Quiet - sometimes rooms can be loud when staying above a pub/restaurant- we didn’t find this the case at all and had a very peaceful stay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location was very good for what we needed. Room facilities were excellent, including a lovely shower (though be aware it literally took 5 mins to get warm).

Very minor negatives that wouldn’t have put us off staying. Car park was jam packed on a Saturday night, meaning we nearly didn’t get parked - parking clearly isn’t guaranteed over the weekend due to it being a popular pub and restaurant. A suggestion would be to ask hotel guests if they wish to utilise the carpark on booking and reserve a couple of spots for ‘hotel guests only’. Also - and this is no fault of the hotel but for awareness of guests. Aberdeen has recently introduced a LEZ (low emissions zone) and the hotel sits just outside of this. Turn the wrong way on leaving and you’ll get stung if your car isn’t compliant. Worth noting so you can plan accordingly.

From the time I walked in until the time I walked out, nothing but smiles on the staff's faces. Not often do you find a place that makes you feel like home isn't so far away. Simple courteousness goes a long way for many of us traveling for business. I appreciated that during my stay. It was also a perfect halfway point between the central area where the nightlife is and the office. The facilities were very clean during my stay. Even with the ongoing renovations, it was well maintained. Can't wait to visit again once that is completed. The room was way bigger than I'd anticipated. Breakfast was amazing and the value was unbeatable. I will book the Ferryhill every single time I am visiting.

Due to the renovations, the wifi was a little spotty. Which wasn't a deal breaker for me in any major way.

Our spacious room at Ferry Hill House was beautiful, with a large turret/bay window with velvet floor to ceiling black out drapes and picturesque view of the front and garden/beer garden entertaining space. The multi sliding mirrored closet doors contained a closet, fridge and coffee/tea, bar. The bed was comfortable and the washroom was bright and very clean as was the whole room. We enjoyed two hearty, made to order breakfasts and a delicious dinner in the restaurant and pub, good service and excellent food! All staff were friendly and attentive.

The only thing I would have liked was a sheer panel of curtains on the window so you could still let the light in, but still have some privacy.

Cosy small hotel with character - central but quiet location with green surroundings. Very friendly, helpful, accommodating and hard working staff with an incredible sense for detail. Very clean room & bathroom, good matress, beautiful window view from the roof floor. The hotel also has a nice restaurant with a good variety of dishes - even for vegetarians. We coul not have wished for a better place to stay. Thank you for all your efforts! We would love to come back some day.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it’s in a great location. Staff are exceptional.

Unfortunately the food menu is dated and needs a revamp. Too much fried food. I am vegetarian and there were very limited options. The one thing on menu that was vegetarian- green pesto pasta dish I had and it was not edible, bland and pasta over cooked. Tried having the soup option but when they have the same soup from 2 days ago and I didn’t think it would toast any better I declined. Roast Sunday - no vegetarian options

As requested our room was set up with two single beds which were very comfortable. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly. It was an ideal base for our visit to the area and I would definitely book again.

Parking within the grounds of the hotel could be problematic for guests due to the number of locals who enjoy using the bar and restaurant. I would suggest keeping reserved spaces for guests staying at the hotel if possible.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and took great care of us. The room was huge, clean and quiet, and even came with a fridge. The bathroom was super spacious and functional. Breakfast was simply amazing and we dined at the pub in the evening too, which was also delicious! This was definitely the best accommodation we had on our 11 day trip to Scotland!

The hotel is located a bit outside of the city center, and - as the name suggests - on a little hill. We found it walkable nevertheless.

This hotel was awesome, very easy to find and had plenty of free onsite parking. Our room was clean and very very comfortable and quiet. Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful, we had both dinner and breakfast during out stay and the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The restaurant and bar were busy but maintained a cosy friendly pub vibe, exactly what we were looking for in Scotland. Thankyou for looking after us.

There was nothing to dislike.

Good location if you don't mind walking 15-20 minutes to HM Theatre (which we didn't mind). Only a 10 minute walk to Duthie Park. Great to be able to park easily within the hotel grounds. They let us check in early which was appreciated. Lovely, generously sized outside seating area. We had a lovely meal at night in the restaurant.

Breakfast a wee bit disappointing. Nothing to help yourself to at all - just order one item off the menu. We had to wait ages for ours to arrive. It would have been nice to have a few basics you could help yourself to - e.g. fruit juice and cereal.
