This was a 2nd-floor lovely room in small cosy hotel: excellent bathroom and shower, spotlessly clean with very good facilities. The location right in city centre was just fabulous and also it was an easy walk 5 minutes to the rail station. Lots of cafes very near for breakfasts etc.
Hosts were very helpful. Would have been useful to be told more specifically what time(s) to expect messages regarding details of how to access the hotel and bedroom- - not everyone may have continuous reliable mobile signal and/or Wi-Fi on their arrival day. Noisy street pubs/venues very nearby, as you would expect in that location, but the soundproofing was ok and so only a problem if a window was open.

The location was great and the room served our purposes well, and was spotlessly clean. I was very grateful that the cleaner suggested we leave our bags with her while we explored Aberdeen for the day before catching the ferry to Shetland, as did others. We found it very interesting to learn about the history of the building, and enjoyed our coffee in the attached cafe the next morning.
I had trouble trying to book breakfast on the website so didn't - then I discovered that the cafe wasn't open until 9 am on a Tuesday morning, so that was probably why! It would have been useful to know that in advance. The weather was warm so we wanted the windows open, but there was quite a lot of noise outside in the late evening (pubs closing) and morning (bins being emptied). I don't think there is anything you can do about this though. I was glad to be able to open the windows anyway, which you sometimes cannot do in a city centre hotel.

The young lady(Chloe) looking after this place is so very pleasant and helpful from her attention to our needs and suggesting places of interest to visit, to keeping the place spotless and pointing out there were lockers to leave our luggage after vacating our room; even insisting on carrying our luggage despite her slight build. The cafe downstairs is so useful and it was no bother to them to accommodate alternatives to the set menue. One of the big plusses is the convenient location to everything. Even a taxi ramp round the corner too and near bus and rail stations. If you've heavy luggage a taxi from the rail station just cost £3.40
The 2 flights of stairs may have proved a problem for one person arriving late(after staff hours) with heavy luggage.

We arrived before official check-in time, but were able to leave our bags in the room which was just being cleaned. The host was very friendly, although that was the only time we saw any staff (we didn't opt for breakfast). The hotel works on a key box system, and in theory we should have received instructions on the morning of our arrival, but it didn't matter as we were welcomed in the flesh anyway! The room was large and very comfortable, quiet and with good wifi. There were plenty of places to eat in the area, and it was near the shops if that is of interest. We were sorry to only spend one night there.
On a previous visit to Aberdeen we had walked past the hotel, and I had nearly cancelled the booking as it seemed in a very noisy area and didn't look great from the outside. We were glad that we chose to stay as the interior belies the exterior, although it is rather quirky and may not suit those who like a more traditional set-up.

Great location. I’m a light sleeper and always bring earplugs with me; I was expecting noise due to the location but I didn’t need them. I have a bad back and I’m so glad the bed was comfortable. Full smart TV in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they made me feel safe and well looked after during my stay. The decor when entering the hotel is beautiful and welcoming. Very lovely room. Would return! - the Coffee House (cafe) serves the best food. I popped down for breakfast after checking out.
The radiator in the bathroom didn’t seem to heat up but this didn’t bother me for a night’s stay as I didn’t use the shower while away.

Lovely place. Right in the centre. Modern, clean. Great shower and bed.
Outside noise from pubs may upset some but didn't concern us. Can't expect anything else from City centre. Unfortunately we had some very inconsiderate fellow guests who between 2am and 4am were talking loudly in corridor and opening and shutting doors. If 24 hour desk was available would have complained. Wife and daughter stayed week before and had no such issues so probably just unlucky. Floor sealant of shower needs replacing (room 4)....black. A minor point that takes away from a lovely room. Would stay again. Thanks

Location is excellent, right in the city centre but away from the main street. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. Really nice bathroom and great rain head shower. The housekeeping was wonderful, they cleaned every day. The staff were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble..easy entry and communication about it.
The entrance wasn't the best, a bit dark and lacking in a proper reception etc.

Much like the airbnb we had in Rome, we appreciate the hands off approach of this property. We easily communicated early through WhatsApp, but had we not, the room entry info arrived at 2:15p on the day of the reservation. The room has a cohesive style. The tall/large armoire area was nice. We loved the full bathroom—a real tub!
Vouchers to the coffee shop downstairs or a room mini fridge would have been nice. Ear plugs, too, as the next room neighbor noise is unavoidable.

I liked this small hotel located in Aberdeen city centre. Great location, view from the windows is to the old capel. Good cleaning standarts. Pls note this hotel doesn't have an receptionist and no night deck - make sure that you heve received an email with entry code and room key locker code.
The only issue I would highlight is that the street is full with rubbish bins and the noice coming frm the truck empties the bins not nice at all..

Chloe, the young lady running the place made our stay very pleasant by being so very helpful, keeps the place spotless and is always bright and cheerful. This hotel is so very conveniently placed for bus and train stations/restaurants/high street and even has a taxi ramp just round the corner.
Nothing much but someone arriving late(after staff hours) with heavy luggage might find the 2 flights of stairs at entrance difficult.
