Everything was ok, however I didn't realise there were so many stairs and no lift. I walk with a stick and found the stairs difficult as they are very steep. it might be something you want to say to guests in future. The room was clean enough and the decor was good but did find it a bit steep in price for the size of the room. There was one mirror light out in the bathroom and two other lights were flickering. I went for a bath in the evening and the water wasn't as warm as it could have been. There was no front access for me to leave in the morning and I had to exit via the back door, again I wasn't told this and as I have walking difficulties it took me the long route to get to my car. Staff were all wonderful though, very friendly, very attentive and couldn't fault them.

We liked the location at the harbour and friendly staff. The room was comfortable and a great view of the sea. Breakfast was excellent, a self-service buffet and good variety of fresh food.

Steep stairs up to the rooms, but staff helped with our luggage. Parking can be tricky if it's busy, but it is free parking, and there are other car parks a short walk away.

Location is perfect being situated in the harbour with an amazing view

The hotel closes their doors at midnight and didn’t notice me. This left me stranded on the streets in the middle of the night without being able to access my room a few days in to my stay. Thanks to some really friendly locals at a nearby pub who knew the receptionist I eventually managed to get in. To guests: make sure to get the code before you go out. To the hotel: Make sure to let guests know you close your doors at midnight.

Great place just at the harbor of Stonehaven, picture-perfect view from the room, tea and refreshments provided. After a short walk of about 3 km you reach Dunnottar Castle. Friendly staff, good food and great whisky recommendations. Also not a problem to go for a short stroll after the main course and come back afterwards for the dessert with my table held free for me. Top service, even giving a good recommendation for an alternative walk to the station on my departure day.

There was no WiFi in the room since I was on the top floor, but there was one stair down, so it was okay.

The location and the view were absolutely stunning, the room was lovely and fresh and clean and comfortable and the staff could not do enough to help. The food, drink and service in the pub were also brilliant, along with the unexpected continental breakfast.

There was nothing we would have improved - even the sun came out.

The view over the harbour was lovely both from our room and restaurant. Nice restaurant. Dinner lovely. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room comfortable and nice decor.

On the top floor so quite a climb to get there. No lift. Breakfast is a plentiful varied continental. No cooked breakfast.

We had to remind them twice that we already payed. We were promised a two-seater in both rooms but there was only a chair. The shower screen didn't help to keep the bathroom floor dry. The floor of the room was not level. The beds were very small. The breakfast was not vegan friendly. There was no butter on the first day and no toast on the second day.

The hotel is perfectly placed watching the harbour of Stonehaven, we could hear the seagulls, and smell the North Sea. The village is 20 minute drive from Aberdeen. The staff is very nice and the room was clean and spacious.

We slept at the 3rd floor, it might have been tricky if we needed to carry more luggage. Stairs are steep.

Beautiful location, comfortable, staff could not be more accommodating and friendly. Food was outstanding, seriously good. Good value reasonably priced. Good packed lunch.

Shower ok but not great. Didn’t know breakfast was only continental. Adequate but when working away I like a cooked breakfast to set me up for the day.
