Central location, bright, spacious top floor apartment with traditional features throughout. Tastefully decorated and reasonably maintained. Central Heating worked well. Mountain View out south facing Velux window. Access was by a system of key safes and door codes, which meant that having/leaving keys was not an issue and access was uncomplicated. Host met and explained the access on arrival and main features of the rooms and we were left to enjoy our stay in Ballater.

Only one issue that could be fixed and that was the drainage rate from the shower cubicle. The shower was excellent, with shower pump and nice hot water, but the slow drainage meant you had to stop sooner than you’d have liked, to avoid overflowing onto bathroom floor. Minor detail I suppose.

Breakfast could have been included in the price. As we are of the older generation didn’t like the shower over the bath. A grab handle attached to the walll would have made us feel safer..

This was perfect for me. I came to climb. With a kettle I could breakfast when I wanted and get going. The real bonus was to soak in a bath before walking downstairs to eat. The key arrangements worked well too.

The flannel bottom sheet but that was changed on request.

super comfortable bed, with a great soaker tub with plenty of hot water. Very good nights sleep and was very peaceful and quiet. Easy to self check in, and theres convenient parking just close by.

Would be nice to have a warm room to come to, but I do understand its cheaper to turn off radiators when unoccupied.

We enjoyed being in the center of Ballater, and proximity to restaurants, bakery, grocery, old train station. The room was smaller than I recall when I booked it, but adequate for our family of 3. Bathroom was spacious. While we didn't get a chance to eat there, it seemed to have a tasty Italian restaurant downstairs.

The pullout couch my teenage son slept on was a older variety, and not very comfortable at all. But he's young, and survived. :)

Good location at the heart of Ballater

no fan in the room given the high temperature this summer it would be a good idea to have this. Booked two rooms both the same price but the sizes were quite different. pricing should reflect the size of the rooms

Location was stunning . Free parking across street . No checking hassle just code on room .. and the most amazing Italian restaurant downstairs with best food and staff ..

Wonderful location in the heart of Ballater. Easy access, and the owner was available to show us in when we arrived. Owners run the wonderful Italian restaurant right downstairs.

Was a bit chilly and the radiators wouldn’t kick on. But- it was July with some unseasonably cold evenings.

The green in rooms was very central and super easy to check in too. The main bed was very comfortable and the room had a good amount of space. The hosts were very accommodating and were able to help with requests very quickly.

The sofa bed was not the most comfortable.

Ideally situated in the centre of Ballater. The upstairs suite I stayed in had alovely views of the church square on one side and surrounding hills on the other. There is a bedroom, shower room and large living room space.
