mansion.....much extended. If you like architecture and atmosphere then you will love Ardoe House. For that final touch, there is a resident ghost! Our room, in the modern extension, was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The food, both at breakfast and dinner was very good indeed and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall we had excellent service and a great experience. The location of Ardoe House is ideal for exploring Aberdeenshire.

Room was lovely, nice big bed with clean bedding. Great having the coffee machine and little snacks are a nice touch. Breakfast was good, amazing poached eggs cooked to order and done properly, plenty choice at the buffet selection.

Window was open when arrived, so room was very cold, had to put the heater on full to warm it up. Didn't like the interconnecting room, the door can be locked from your side and then theres a second door into the next room so its secure but it seems to let quite a lot of noise through. The room next to us had their tv on far too loud so did keep us awake, I like quietness to go to sleep. Could also hear their conversations etc- not sure if they were just very loud people or the walls are thin/ door let noise through.

We stayed at Ardoe House Hotel & Spa for one night on a road trip and absolutely loved it. The hotel is stunning — full of character and charm, with gorgeous grounds that feel peaceful and secluded, yet it’s only a few minutes from Aberdeen. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice and friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Everyone we met went out of their way to make our stay relaxing and memorable. Ardoe House is the perfect mix of old-world elegance and modern comfort. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back, but it will be a longer stay next time.

Location waa excellent, the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent, highly recommend the Burgers, Indian Salad, Ceasar Salad was huge, breakfast was really good value. Children loved their traditional fairytale experience of Scotland. Rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable. We will definitely be coming again.

I dont really want to be picky, however filter coffee at breakfast rather than the machine would have made a huge difference, oat milk or soya options also. The pool was cut into far too many sections for its size, making the family section a little small. However the overall stay was excellent

The room was spacious and clean, and the shower was powerful and hot no matter what time of day it was used. Use of the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gymnasium all included in the room price. Great to get in from work and have 20 minutes in the sauna or steam room to unwind. Bar prices were reasonable, and the food was very nice (I highly recommend the Gamekeepers Linguine). Will definitely be stopping here again when next working in the area.

If I was being really picky, a couple of areas could do with a paint touchup. But, it's a busy working hotel so you can expect the odd bump and scrape here and there. In no way would this deter us from staying again.

The public rooms in the main building are from a lovely old manor house, with the bedrooms in a more modern extension. Our room was very comfortable and had been recently refurbished. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of tables available and a good variety of hot and cold food. Spa was very good - again recently refurbished. My wife and I ate in the bar a couple of times - good food and friendly bar staff.

The view from our room simply looked at a rising grass bank. Not bad, just so so! The expression - you get what you pay for - is probably appropriate!

I was truly enchanted by the property, steeped in rich history and brimming with life during my stay, which included two beautiful weddings and a delightful birthday celebration. The grounds are absolutely stunning, offering the chance to spot native Scottish deer. The attentive staff were always available to assist with any needs, and I was blown away by the exquisite dining experience—every meal, from the hearty breakfast to the delectable buckwheat salad and heavenly desserts, was nothing short of five-star quality! I also treated myself to a rejuvenating seaweed-hot massage that provided the perfect retreat for my mind and body. The incredibly comfortable bed ensured I enjoyed restful nights. I wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional place for any occasion, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Amazing property, we say deers running in the evening, sheeps and coos. Rooms were modern and clean, breakfast was diverse and very good. Elegant and remarkable, the receptions the staircase, the restaurants and the bar area are all exceptional, made us feel as if we stayed at Balmoral Castle, which somehow is true, since the construction of Ardoe House iwas inspired by the scottish baronial style of Balmoral Castle. PS: they have reopened the pool and spa area, we have not used them but looked very nice
