From the time I walked in until the time I walked out, nothing but smiles on the staff's faces. Not often do you find a place that makes you feel like home isn't so far away. Simple courteousness goes a long way for many of us traveling for business. I appreciated that during my stay. It was also a perfect halfway point between the central area where the nightlife is and the office. The facilities were very clean during my stay. Even with the ongoing renovations, it was well maintained. Can't wait to visit again once that is completed. The room was way bigger than I'd anticipated. Breakfast was amazing and the value was unbeatable. I will book the Ferryhill every single time I am visiting.

Due to the renovations, the wifi was a little spotty. Which wasn't a deal breaker for me in any major way.

Our spacious room at Ferry Hill House was beautiful, with a large turret/bay window with velvet floor to ceiling black out drapes and picturesque view of the front and garden/beer garden entertaining space. The multi sliding mirrored closet doors contained a closet, fridge and coffee/tea, bar. The bed was comfortable and the washroom was bright and very clean as was the whole room. We enjoyed two hearty, made to order breakfasts and a delicious dinner in the restaurant and pub, good service and excellent food! All staff were friendly and attentive.

The only thing I would have liked was a sheer panel of curtains on the window so you could still let the light in, but still have some privacy.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it’s in a great location. Staff are exceptional.

Unfortunately the food menu is dated and needs a revamp. Too much fried food. I am vegetarian and there were very limited options. The one thing on menu that was vegetarian- green pesto pasta dish I had and it was not edible, bland and pasta over cooked. Tried having the soup option but when they have the same soup from 2 days ago and I didn’t think it would toast any better I declined. Roast Sunday - no vegetarian options

Good location if you don't mind walking 15-20 minutes to HM Theatre (which we didn't mind). Only a 10 minute walk to Duthie Park. Great to be able to park easily within the hotel grounds. They let us check in early which was appreciated. Lovely, generously sized outside seating area. We had a lovely meal at night in the restaurant.

Breakfast a wee bit disappointing. Nothing to help yourself to at all - just order one item off the menu. We had to wait ages for ours to arrive. It would have been nice to have a few basics you could help yourself to - e.g. fruit juice and cereal.

Very convenient for city centre. Friendly personal service and an excellent breakfast included. Our room was lovely though a little cold. A problem with the heated towel rail was fixed very quickly. My evening meal was not as good quality as the breakfasts, but my husband’s fish and chips were very nice. We will definitely visit again.

It would’ve been nice to have had two chairs in a room designed for two people. To watch the tv or just sit reading in the room meant one of you had to sit on the bed which is not particularly comfortable. One of the bedside tables was missing its drawer.

Great views from the room! Tea making facilities were well stocked and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was delicious as well (we had the pancakes and porridge). We were able to drop off luggage before checking in which was very handy.

Slightly too far from the city centre to our liking, but still doable if you don't mind a brisk walk. Shower head kept drooping down, bit of a struggle to fix it in place. The hotel is in an old building which has its charm, but it could do with a deep clean in some places.

The staff was professional, wonderful, and prompt. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Our room and bathroom were clean, inviting,

The bed was the least favorite. Very uncomfortable and we both could feel the springs. Sleep was rough. I did try to take a shower in the morning (due to body being sore from the before) and the water was less than tepid. I showered the night before and it was nice and piping hot. I suppose I missed the window of getting a hot shower in morning.

We booked for one night (Sunday) Upon arrival we were checked in quickly (staff very busy it being a Sunday night around dinner service. The room was huge compared to other hotels. The bed was extra large and very comfortable, everything you needed was in the room, fridge with water, iron, hair dryer and a fan if needed. We eat at hotel which was very good ( Sunday roast special) After dinner we retired to the bar, bar staff very attentive and nothing was to much bother.

Lovely hotel,great location,ease of access and car parking. Room was very nice and comfortable.Nice bar and restaurant areas.

Breakfast was lovely.We had the full cooked version. However,most hotels we frequent offer cereals,yoghurt and fruit as a precursor.Unfortunately these items weren't available and we had to content ourselves with the delicious fried option. Tea and coffee and toast was served but no option to replenish at our leisure.

Staff helpful and friendly. The bar and dining area was comfortable, the food good and the service excellent.

The shower room seemed to have been recently refitted, and there was some unfinished paintwork. The radiatior wasn't working, the window shutters wouldn't shut properly so it was a bit drafty. However, staff checked the radiator and adjusted the towel rail to provide adequate heat. Breakfast - there was no help yourself continental, choices were made from the menu and served to the table. Toast and juice wasn't served automatically, but happily given on request.
