I'd mentioned when we booked that it was our golden wedding - we were given a room with a great view, chocolates in the room and a voucher for drinks at the bar. We had everything we wanted within a 5 minute walk - Vue cinema, Grosvenor casino, Wetherspoons, great museum across the road. Bus station and station just a short walk away, plenty of bars/restaurants in the area and 3 shopping centres within a 10 minutes walk. The staff were very helpful, nothing was ever any trouble and the breakfasts are well worth the money. We booked the Ibis purely because we had stayed in one in Bilbao - so glad we did as we will stay there again if we're in Aberdeen

The central location was excellent. Less than two minutes walk to Union Street. Lots of eating places nearby. A good base to explore the city centre and harbour/sea front areas. Only about ten minutes walk from the train and bus stations. Air conditioning in the room, with the best shower/toilet pod I have ever seen.

The hotel is located near a night club, so quite noisy on Friday and Saturday. This is always something that should be expected in a central city location. If I stayed again, I would request a room overlooking the rear of the hotel towards the harbour. Generally, this didn't dampen the stay for me, but could others.

I liked the location, short walk from train station. The room was clean and warm. The bed was ok, pillows were too soft for my liking though.

When I arrived there was one member of staff on the desk next to reception who was serving drinks to a couple. They were taking a long time, so I waited. The woman apologised to me and I said that was ok. While.serving them, a queue grew behind the couple and also behind me. When the couple had finished being served, the woman started to serve the person behind them even though I had been waiting longer. I expressed my upset over this, so she did come over to serve me from then, but I felt she had a slight attitude about it. I do feel though that there should have been another member of staff working to avoid a situation like this. All I wanted was to check into my room, I had a heavy bag on my shoulder.

It is centrally located near pubs, shopping, many sights, buses, and the train station. The people were nice. Max and Helen were both helpful. The room was comfortable and compact. The shower was fabulous. The area on the first floor offered food and drink much of the day. The breakfasts were varied a bit and had a decent amount of choices. And the hotel was reasonable. The only difficulty I had was difficult to maneuver my suitcase down the street because of the cobbles and pavers. I damaged one of my wheels so go up away from the quay to the transportation or get a cab.

I cannot think of anything.

Very pleasent hotel with everything you need for such a great price. Shiprow is right in the heart of the city so very easy to walk to all the attractions in Aberdeen. Room was cleaned each day. Kettle and tea/coffee making facilities always appreciated. Friendly and helpful staff.

This is my second time in an Ibis hotel and I've realised these rooms are not the quietest. You can clearly hear the cleaners and other external sounds, which is more down to how the rooms are built. If you get up early it won't be an issue, but if you like to sleep in a bit you'll be woken up by cleaners.

Great friendly staff with a smile at check-in...nice. The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable, and the a late check-out at noon was welcome. It's less than a 5 minute walk from the rail and bus stations, so convenient if you are using public transport.

Our room on the first floor was next to or above a neighbouring gym. Generally this wasn't a problem...until a class got going and then the thumping music and amplified instructions from the trainer were quite intrusive. We were going to ask to change rooms, but after about 45 minutes it was quite again so we didn't bother.

For me it was the convenience to city centre and proximity to railway station together with reasonable rates that helped me choose Ibis for my overnight stay. All boxes ticked. Clean bed/en suite, walkable to town for some food and shopping. Was s little rowdy it being close to the port and it being a Friday night. Have to sleep with open windows but came armed with amazing earplugs so no probs! Bonus for me was the warmth and friendliness of the desk staff - nothing was too much trouble for them; smiling welcome, help to book taxi etc. Cant comment on breakfast, had to leave without. Got exactly what I paid for and expected with the added bonus of well yrsined desk staff!

Another plug socket nearer to bed for charging phone.

Friendly staff, smiley all the time, and they were really helpful. The staff remembered that my friend and i said we were going to a show and when we got back, they asked how the show went. They even helped cut the tags of our shopping. The staff were so kind and thoughtful. Amazing location and fabulous breakfast. It's really close to the pubs and shops. Maritime museum across the road. Loved seeing the ships from our window. Really happy with our stay at the hotel. We will definitely go back. PS the staff were amazing 👏

Absolutely nothing.
