The hotel is very reasonably priced for central Aberdeen, especially on a Saturday night. I only paid £41, when all other hotels were looking at least double this. The room, while a bit old and dated served it's purpose well and I had zero complaints about the bed and amenities. The fact for such a low price the room featured a microwave, fridge and cutlery was a lovely bonus. The hotel doesn't have a reception, or indeed staff on the premises during your stay but access arrangements are communicated well in advance, and unlike some other hotels with this set up actually work as they're meant to. There was also a communal kitchen area, which while I didn't make use of, looked well equipped and stocked.

The shower in my room lacked pressure, even turned on full blast, so it was hard to have a good shower. However given the price of the room I can't really hold this against the hotel!

Location, no staff to bother you, just collect keys and get on, instructions can be a bit tricky, but not rocket science, the room was simple, clean, neat, and got all facilities including a kettle and a microwave and a shared kitchen, so all good here. The bathroom is of a decent size, but both the sink and the standing shower are so tiny, even for a skinny guy like me! Hot water can take 2-3 minutes to start coming and it can be a bit frustrating. Otherwise, good stay and clean place. Wouldn’t mind visiting again.

As said, shower is very tiny, hot water takes ages, sink is very small.

Extremely convenient location, within 5 minutes walk from the railway station (over a busy, but fairly easy-cross road); also within a few minutes walk of the centre, and locations such as the ferry terminal. Room was left clean and tidy, and (as requested) quiet away from the road (several rooms at back or on higher floors). Damaged furniture previous to my arrival was noted and promptly attended-to during my stay. Room temperature was just right; hot water worked well.

Key collection: area for using the safe to collect room keys could either (a) have brighter lighting, to better see the numbers on the tumblers (e.g. arriving tired, I had the correct number in mind but mistook the stamped number '6' on one tumbler for another number '8' and thus failed to open the key safe), or (b) the tumblers could have the numbers more clearly marked. On ringing for help, reassurance was available, until i tried once more, squinted closely at the numbers and realised where my mistake was! Bathroom ventilation from adjacent rooms was audible. Windows which can be easily opened would be nice, for fresh air.

This was my first experience with a key-entry property with no attendant staff at check in. I was amazed about the specific and fully explained directions. I had no problems. And all went as stipulated, including the days of service, and contact information, if necessary. I was pleasantly Surprised! All went so smoothly. Great private property. If in Aberdeen, shall definitely use the same again.

The room was very spacious and had a fridge, microwave, and wardrobe. Water pressure in the shower was good. Bed was big and comfortable. Location is close to town but not on a busy street which was nice. There was also a small supermarket very close by.

I didn’t like that the room wasn’t serviced during my stay (I think because I was only there for 3 days), as I had quite a bit of rubbish and some dirty dishes I couldn’t do anything about, which made my stay a bit less comfortable.

Having stayed there before I knew it was a good place to stay, checked in via code on door, went to room 3, was just getting my gear laid out and turned on the TV only to find the screen was smashed, immediately contacted housekeeping as I didn't want to get the blame and just expected the TV to be replaced but no I was upgraded to room 4 which is a double room and room 3 was closed for maintenance. Excellent response by the team and as usual my stay was clean, comfortable and uneventful. I will be back.

Staff very friendly and customer satisfaction is top priority for them. Loved that fact that it has a kitchen, make life easier and not having to eat out everyday! Spoke to one to the owners who was very friendly and very welcoming. Their check in was easy and location is perfect. Right in the middle of everything

The location was within walking distance to the city centre. The communication with Terra Nova was excellent! The door entry system & key collection was easy to follow. The room was cosy, clean, quiet and had everything you need, microwave, fridge and tea & coffee facilities. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend staying at Terra Nova

Although the room could do with new carpets & decorating. it was still great value for money & had more than we expected ie. microwave, decent size fridge, plates, cutlery etc. the short distance from the bus station was excellent as being near all the shops, bars etc. would definitely book this hotel again thanks for a lovely stay.

Great location, close to train station but in a quiet area. Room on 1st floor was comfortable . Felt very secure with front door code and also key box for room key access. Also cctv in operation which was reassuring.

Room is very tired and could do with re- decorating. Sash window has no safety stop so opens fully,
