It is a nice place with it's charm - we looked for a place to sleep on the outskirts of Aberdeen, with parking and breakfast, and this one was a perfect fit. I would take it again for the same purpose. Parking was easy and fuel station is just across the road. Place has a nice dining area, and I liked breakfasts. Avocado toast tasted like fire (they added too many spices) so ask to make it pepper-free if you choose it. My husband chose a mix from what they've got on a breakfast menu and looked pretty happy)) Buns and coffee were lovely. Room had a proper desk - it was really good as I had to do some work in the morning.

It was not really a problem, yet probably worth mentioning. We asked for a room for 2, and got only one set of towels (even when we asked for the second one, they forgot to bring it..) There were also dusty bedside cupboards, leaky tap, and there was just one properly accessible power outlet, but this all was really okay for the balance of the charm and price. Still would choose it again)

The staff. The staff were ever friendly. I travelled alone and had been unwell and someone come to check on me when they noticed I hadn’t been for a meal. I’ve stayed in this property 3 times over the last 18 months each time for a week. The location is ideal. The car park is always got plenty space. The room size is ideal for a single person. The heating could be managed in the room which is ideal I could adjust. The bathroom had soaps and shampoos. There was a hairdryer. The bed was SO comfy. The wardrobe was sufficient for one person but if two people staying per week might not be. The food was incredible. The food was well priced. The general hotel decoration was lovely.

Ideally all the rooms could have better lighting. I’ve stayed in three different rooms and the lighting annoyed me a bit. I would suggest raising the lampshade on the ceiling and removing the cover? This would make the room brighter. The rooms were cleaned regularly which is fantastic however and this is a very small criticism. On one of my stays quite early in the morning I couldn’t rest because some of the staff were talking in the hall quite loudly and for a period of time.

Location was good for us and the bed was comfy

We chose to have breakfast in the morning and oh my it was a disaster the cheapest of food I was nearly sick i chose the full breakfast I asked 8f the food was cooked tk order or picked from a hot plate they said it was all cooked to order I think they get there from from farm foods discount section or something the bacon was dry and like rubber and I took 1 bite from the sliced sausage and I had to spit it out it tasted the the smell of dog food I have never had a breakfast that looked or tasted so bad and I stay in a lot of hotels. I may stay here again as room was OK but I'll definitely not be ordering any food.

For the price we paid this hotel was exceptional . The staff were very pleasant on arrival , the room was more than big enough for us , your only in it to sleep . The breakfast in the morning was way way better than expected . I will def stay here again . It’s 5mins off the motorway , no need to hit the city centre and public transport is available for travelling around . It’s ideal for us and our needs .

There was nothing we didn’t like

I stayed here for work and had everything I needed: convenient parking and a comfortably sized room. The breakfast was excellent and thoughtfully prepared. I also dined at the restaurant in the evenings, and the meals were equally outstanding.

The only downside was the limited number of TV channels available. The TV needed retuning, but access was required to do so.

I called it a happy ship, and it was from the manager Michael, to the chap behind the bar who had our drinks ready before said anything to the cleaning ladies we met every morning in the corridor, Looking for another reason why I should be in Aberdeen so we can repeat the experience,

Good all round one stop shop. Simple Accommodation, Food, Drink, Pool table, music, sport. All on the one level. No broken lifts or stairs to contend with. Good value for money. Friendly Staff.

With the bedroom blind up the room doesn’t seem very private as staff walking by can look in. Fajita chicken was over cooked like rubber. Tattie Scone was burnt

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Food was fantastic, bed was comfortable and I could sleep even with my bad back. Would definitely stay again should we travel here again.

Would have liked an extra towel - we didn’t ask due to the busyness of our trip. I’m positive we would have been accommodated if we had asked.

We stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting family who lived nearby. The hotel and bar itself was great. Rooms are simple but somewhere to hang clothes, a tv on the wall, and a great shower- what isn't to love. Our room only had 1 sachet of decaf coffee but we didn't ask for anymore so I can't complain about that. The coffee from the bar was beautiful and we decided to just treat ourselves to a nice coffee in the morning.

Free upgrade to King on arrival. Bed massive and comfy. Room decent size but tired...needs a lick of paint. Shower hot and powerful but shower head height could not be adjusted....broken height adjuster. Very quiet room. Food next morning was lovely. So all in all 90% positive.....seems such a shame that so many hotels do not pay attention to the small details.
